He was respected on the world stage, he never embarrassed our country on the world stage, he was qualified to be our PM with a degree in economics and he knew how to balance a budget. House prices increased by more than 60% during the Harper years
I liked Harper, but the realities are what they are
Just as the US liquidity crisis was outside of harper’s control, the retirement of the peak Babyboom age group is beyond the control of the current PM
There are only 2 levers Trudeau could use to prevent a top heavy distribution from becoming a huge tax burden
1 - import lots of working age immigrants
2 - do an even worse job than the US did at controlling COVID so that millions of retirees died before they got the chance to need hip replacements and other expensive treatments old people need

I miss having Stephen Harper as our PM, he warned Canadians about Trudeau and he was right. Not once did Stephen Harper get Canada into the condition that it’s in now, I don’t recall hearing about encampments like there is now, very few people used food banks back then unlike now and Canadians could afford a home, unlike now.

Stephen Harper also warned us during his campaign that we couldn't afford the Liberals because Liberals run deficits and he would not. That was a sign of a failed government. OK. He then went on to leave behind 8 consecutive deficits and destroyed the Alberta and and Ontario economies. When asked if he failed the people, he was insulted by the question. 😶😶. Prentice was then asked how it went so horribly wrong under Harper. He replied "It's the voter's fault". Listen to him. He tells the truth so rarely.

Did Harper reallly think Canadians would listen to sense?Mr Harper was the most common sense prime minister we probably ever had but he wasn’t good enough for woke Canadian garbage.

I cant agree with all of Harpers decisions, but can say he maintained a stable country during some hard times. His prediction of Trudeau was greatly underestimated. The sheeple who voted Trudeau in will have a great deal of debt, an immigration problem, and a crime rate that grows daily.
