You guys clearing your drives reminds me of our neighborhood when I was growing up on the farm. All the farmers would help each other with planting and harvest. Lots of good times, good memories, and great people.
great video I like that you guys help each other don't see a lot of that anymore wish I was there to have a coffee with you and Guy enjoy thanks for sharing say hi to Guy take care
Love seeing you and guy plowing together as a team, Glad to hear you don't have issues with windows fogging, defrost is nothing more than Heat + A/C, They use heat + A/C together because A/C goes through a "refrigerator dryer" which allows it to be super dry air.. so that coupled with the heater makes for nice warm yet dry air which is why it works so well for drying up windows.. The biggest key also is keeping your outside windows dry, as long as the windows are dry on the outside you shouldn't have too many issues with fogged windows. Its great to see how well your cab has been working GP, keep up the great content your channel is doing excellent!!
When putting additives in your fuel. Add them before you add the fuel, so the fuel mixes it as you fill up. Other wise it takes much longer to mix. Another fine video GP, Thank you for sharing !!
Thanks again Gordy for the video. I’ll bet your neighbor Guy is very thankful you are there with the blade to get down to the base. You two guys work well together. Wayne
Great video Gord I love my Kubota rear blade it comes in handy so many times. I can pull snow away from garage doors as well as reversing it and knocking down City plow piles at the end of the driveway. Being the first driveway around a corner my moms driveway gets loaded with snow from the plow. I have been lucky that I’ve never had a fogging issue with my Tektite Cab. I do the same as you. I start the tractor and let it warm up for 10-15 minutes before I even think of blowing snow. I always check the temp gauge to make sure the tractor is up to temp. Most times I can get away without the heat turned on because the cab cuts the wind and that’s half the battle. The Tektite cab is nowhere near airtight and has plenty of spots where a draft cab come in. Today it was -20 and a bitter cold wind off the Big Lake and this time I had the heat on right away. I dress reasonably light warm enough to shovel outside but not sweat in the tractor and the heat in the Tektite cab was perfect. I even turned it off a few times. Boy do you notice the difference when you finally step out of the heated cab. I use a product called Howes Diesel Treat and it does the job removing water and preventing gelling up. Twice this winter I blew snow without putting the fuel cap back on 🤦♂️ and I immediately added the Howes Diesel treat. Got 5 driveways done this morning and soon I’ll take my great niece and great nephew for a tractor ride. Enjoyed the video!
Hi Gord! Neighbors helping neighbors. Always nice to see! OrangeTractorTalks is a great resource as is the TractorBuyNet forums. You can pretty much find the answer to any question between the two. I use a diesel conditioner too and never have a problem with water condensate or gelling. They help keep your fuel injectors clean too. I enjoyed the video! Thanks for sharing!
Good day GP, 👍😊 All Toyota's and other maker's have that from factory for all their motor vehicle equip with A/C. The A/C turn ON when you switch power on your heater for dehumidify the cold air entering the vehicle also keeping the floor dry help a lots !!! Great tips 👍 Guy front snowblower is working very good 👍😊 Great spirits for Guy ( fresh ! ) Have a great week too Sir Cheers !!!
LOL. This video could be one of the greatest sales tools for ordering a cab on your next tractor. Watching Guy blowing snow just makes me feel cold, especially knowing how comfortable you are in your cab. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Just love watching the snow roll off the blade. I also add an additive to my winter fuel - Power Service in the white bottle. Never had a gelling problem. Great to see you two working together. Bet Guy added something extra to his cup of coffee to keep from "gelling up". Great video and thank you. Steve from Minnesota
As others have noted, cars and trucks with automatic settings will engage the a/c system even in the coldest of winter weather, to eliminate the high humidity. As Neil Messick pointed out on his channel, a very large proportion of his Pennsylvania Kubota customers want a cab tractor, more for winter than summer! You and Guy just proved the point for your viewers.
