      The best marketing to sell these affiliate link courses Jordan, would be for yourself to actually do them and show your audience that you can actually speak good Spanish. This way you can push the narrative that the reason of not sounding like a typical gringo anymore has been your "amazing" course :P

    My wife asked me why I was laughing when I was watching the shopping in Costco part. I showed it to her and this is why she said " ladies are all the same " my wife is Thai. You see when we walk in to Costco my wife heads for the clothes and usually buys something, like in your video, but the killer is she always buys something in purple/move like May did. Then the next part in the video is exactly the same as where my wife after looking at clothes goes to the kitchen wear isle and looks at the plates and bowls and always looks at what May did, loves the colors of Mexico. I'm not lying, this is true. 😁😁

      It's disgusting, all the invasive USA corporations in Qro. The Mexicans will learn the hard lessons now. The USA corporations will lower prices to drive out the established smaller Mexican businesses. When those businesses are gone the USA corps will lower the quality of the products sold and rise prices through the roof and literally tell you how you're going to live your life. Look at Jorden, gladly paying $5 usd for a 100ml hot drink of flavored water!!! Many people criticize the Cartels but they are the one's who will save Mexico from the USA corporate takeover.

    Thanks for the video. I live in Texas and honestly we don't have the same dinning options that you have unless you are willing to spend $55 or more for a party of 2. Of course we do have other unique attractions that I think are not available in Mexico such as national parks, golf courses, and haunted houses (the game type). As far as the vehicle you are selecting, I would probably go for a 4 wheel drive, but I would stay away from German and European cars in general unless you are a mechanic. They are just not dependable. For the most part, Subaru or Toyota are great and dependable vehicles. Cars like Lamborghinis just draw unnecessary attraction and Mexico doesn't have any speedways to really try out such cars. Good luck and God bless you two.

    • @TangerineTravels
      @TangerineTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually about a year ago on this channel I first started talking about how it seemed like foreigners were becoming less welcome in Mexico. I think the main reason is because inflation is higher than previous years and it's easy for people/government/media to blame foreigners for their problems.

    • @mvdospeces4370
      @mvdospeces4370 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The reality is that expats are unintentionally causing locals to be priced out of the housing market in some instances. This is not the fault of the expats this is really people asking more for homes in expat popular areas because they know the house will sell, because expats are used to higher home prices and have the money to pay.

    your verbal exchange (i'm avoiding "discussion") about May's dish reminds me of a phrase i'd heard is used by some Mexicans for Mexican-Americans: "nopal en la frente" meaning, as i understand, someone who looks Mexican on the outside but is more white on the inside - analogous with the term 'Oreo' applied to some African-Americans in the past.

      Good point GRINGO VIEJO in avoiding the word discussion in a Mexican video. since in Mexico. Discussion represents a strong verbal confrontation. Very heated and can even end in a fight

    get a new Renault Oroch or Ram 700 UTES (compact vehicles with a small truck bed), or a Renault Duster. All are decent off-road and low price point.

      Once Jordan gets a car, settles into his new rental home, and May's foot problems are taken care of (might need surgery), they said they will do some traveling around Mexico in future videos. I think that Tangerine Travels plans to be around for awhile, so they have plenty of time for that later.

      @TangerineTravels  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If trying to live out of a van for more than a week I'd hate my life. lol. But after buying a car in the next couple of weeks it'll be much easier to take 2-4 day trips to nearby places (like 5 hours drive or less). Laska's getting old and still not 100% recovered from surgery, so it's hard to leave her with anyone else these days.

    Nopal is a type of cactus. My dad's wife is from Mexico, so they go there very often. He said that the nopal in Mexico is way better than the nopal we grow here. He didn't say exactly what the difference was, but he said the nopal in Mexico tastes better than the one here.

      My neighbors grew prickly pear cactus - yes cactus - to eat. There is nothing offensive about eating cactus 🌵 or nopales. It can take on alot of different flavors while cooking.
