    Absolute gut wrenching to here they changed it around, a lot of man hours went into that first fix Tom,
    But if there paying for it we’ll change them handsomely 😢,
    But the Bathroom Saga has another episode or two for the fans to get there teeth into, 😂
    Great job and video as always mate

      Thanks for the support as always Tony, there were quite a few man hours on this job, to most people they are just a few pipes in the wrong place but to a plumber they are our lively hood, it's hard re-doing stuff but like you say as long as I'm being paid we just keep going

    Blimey Tom that's not good 😯.you don't mind some alterations
    But to move it all to a new location takes the wind out of your sails 😯. But like you said we have all been there 😯.
    Hope you get your van sorted quickly. Nothing worse when you are used to having your van and all your bits then have to loose it for a bit 👍👍👍👍👍

    Tom you have a great perspective on the trade. At the end of day I am sure the customer has weighed up the cost to him of this change which includes the work put into the install, the rip out and the additional and new work to meet the new plan and also has to accept the impact on the schedule because of other work you are already committed to for other customers. All the same very disheartening and demotivating. Keep up the good work.😀👍

    • @PlumbLikeTom

      Thanks for the support mate, it does happen on jobs where people change plans, it's normally just move the odd thing, not entire bathrooms though, I hate not having my own van, it's not the tidiest but I know where everything is, working from a hire van is difficult, hope yours passes it's MOT, thanks for watching as always

    Well it looked good Tom but such is life.
    I got a job on at the moment. from the boiler the flow & return hot & cold need to be moved as a window coming out & French door is going in, the problem is the pipes are in the way, the choice is either dig a channel in the floor across where the French door is going & it's solid concrete or go up from the boiler into the ceiling and across and back down, terrace house converted to two flats. ground floor obviously. Was going to move the boiler but doesn't really solve my problem & gas would have to go in ceiling void also.

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds a bit of a nightmare mate, sometimes it is easier to get the pipes in the floor depending on the screed depth, every job is different though, I'm sure you will make a great job of it, thanks for watching as always

    Disheartening is the word you’re looking for Tom, after spending so much time making it look so well in copper 🙁
    As long as the bills get pay it’s a scenario of yes Sir it’s possible but just time consuming with “your” change of plan!!
    It is what it is 🤬🥴😁

      Thanks for the support as always Paul, it is gutting to have to rip it all out, it's not the first time it's happened, have a great weekend mate

    Gotta keep your head up pal. How did you size those radiators mate?

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the support as always mate, the rads were spec'd and are slightly oversized for the rooms, they are having covers over them though I believe and I should be able to run the boiler at a lower flow temperature to make it more efficient, these places leave the heating on all day and night so if the boiler in condensing all the time it should help to reduce the bills a bit, I can do a video on rad sizing at some point mate if it helps

    Disheartening is the word your looking for mate… I do work non stop for a housing association and you have to work backwards a lot of the time…. Rip out work when you’ve not long done it as it’s been trashed by a tennant for example. Crack on mate and chin up! And get ya mug sorted for a brew lol!

      Thanks for the support mate, there is nothing worse than ripping good work out, I can't imagine what it must be like to have people destroy it, it must be tough some days when you have to keep re-doing the same jobs, thanks for watching mate

    • @PlumbLikeTom
      @PlumbLikeTom  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not a massive fan, it is all spec'd as copper on this job but pex would probably work out cheaper and quicker, thanks for watching mate

    Or mate that’s bad luck, don’t let it get to you. Just make sure you don’t loose any money, I could see how gutted you were.

      I just used gaffa tape, it's just to stop the copper reacting with the plaster or block, I'm not a fan of denso in the wall as I've seen it where it has bleed through the finished plaster, thanks for watching as always 👍