I love your set up Gord. The cab seems a bit noisy but I imagine that is the camera mike picking that up. Everyone that I have talked to that has a Kubota cab tractor likes how quiet they are. I have never driven one. I have driven the Deeres and their cabs are famous for being super quiet. Thanks for sharing some really good information.
Good morning and thanks Gary. I have to say I have not driven a JD but I agree, the mic does not help but I still hear that whine when I am not wearing ear protection. LOL. Thanks again - have a great week!
Hi G.P. another great video. Lots of beautiful scenery and the tractor is looking good to. Nothing like great friends as well. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week
Good morning GP. Sure is pretty up there. It's so refreshing to see neighbors helping neighbors. Thanks for producing such a great channel to watch. Keep safe and warm.
Good morning Gord and Guy, good to see you two out and about! Looked a little chilly for Guy this morning. It’s great seeing you both trading off and enjoying your friendship. We are in the deep freezer down here in Deep East Texas this morning. It’s 7 degrees and snow on the ground and doesn’t look like improvement for a couple days. Have to keep the water dripping to keep from freezing. We will be wanting some of this weather in July to September 🤣. You all stay safe up there and keep having fun. Fred.👍👍👏🏻👏🏻
Morning Fred! I sure hope you are doing ok. Been watching the tragic news down there for the last few days. Stay safe and warm. Hope you and your family are staying safe.
Finally got the generator hooked up and running but it’s acting up, I will keep playing with it and see if I can get through tonight. They did get our water back on today so if I can keep the generator going to keep us warm I’ll be happy. Fred
Tag team snow removal...a real time saver. We are starting to get two major snow events here in ohio, between the two we may get as much as a foot of snow. that's a bunch for us. or we'll get a couple inches....lol no telling. Have a great week. Cheers
Boy, you two guys make quite the “tag team”, one scrapes snow for the other to blow away. I sure wish I had a friend that let me diesel-up for free. Must be a good friend!
Like Paul said, they square up every so often. GP showed it and talked about a log book, in one of the fire wood videos last fall. Definitely a lot easier than Jerry cans..... and without the expense of setting up your own tank and pump.
Tag Team snow removal getting it done! Looked like the blade was faster than the blower, or Guy just didn't feel like driving that fast out in the cold...lol...and I wouldn't blame him! Good thing he was bundled up!
It's like a free Vacation. Being in a toasty Tractor Cab blading snow watching the breathtaking scenery. Do you see Deere walking around? Gotta Love It! Mark.
Love the teamwork between neighbors! With the pending two storms coming our way the B2650 will be out and about to help the neighbors as well. Enjoy the day GP Outdoors.
That cab is especially nice in weather like this. Working together made short work of the project. Maybe for Christmas Guy should by himself an MX5400 with a cab.
When adding fuel conditioner it's always best to add the product prior to filling your tank. That way it mixes up faster from the turbulence as you add fuel on top of it. It's the same when filling small containers. Add the conditioner first and then fill the container.
Hi GP, great tip for keeping the windows from fogging up. The first time I got to use the snow blower on my LX3310 I forgot I had a rear window defroster! I'm still getting used to having a cab!🙄 Cheers!
Nice video. Glad you mentioned the diesel fuel conditioner, even though the tank has been treated. The rear blade adds so much to the snow removal, and being able to move the blade while you are plowing without getting out off of the tractor is huge. The set up you have is what we are using making the tractor every efficient. It is nice that Guy lets you use his diesel fuel. What you did not mention are the temperatures right now in your area. We are warm right now with 28 degrees (f).
How's shew goin'? Nice job plowing and the 2 tractors are a great and quick way to clear the road!!! I liked your answers to the questions. That is good info!! Take care and say Hi to Guy!!!
Running the AC is a huge help. We've been doing it while plowing for years. Keeping the heat and fan on high dry out the eyes and nose when you have to spend 12 hours in the truck.
