I do have a drive way long enough to justify buying one of those beauties, my problem is my CLIMATE does not support me buying one of those beauties! It would seem it hasn't snowed in Northern VA in the past 3 years! At least to an amount that would require the use of a blower! For now, I'll stick with my loader and scraper blade until the next ice age sets in. Eh!
Just to add, here in eastern Canada, we have loads of snow, but I'll have to stay with my Cub Cadet 28 inch two stage which is a great machine. But I still wish I could have an excuse to buy one of those Kubota beauties. At my age, it's no longer what you need but what you want...(sigh)
Looking at climate change and the Polar Vortex going south, way south and more often, you may want to consider an upgrade option making a lot more sense. If you do and I suggest you do, don't forget to get power steering as that blower is heavy, so is the front of the tractor, you won't regret it.
Gordy, Almost ran out of gas? LOL. I am amazed at how much snow can be blown with the LX2610 and LX2980 blower. We've had nothing like you're blowing in this video yet, but it'll come. I like watching the tractor work from a perspective I can't see when I'm in the cab staying warm and dry...
LOL. I can't tell you how many times I have almost run dry and Guy laughs at me, Mike! It doesn't;t use a lot so I tend to not pay attention. Yup - hoping for more! Take care and all the best!
@@GPOutdoors Gord you need to start doing like we did when i was driving semi . We had a rule that you fuel up after each days work . Keep the tank full and get less condensation !!
How's she goin'? Nice job clearing the snow GP!!! That front blower is really working good for you!!! Glad to see that!!! Clearing your lane in 2 trips will save a lot of time and fuel!!! I think you're liking the cab too eh!!! Thanks for sharing the beautiful views of your lane with the snow on the trees!!! Some nice buddy!!! Take care!!
Glad I can say....that is an attachment I will never see in my barn or on my new LX 2610. When and if it occurrs (like it did earlied this year), I just sit inside and watch it melt.
It's nice to be able to get out and "play" this time of year. Here on the NE coast we've only had 1 significant snow storm(15") and it's been only a dusting here and there since. So important to clean off the blower when done, glad you showed that task. One time I put my walk behind snow thrower in the unheated shed when I was done and didn't clean it. A few days later another snow storm and the blower was jammed and wouldn't start. Turns out the impeller was jammed with a big ice ball that formed around the blades. I had to plead with the wife to use her hair dryer to solve the problem! Best Regards, Jay
You mentioned getting low on fuel and not paying attention. Was trimming trails to back of property this week, with LT sled, ran out of fuel at the back,3300 ft back,at prop line of all places.I just got complacent. Also no snow shoes with me.We got about 24" snow in bush now in mattawa.Tractor works good,Im glad that snow is dry.
Oh geez MD. I'll bet that walk was the toughest workout you had in a while - no need to go to the gym for a while! LOL! I'm glad I noticed in time. :)) Have a good week out there!

Greetings Gord, Lee here, we got 10 inches of light fluffy yesterday, takes me 2 and a half hours to plow 3 driveways, have a front blower but I like to plow, so, I only use the blower for the deep heavy snow. Great to have a, "HAPPY PLACE TO GO EH !!" You and your family keep well, later

Gordo mentioned this and he even double checked with other dealers that his blower was paired and matched for his 2610 and they all said yes. But boy that RPM drop really does make me wish he had an that extra 10hp as you say.
Hi Don. It drops pretty hard when faced with an incline. I need to keep an eye on it and drop my speed to keep up the RPM I think. It's a big blower for sure. Have a great weekend!

We too had out first 'real' snowfall, only this Thursday evening into Friday morning ( Jan.21/22 ) and I got a chance to finally, go plow and blow the snow from 5 driveways. Good fun, isn't it Gord? I always did enjoy snow clearing, whether it is plowing it or now, with my Tractor mounted blower , blowing it away. Thanks for the video it was enjoyable to watch. Cheers!
Good morning Reg! It is really nice getting out there especially now with heat and shelter. Big difference for me. Glad you got out and had a little fun!
Finally GP...some cool snow blowing !! But I tell ya....you sure look comfy in that cab. It may take a little more work living back in the woods, but the payoff is worth it as you know. I bet about another six inches and the LX2601 would sure have a snoot full !! Have you had to bleed your injectors yet because of running out of fuel? This one may only have a single bleed point at the rail, but the older ones (Ford backhoes and the like) had to be bled individually. Not fun in the middle of the woods.....)-: LOL Awesome video my friend.
Was great to see a half decent snowfall finally , T. I have not, and hope never to have to. It doesn't need filling too often so I tend to forget until it is just about too late but so far, I have made it in time. :)) Thanks - be well and safe T!
I bet that tractor doesn't use any gas LOL. It is beautiful there. When you're doing your own place it doesn't really feel like work. Besides when it snows that much it's usually a lazy day so it's nice to have something to do. A friend of mine was told by his full time neighbours that if he comes to the cottage they'll call the police. I don't really understand all these lockdown rules.
LOL! Yup, it was diesel. :)) Geez, that is unfortunate for your friend, Chris. I imagine he won't be on the Christmas card list this year. Take care and keep smiling!
