I usually do not comment on your videos, but love watching. When you went to the mall, and I saw LUSH cosmetics behind you, I knew that you were right about the wealth in that state. You see, LUSH is like wholefoods, You will NEVER find a Whole Foods in a poor area ANY where in the US. I live for LUSH products, and having them in a mall near were you live is certaintly a sign of comfort, and prestige. Great job on choosing that state, I am a luxury traveler when I travel, being able to get high quality skin care goods in that location says A LOT about the location. Keep traveling beautiful Maddie, and handsome Jordan, cant wait to see more of your discoveries.

Hello from Dallas, I travelled in Mexico from Jan to March, through 12 states, but didn't get a chance to visit Queretaro, may be next time. I got sick of flying with masks, next time I may drive, I know it's kind of scary, but got to take a chance. I like ocean but not humidity, I did enjoy La paz very much, but not Cabo San Lucas, it seems like all the activities were concentrated at Medona beach, and vendors don't leave you alone. I wish I had seen your videos earlier, I recently discovered you guys, great content, and very informative. Cheers 🥃👍

The weather really is great. I have lived close by in San Miguel de Allende for 12 years now and the weather is virtually identical to Queretaro. When sunny or in the summer months it is glorious and pleasant. One of the reasons we moved here, but starting around November to February you will certainly require some heating device(s) in your home. We have 3 gas fireplaces that cannot heat our home and also have in-floor radiant heat for the coldest periods. Quite expensive in gas, which is not cheap at all. The temperature drops at night and if it is a rainy or cloudy day you will be cold. Fortunately we get around 320 sunny days a year! The housing here is made of brick, cement and rebar with no insulation. Spent 40 years in Quebec, Canada so I am familiar with cold weather but at least the houses up there have central heat and insulation. Do enjoy the lovely summer weather, but be prepared for the cold times.

Queretaro state is definitely on my list as one of my possible destinations for my future home in Mexico. The city there looks beautiful and seems like a very nice place to call home. But me being more of a "country living" guy, I prefer a more rural location. I really like Bernal (with its very own "Devil's Tower"!😎) Or out in (or near) one of Queretaro's rural vineyard lands, which looks beautiful and pretty tranquil. The state has various possibilities for me (along with other Mexican locations I am thinking about). One thing that is for sure is I am really looking forward to begin my new life in Mexico very soon.

Así que pruebenla, viene en la aplicación del IQT en apple store o play store para Android. Y con los taxistas si puedes conocer la ciudad, se saben unas historias bien locas :)) aunque a veces sus unidades están feas, es un servicio chido

Your concerns about security are noted but you don't need to show the outside, just the rooms which would not identify your location. You also are probably the only people driving around in a tangeriniemobile so that's more obvious. • @eliteultra9
      @eliteultra9 3 ปีที่แล้ว

As long as you live in a mid to big size city in Mexico the cost of living is decent, getting any type of pre-owned or CPO will be cheap since there are A LOT of cars.
Mostly full size to compact SUVs.
For comparison getting a 2010 suburban will cost you around 4-7k USD .
Clean, mint, and they are super common.
Getting a 2015+ premium car costs around 10-20k.
Brand new cars are around the same 10-40k.
      Premium cars are around 30-80k.
Exotic cars are common in big cities .
Those cities also have exotic or supercar dealerships.
Most cities have s vibrant nightlife.
All sorts of entertainment cutting edge and traditional can be found in mid to big size cities.
Also México is part of the North American region, so we share a lot of aspects when it comes to the. market.
Full size vehicles are not uncommon.
Expect every major US store and even small stores.
      Home Depot,Walmart,HEB, Carl's Jrs,Ace,Costco,etc.
      Expect every us brand.
And to all of that add Mexican corporate brands which as of now dominate the Market, premium supermarkets, middle class Supermarkets, working class Supermarkets, cutting edge top of the trim Mexican designed and owned stores.
Big Mexican retailers and Mexican restaurants.
Overall if you lived in a US suburb you basically lived in a Mexican suburb.
Even the architecture is about the same on middle to upper middle class suburbs.

I have recently requested the permanent resident visa from the Mexican consulate, Portland, Oregon. The initial process is now on-line. The request is emailed, with a short description of the reason for the request. An official replies with a PDF file. The PDF is completed and returned via email. After 10 days, an in-person appointment date is sent by email. Even though I requested a permanent visa request form, I only received a temporary request form. Communication with the consulate is quite terse.

I would be very interested to hear more about how you meet people. Queretaro looks nice, but it looks like a very car-oriented city. I've found that car-oriented cities increase anonymity and isolation. How do you work around that?

@@Lawman212 I live in the Centro where walking is so much easier than having a car. It is easy to meet people here. It seems necessary to have a car for Laska, but strolling is a good way to get to know the city and the people. For example: Costco is an easy 45 minute walk for me (about two miles) then just Uber back- about 50 pesos. It makes meeting locals fun

It is a well known fact in Querétaro that there is an "agreement" between local government and drug cartels that allow their families live here (El Campanario) but they dont fight each other. Other fact is that a there is a lot of money laundering as investments in the city.