Well, I know this video is 2 years old, but I just learned something new about dealing with my cab windows fogging up in the Winter. I'm going to give running the A/C a shot and see if that works for me.
Maybe we can get a post of the Orange Tractor sight in comments or your introduction/write up? (Don’t know what that’s called officially) Great channel so far..really enjoying it. You have what I would consider that awesome tool that folks like us in the country could use on a daily basis. Also doing light landscaping, it would be a great asset. It’s definitely on my wish list anyway...a guy can dream right. 👍
Boy that old L really chews through the snow. I know it wasn't a lot of snow but I'm surprised how well he was able to keep up with you. I'm not sure my B2650 would be able to travel at that speed in those conditions.
First, I want to say I enjoy your video as they are really well done. You have the heart of a teacher and it shows. Second, I was wondering if you could tell me how you do your sound? Is it via bluetooth to a phone? You voice audio is mostly very clear.
Good morning and thanks very much Shane. I use a Rodes Wireless Go most of the time - so far it works pretty good. Sometimes I will just use the mic on the camera itself - in this video I used the Rode. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Your absolutely right GP on the Ac ..it takes the moisture outta the air. I new a guy who had a lexus car and he sold it cause his windshield always fogged up. He bought a new car same brand and same problem. I told him to turn on the AC and he camd back a few weeks later and thanked me..mind you he lost alot of money in trading in his car for something sooo simple
Next time I check mine... I’ll try it cold with the implements down. Then I’ll check them again warm with them up. I’m curious to see if there is much of a difference.
Thanks David! The mechanic said there should be much of a difference - up or down but he agreed overall, to check them down and always check them the same way. Let me know what you find!
Hello GP, I felt so sorry for your neighbor running his Kubota w/o the benefit of a nice warm cab. I ended up getting a set of Land Pride forks two weeks ago for my Kubota like yours after watching one of your older videos. I've already used them for lifting various sections of the greenhouse I'm building. My wife went from wanting a 16 foot greenhouse to a 24 foot greenhouse; lot of work. How did you ever convince your wife to let you have so many attachment toys for your tractor? LOL. Stay warm my friend.
Good morning Cliff. LOL. She doesn't go out back of the cottage too often....so......:))). That's great that the forks are working out for you. They come in handy so often. Talk to you soon Cliff!
Nice job! Well we finally got some Canadian weather down here in south Louisiana! More sleet accumulation than snow. Won't need a tractor yet, LOL Temps to get up to 29f for high today! Prediction for same most of this week.
The only time I have had issues with my cab fogging up is when the wind blows the cold snow back at me. I usually run with the a/c on to keep it dry, but that cold snow blowing back on you fogs it up every time. Maybe you don't have an issue because you are in the woods and protected from the wind.
If any one is buying a tractor and debating to go for the cab or not they should watch this vid. GP drives past the camera no jacket bare face big smile no gloves no goggles, ball cap. Guy drives past....I think it was Guy all I could see for heavy clothing and a layer of snow and ice on him was his eyes. Go for the cab. LOL
I always make sure the hydraulic cylinders are always retracted or sucked in. This way if all the cylinders are fully out when you fill the tank as all the cylinders get sucked in your tank can actually over fill. Iv seen it at my work we had to slowly retract all the cylinders with the hydraulic tank dipstick out and as the cylinder retracted all that extra oil vented out the dipstick hole and made a mess... so if it won't vent you'd over pressure the system and something will let go to vent.
There’s always the same amount of hydraulic fluid in a cylinder (air not withstanding), it doesn’t matter what side of the piston the fluid is on. The fluid area of a cylinder is defined. Heat would be more of a concern as to volume expansion, or possibly overfilling.
GP, maybe Guy should have you drink your coffee outside to make things even, lol! Nice one as usual, but it’s totally not fair for you to be blading snow in your summer clothes.