Good morning Gord, sure glad to see you finally have some real winter up there. It will help with the flow of nature for your area and where the melt goes in the spring runoff ! Sure was a beautiful ride today. Hope you get to do some snow mobile riding before long, hope to see some footage of that run too. You all be safe and have lots of fun around there. Fred. 👏🏻👏🏻👍👍
Morning Fred! It sure felt good to finally see a decent snowfall for sure. I enjoyed the ride and the views - let's hope we get some more. Have a great week my friend!
Good to see you back having fun GP. Looks like the 11" of wet snow gave that 2610 a workout. Do you often get foot drops of snow in one day? How was the ride in on that unplowed road :-)}. Fun too I bet. Tractor therapy is the best kind of therapy. Peace and quiet in beautiful surrounding, and all in a tee-shirt. Life is good !! Keep well.
Hey good evening Paul. Great question - not often in the last few winters but in the past , it was pretty common - we would get a lot more snow through the winter. The cab - pretty awesome. Thanks for tuning in - have a great weekend and all the best to you!
Heyhey Gord, I am still waiting for it to snow again here. It hasn't snow here in a month and a half. We were supposed to get some but it didn't happen. Take care.
We had a special weather statement issued for our area on Friday to expect 15-20 cms of snow. So I thought Oh boy some tractor seat time this weekend. But as usual they were wrong and we got about 1 cm. Great for travelling but bad for tractoring. I'll just have to watch your video and live through you. Nice scenery GP . Very calming and relaxing. Cheers :)
Oh man, that is disappointing for sure. You get all excited and then the forecast changes and nothing shows up. LOL. Drives me nuts sometimes. Hopefully you will get a good snowfall soon Mr. G!
@@GPOutdoors It happened !! No weather statement yesterday but we got about 20 cms of light snow Sunday. It's more than we've had all winter. Now I know the excitement kids experience when school is cancelled for weather. Off to play in the white stuff. Cheers.
Glad the new bigger blower worked out (was originally concerned it bogged down the engine a bit) Bet the cab was more comfortable for snow clearing than the open station! BTW -thanks for the ISO-Tunes update...
Good morning Frank! Me too, but I need to keep a closer eye on the RPMs- those Isotunes are working well for me - they do a good job of reducing the sound (as they should) but I kept finding that because the engine noise is reduced so much, I was not noticing when the rpm would drop under load so took me a bit to realize and then reduce my speed to get the RPMs back up. LOL. Cheers!
GP-thank you for the update on the ISO Tunes. I have narrowed the search down to these and the Elgin Ruckus. For looks I like ISO Tunes. Price goes to Elgin. Just need more reviews on the Elgin.
Morning Matt! I have never tried the Elgins but not sure my ears would work well with the flanged silicon type buds, and I may be wrong, but it does not look like the buds are replaceable(?). If you end up trying them out, let me know how it goes. Cheers!
LOL! I'll bet if there is no snow, there is probably some things you need to move around or brush you need to clean up on the property somewhere. Or perhaps time for a little maintenance- greasing and checking the torque on those wheel nuts and loader arm bolts...:))
Just another top notch production. I was waiting for the conversation on the new units extra width. It really is just night and day. Have a wonderful week. Well done again.
Loved the opening edit! That quick insert of "it snowed!"....joyous!!! As a 6'4" kid myself when it snows, you hit me right where I live!!! Thanks. :-)
More practice at aiming the stream of snow to rattle the snow off of the low hanging branches. I use pledge spray wax on my walker and small plow, it seems to help with the snow sticking inside and on the outside. Thanks for the video.
Hey Gord , the tractor is doing a great job. I am waiting for delivery of my LX2610SU. I traded in my bigger more powerful tractor with the dpf system. I realized I didn’t need the extra power and the dpf is really annoying. Because I refuse to “run the tractor like you stole it “ as the dealer told me to , it was doing a regen every 8-10 hrs. I’m very excited about my new tractor. Thanks for the great videos.👍
Hello Gord. Boy you southerners sure got alot of snow. Up here in the nort I plowed 3" this week for the first time in 3 weeks. Have a good week. Alain
Keep these coming I am learning a lot from your experience I am just now purchasing my first compact tractor I had chosen a Kioti as apposed to Kabota mainly due the proximity to the dealer, they seem like very comparable tractors. I was buying the open tractor but after seeing you in a tee shirt in the comfort of a cab in the middle of winter I switched my order to the cab version which included a bunch of other bells and whistles beyond just the cab, like you I was looking to purchase the 25 hp version of the diesel to keep away from the DPS but after hearing your little engine pull right down in the heavy snow I inquired what the cost difference was to go to the 35 hp version In the case of Kioti it was about $3,000 for a 40 percent increase in power which seems like a bargain relative to the cost of the 25 hp tractor (less than 10 percent). Although watching your channel has cost me a lot of money I think I am a better informed consumer
LOL! There's lots of money to spend for sure, Rod. Congrats on the new tractor. Great decision to go with a dealer that is close to you and that you are comfortable with. Good luck and let me know how it goes! Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors I very much liked the front mounted blower on your machine but have to admit to sticker shock when I inquired as to the price as I was not keen to drive backwards to blow snow And I had already broke the piggy bank on purchasing the higher hp I settled on an inverted snow blower I also included the Woodlands chipper pallet forks and a root grapple My toy chest is just about full and I look forward to the spring delivery Thanks again for all your virtual assistance
Please, fire up the Snowmobile with the GoPro and take us all for a ride. Love to see the Snowy Trail System in Canada. Thanks for the great videos Keep up the Good Work :-)
Considering the amount of snow you get in your area, you may want to think on raising your gate by 1 foot & half. It would sure make it easier to open after a storm.
