      In fact, getting a X670E/X670/B650E/B650 could be better value especially if you can score one for cheap till they become completely unavailable!

    It has the m.2 easy latch and it comes with m.2 screws.

    • @ALKtech
      @ALKtech  18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The M.2 EZ-Latch is found only on the first M.2 slot - the second and third M.2 slots use a traditional standoff and screw arrangement, hence the inclusion of screws!

    The problem is that all of these X870/X870E are crazy expensive compared to their previous counterparts. For example this one costs almost twice of a B650 Eagle AX

      b650 does not support pcie gen5, only b650e does and models that use it are more expensive than x870 eagle/gaming that *does* support pcie gen5

      @@morgwai667 not entirely true, the cheap eagle (and a lot of normal b650 boards) does support gen 5 ssd just not gen 5 pcie which is useless either way as a 4090 barely saturates gen 3 x16 let alone gen 4, if you want to pay double for a single feature that you won't be able to take advantage of for years be my guest ( i have a x670e rog hero crazy expensive board and i have fallen in the same trap but i'm gonna sell it as it's totally useless and overkill, i can buy 4-5 eagles out of this one)

      @@asdzsolt6442 upgraded b650e has to have 5th gen support for m.2 and gpu and usb4. AMD could have just called a b850e which is essentially what it is. There’s little reason to actually buy a x870 non-e with the Nova around.

    how many A is needed for 9950X?

    • @ALKtech
      @ALKtech  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Most motherboards of today at the mid-range and above have pretty decent VRM setups that are enough for even flagship processors - while I can't say exactly the number of amps "needed" to comfortably power a 9950X, going by other reviews out there, the 9950X has a TDP of 170W and draws slightly under 200W under heavy workloads. I'd say that the X870 EAGLE WIFI7 shouldn't have any issues handling a 9950X!

      @@ALKtech Thank you. I see most x870 boards are rated 60,80,110A. Should I go for those 80A rating as mid-range?

      @@ericli3091 if your budget permits for it, sure, especially if your intention is to overclock your PC! That said, going with a motherboard with better VRMs also means you get nicer bells and whistles too, which will then increase the price 😅 do you have some other models in mind already?

      @@ericli3091 I find that ASRock's offerings are pretty value-for-money, where they tend to be cheaper but with nice features. x870 uses the same chip as b650

    • @morgwai667
      @morgwai667 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      b650 does not support pcie gen5, only b650e does. both x870 and x870e do support pcie gen5 OTOH while b8x0 have no/marginal support for pcie gen 5 (meaning of 'b'/'x' prefix and 'e' suffix has changed, whoever at Gigabyte thought it would be a good idea to confuse ppl like this should be fired...). so x870e=x670e, x870=b650e and very roughly b850~=x670.