GP I notice a lot of videos when you shut your tractor down.. you go right from running it to turning the key off normally with Diesel's you should give them a chance to cool at a idle specially in the winter something you might want to research. Normally three four minutes at a idle it's what I was told as a Young Man first operating equipment
Morning Benjy. that's a great point - the magic of video. I always let it run after use before shutting down. I should probably mention that. The tractor is shut down and turned on a lot during filming. Usually when you see me pull up and shut it down for example, it is because it was just started to film the scene. :)) Thanks though - it is a great point for folks as a while ago, I sign;t know I should. Thanks again!
Hey GP, I have a LX3310 cabbed tractor, if you look behind your right shoulder there’s a toggle so to speak. If I have mine on recirculate my cab seems to fog up, if I have it switched to fresh air my cab seems not to fog. Not sure if it really makes a difference, just my observation.
LOL! Thanks! I just looked at it and it was on "fresh air" - I didn't even know . This is great info - I will try it on recirculate and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for sharing - All the best!
Gord, thank you for addressing the fogging of the cab question. I have not employed the sequence with the A/C so I will try your methodology! I was just wondering what the typical relative humidity at your location is? I am perched in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean so humidity is always saturated for the season and given day. Thank you again and best wishes M
God day Dean. we have a humid environment here - can't say roughly what it is but the other suggestion is to try with the fresh air/recirculation vent (rear roof level behind your head) in both positions see which works best. Good luck!
I'll give you a pointer on Kleen-Flo.They make another Fuel additive for diesel and its called "lubricant".Its primary jobs are 2 things,it conditions, although most cold weather diesel is already set up from the factory for this, and it LUBRICATES your injector pump, which is the hearbeat of the operation more so than just a fuel conditioner.KLEEN -FLO DIESEL LUBRICANT.
Hello Gord. Nice to see the 2 tractors working together. Since you have the cab I would have thought that you would have been blowing and having Guy do the balde work. 😄 I was looking at Guy's blower. It looks like a 3pt blower with a custom FEL mount bracket and using the mid pto. Is that what his setup is?
Hi Gordon... Thanks for another great tractor video. Once again I wish I had a neighbor like Guy. Would you please comment or refer me to a previous video(s) about the antipollution aspects of the engine on the LX2610. Looking for info about does it go into regen mode, how often it goes into the regen mode, how long it remains in that mode and do you find it troublesome dealing with these aspects of your new tractor? Thank you.
Good morning Tom. Thanks - yes, he is pretty awesome! The 2610 has no re-gen requirement. It falls below the requirement (only about 25 HP). So there is no other thing to do but run the tractor. The larger LX3310 does have a re-gen requirement. Hope that helps Tom!
Very timely as I got a B2601 Monday and we are supposed to get a big snow tonight. Thanks! Love your videos. I have a question. Is rear ballast needed if I am pushing snow with my front blade? I do have fluid filled tires. And I have a box blade I could use. But it's a little easier to get my tractor in its shed without the box blade on.
Keeping in mind I've been driving on my 700' driveway to the build lot in Nova Scotia all winter without plowing until last week's first storm, do you think a tractor the size of yours could get by with only a rear blade to clear snow? Debating getting a blade with a swing arm for offset sot the banks can be winged back more easily, but afraid of spending extra and ending up still needing a snow blower anyway. It might mean a long day or two per winter, but I'd love to save the snow blower money and get a flail mower.
GP, getting ready to buy a LX2610 with cab for a second property. Besides the whine, the thing that concerns me is your comment about the tractor lurching occasionally. Has that quirk mitigated at all?
Morning Ronald. It has indeed. Much smoother now so very happy about that. Also if they have one on the dealer lot, ask them for the keys and take it for a drive around the lot for 15-20 minutes. I also understand now that there are adjustments the dealer can make to the pedal etc. Good luck and all the best!
Morning Evan. It was made by a local fab company here for the Kubota L series years ago. He got it at the same time he bought his L series about 16 years ago. It runs off the rear PTO. If you are interested, you will find a few videos I did on it last winter on the channel home page. Have a good week out there!