I'm impressed with the traction you have in 2WD. Pretty neat how you adjust the discharge, on the fly, to knock down low hanging snow from the trees. Will be interesting to view the performance of the tractor when you have a foot of wet/heavy snow. I'm a John Deere guy, but man is that orange color pretty with all the white snow pack. Stay safe. Steve from Minnesota
Although I have twice the tractor, I am envious of the front snowblower and the cab. Mostly of the cab, another great demo of the equipment doing real work, cheers from Minnesota!
Beautiful views today GP. Here in Southern Ohio we haven't had any significant snowfall this year. A couple that just covered the ground but nothing that has caused road issues at all and the pattern looks the same on the long range forecast. We might get some of those sneaky Mid march dumps that happen every now and then. So I guess we will have to just enjoy your weather. Cheers
Good day Roy! It felt great to finally get a good deep snowfall. Makes everything look new again. Been an odd winter again this year. Stay safe and warm - Cheers!
This may sound crazy but I'm sort of jealous of all that snow...lol...we've hardly had any down here. That wide blower sure gets it done and really throws the snow. I may have to add one to my 'wish' list...haha. 😀👍🍻

LOL! I'll bet if there is no snow, there is probably some things you need to move around or brush you need to clean up on the property somewhere. Or perhaps time for a little maintenance- greasing and checking the torque on those wheel nuts and loader arm bolts...:))
Making me jealous. I've been out on my tractor plowing snow for like 20 minutes total so far this winter
Same here. Finally got one and we got about 3 inches this year so far......
That was fun to watch. Jealous of all the snow!
Just another top notch production. I was waiting for the conversation on the new units extra width. It really is just night and day. Have a wonderful week. Well done again.
Thanks very much Hughie! You too, sir!
Loved the opening edit! That quick insert of "it snowed!"....joyous!!! As a 6'4" kid myself when it snows, you hit me right where I live!!! Thanks. :-)
LOL! There's something about a fresh deep snowfall. :)) Cheers!
More practice at aiming the stream of snow to rattle the snow off of the low hanging branches. I use pledge spray wax on my walker and small plow, it seems to help with the snow sticking inside and on the outside. Thanks for the video.
LOL! Yup, I was a little erratic there and kept missing. :)) Have a good one Charles!
That's great - congratulations John! I hope you enjoy it. Cheers and good luck!
Hello Gord.
Boy you southerners sure got alot of snow. Up here in the nort I plowed 3" this week for the first time in 3 weeks.
Have a good week.
Alain
Morning Alain. It has been pretty sparse out here for sure. Hoping to get some more!
Thanks for the great videos Keep up the Good Work :-)
LOL! Cheers Bruce!
Really like your entrance sign, it makes your gate standout. also its a fuel gauge not a gas gauge.
:)) Thanks !
Southern New Brunswick,,, bout 4 inches.I wish it was more.Nice video by the way.
Excellent video GP, I hope we get some more snow like that. I have to get the 2650 out for some more snow blowing.
Шикарный аппарат!
Like nails on a chalkboard to see somebody drove over the snow before you could clear it, haha!
LOL! Take care Joel!
Not much snow here in north idaho. Knocking the snow off branches kinda feels like a video game.
LOlL It does for sure Jeremiah. :))
Considering the amount of snow you get in your area, you may want to think on raising your gate by 1 foot & half. It would sure make it easier to open after a storm.
Yup, I think I should have placed it a little higher. I only took it up 10 ", I believe, but I think you are right. Thanks Denis!
Now you're getting snow and I'm not. Hope we get some more soon. We are down about 4 feet from normal. Cheers.
LOL! Well hey, we have to share Mark! :)) Cheers!
@@GPOutdoors We are getting more this week. Thanks for sending it!
Two passes is nice! That 64" in. makes a real difference! Well, you are really getting to test the blower now GP! lol See ya in the next one!
LOL. Morning LA! It was nice to finally get a good decent snowfall up here. Hope you folks are keeping safe and well. Cheers!
Morning and thanks Steve! Those chains make a big difference for sure. That will be a great test for it - Thanks for tuning in and all the best!
Although I have twice the tractor, I am envious of the front snowblower and the cab. Mostly of the cab, another great demo of the equipment doing real work, cheers from Minnesota!
Thanks 👍Mike! Cheers to you!
LOL! Morning Dan! It finally showed up. Geez, it's almost spring. :)) Have a great weekend!
