Don't know about Sam's Club because I've never been but Costco seems to be missing an opportunity to point customers towards where they can buy the hot dogs and buns they use in the store

I've never been to a Costco that doesn't sell Kirkland brand hot dogs, which consistently win best hot dog reviews (except for here, where it seems they sampled only one hot dog from each store). They are the same hot dog they use in the food court.

I’m very pro Costco. Used to belong to both n left Sams club. I find Costco food court to better tasting than its competitors. I just wish they’d bring back the combo pizza. ❤

I'm pro-Costco, too. However, KOSHER dogs, such as: HEBREW NATIONAL and SABRETT are the best (along with those served at NATHAN'S and KATZ'S plus THE PAPAYAS in NYC)! 🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭
Costco pulled the sauerkraut during the pandemic and never brought it back. Personally, I would pay more for it if we could have sauerkraut.
They just have it behind the counter now. You just ask for it and they will give you little cups of it. Sadly no onions though :(

also need an option for a chili which would improve a just average hot dog to good.
Both of the Costco's local to me have pump dispensers for ketchup, mustard, and relish. They used to offer an auger-fed crank of diced onions, but it seems those have been removed a few weeks ago. I do miss the onions. Costco also used to sell the Polish sausage dogs. I liked those quite a bit.
When I go to Costco I always get the fillet mignon with a side of lobster tails. To drink I go with a glass of Dom Perignon.

Best all-beef dogs I've eaten are Nathan's and Hebrew National. So, anyone who uses either, gets my vote.
Some hot dog purists feel the dog should extend past the bun on each side of the bun.
The chocolate chip cookies at the Costco food court are fabulous!

Not anymore they use the huge Sam's club pack hotdogs now.
@@nowthatsfunny1 ...I think they use Member's Mark hot dogs, at least this is what they told me when I asked, so I buy those now...they're very thick, juicy, and grills up rather nicely.

My Costco/Sam's Club Costco wins out. The bun is better but the actual hot dog is bigger. Also Costco has kiosks to order at and they call your number when ready, really fast. Sam's Club just has a LONG line so when I go there I usually don't eat anyway.

I will never know the difference between the two. The waltons get enough of my tax dollars and not a dime of my discretionary income.
It's about the meat. Sam's is better quality meat, a snappy-er casing, and more natural. You can keep the Costco artificial coloring and preservatives.
I'm a member at both stores. I have had hot dogs from both. To me, Costco is the clear winner!!
I belong to both clubs. I prefer the Sam's Club hot dog much better. Plus they have both a hot dog or a polish dog. And they offer onions and sauerkraut. Costco only has a hot dog and no longer has onions or sauerkraut.

The review seems biased. The Sam's Club in "my area" has terrible hot dogs, tasted like giant Vienna sausages. Yuck.

The polish from costco was the best, but the idiot stopped selling them. Strange they didnn't say anything about that???? So I no longer eat costco dogs. I like Sam's hotdogs. It has a skin with a crunch to it. I think Sam's taste better. Would be good if someone did a blind taste test between the two.

This was an interesting comparison, but IMHO, totally unnecessary. I would rate anything that Costco sold far above anything Sam's Club sold. Sams is know for cheap goods, always. Costco represents and sells quality. Always.