Every morning I wake up and see the beauty my friend. Every moment of every day.
Cheers DJ!
You guys clearing your drives reminds me of our neighborhood when I was growing up on the farm. All the farmers would help each other with planting and harvest. Lots of good times, good memories, and great people.
That's great Duck. It is a whole lot nicer working with neighbours for sure. A lot more fun too usually. All the best!
@@GPOutdoors Glad your neighbor is good to be around and work with.
Great tips and I love watching The Tractor move the snow when I’m running my tractor it’s enjoyable great video
great video I like that you guys help each other don't see a lot of that anymore wish I was there to have a coffee with you and Guy enjoy thanks for sharing say hi to Guy take care

When putting additives in your fuel. Add them before you add the fuel, so the fuel mixes it as you fill up. Other wise it takes much longer to mix. Another fine video GP, Thank you for sharing !!
Thanks for a cool video. I don't have a cab and most of the time I don't want one BUT when I am clearing snow I really wish I had a cab!
Great tag team on removing snow. Look forward to your visit on the Back 40 Firewood live stream this Friday! WST
Thanks WST! I am looking forward to it. Cheers!
Thanks again Gordy for the video. I’ll bet your neighbor Guy is very thankful you are there with the blade to get down to the base. You two guys work well together. Wayne
Thanks Wayne! Have a safe week!
I love seeing the teamwork with Guy. It's great to have a neighbor who is also a good friend.
You guys are fortunate to have your friendship. Be careful and work safe.
What a nice neighbor. Team work is what gets it done.
Nice to see neighborly teamwork!
You guys seem to be a great bunch of friends out there!
Nice see neighbours helping each other, tractors work well together 😊

LOL!
Well done. Coffee with a shot of brandy is in order.
That's a pretty funny story CM - not for him of course but still kind of funny. Hope he liked the new car as much as the old one. Take care!
Won't need a tractor yet, LOL
Temps to get up to 29f for high today!
LOL
-27 degrees F. in Esko Minnesota today. The Kubota B2620 will stay in the heated garage today. Russ
Good morning and thanks Peter! I don't think I had heard that before but makes sense, I think. Thanks for sharing!
There’s always the same amount of hydraulic fluid in a cylinder (air not withstanding), it doesn’t matter what side of the piston the fluid is on. The fluid area of a cylinder is defined. Heat would be more of a concern as to volume expansion, or possibly overfilling.
Have you ever tried to run the snowblower and the blade at the same time
GP, maybe Guy should have you drink your coffee outside to make things even, lol!
Snowblowing in an area that is woodsy is better than blades because of snowbank buildup.

I was looking at Guy's blower.
@@GPOutdoors that is awesome
What blower is the other guy running?
Morning Evan. It was made by a local fab company here for the Kubota L series years ago. He got it at the same time he bought his L series about 16 years ago. It runs off the rear PTO. If you are interested, you will find a few videos I did on it last winter on the channel home page. Have a good week out there!
What blower is on your neighbors L3400?
1hr up 1359 views very kool love the truckor and cab do you have to use the BLUE DEATH at all?
GP... have ya noticed any difference in performance with the added cab/heater usage?
Hi Randall - not at all. I don't notice any difference at all. Cheers!
is there any way to fix the hydraulic whine on that tractor?
I hate to be a pain, but I couldn't quite hear the internet site you recommended?
Morning Rick. It's called Orange Tractor Talks. Cheers!
Diesel conditioner . I picked it up from the dealer . Its called . . . . . . . Diesel conditioner
LOL!
I hear you be on Back40 live stream on Fri. See you there.
I thought Guy had a tractor with a cab?
You bet Larry! I am looking forward to it. No not yet but hoping he might take the plunge at some point. See you then!
❄️⛄️☃️🥶☕️👍
