    First time poster long time watcher. Love watching all your videos GP. From back in the day with motion sickness and audio from two tin cans tied with a string to professional camera gear with multiple angles and top notch audio. I just recently found a great deal on the exact same blower that you have (used only one season) for my LX3310. A purchase we needed for the future on our land in Eagle River Wisconsin. I have watched and rewatched your videos with excellent instructions on installing and uninstalling the blower. Great job as always! Also love the videos with your neighbor guy. He is one of the few left out there that knows a ton about just about anything. Great to learn from. Hope all is well and Thank you for one day deciding to dedicate time into the you tube world!

    It's sad that at 72 I can easily afford to put a front snowblower on my Kubota but what's holding me back is my driveway is only about 120 feet long and as I have a rear blade a bucket and I also built my own snow pusher do I really have a need for one. It would be nice to see that new snow fly 30 feet off the drive but time will tell. I couldn't imagine doing your driveway or is it a back road without the equipment you have. I suppose if I was to get a snowblower I would definitely need that heated cab to keep that freezing snow off the face. This was a good video to watch.

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Hey good morning. It's a long one for sure but much more enjoyable now with heat. But I would probably do the same as you if the driveway was much shorter. Thanks for tuning in !

      @SeanONeill13 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The problem with a blade or pusher, is that you need to push that snow somewhere. A blower provides more options. I have both, front blower, rear blade, and usually push or pull the snow to the driveway end, turn around and chuck that snow into the ditches. I live on a street with many retirees (Orillia area), and end up doing 9 or so driveways, so the blower really comes in handy. Party on.

      I'm using a cab'ed 1981 Case, before that I was using a ferguson open cab, both with inverted rear blowers, both RWD. I've also used walk behind blowers for years, and a friend has a frontloader with separate front snowblower (with it's own engine) for heavy duty snow removal.
      With a front mounted blower you always start blowing from whichever end of your driveway that doesn't have wind blowing in your face, never point the nozzle against the wind, that's ASKING for discomfort.
      I do my best to keep moisture away from the tractor before I park it (it could freeze and render it dysfunctional, I've had hydraulic steering freeze, PTO clutch lever freeze, etc, because of just ONE speck of moisture), it's a bit of a challenge in itself making sure none the snow that get's thrown out drifts back onto the tractor 😁

    • @kagnewmp12
      @kagnewmp12 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ Missed a trip to Norway when I was stationed in Germany for 4 years back in the late 70s. I know all about walk behind blowers and the wind and turning the blower shoot away from the wind just to have the wind switch and it's in your face again. I went out and bought a plastic snow windshield and after that I didn't care about the wind or snow blowing back on me. I retired in 2019 and said I would never use a walk behind blower again so I bought the new Kubota. I have ample room to push any amount of snow away so big piles getting bigger is not a problem. The one real lucky thing I have is that my shop is heated so whatever snow gets on my tractor is melted off and my Tractor has never spent the night outside.

    Great to see you and Guy out playing with your snow toys, Gord! I’ve been watching the streamers on radar off Georgian Bay/Lake Huron for the last couple of weeks, hoping some would stretch to eastern Ontario, but no such luck. We had about 25 cam of snow on the ground before Christmas, but it all melted in that crazy 5 day meltdown/rain in late December. We’ve picked up maybe 6-8 cm over the last few days, but nowhere near enough to dust off the sled. There’s snow and the riding is good down in the Tug Hill area of upstate NY, but I was almost killed down there by out-of-control (and/or drunk) other riders on two separate occasions when I rode there 30+ years ago, and I swore I’d never go back. From what I’ve seen on the forums, it hasn’t changed much - many still ride bar to bar and there’s already been a fatality down there this year. I’ll stick to Ontario (maybe up your way!) and perhaps even venture a trip to Quebec this season.
    Wishing you, family, and friends the very best for 2025!

    Good evening Gord from snowmaggedon SSMarie. The snow just hasn’t stopped. One of the snow clearing companies in the city said we are around 300cm of snow to date! My BX2380 is getting a workout this winter. Lately we are getting 2” to death. I shovelled the driveway twice today and it’s covered again. Lake Superior is handing us a whack of lake effect snow. Our first dump in November was 36”-40” overnight! Then it kept coming for a week. They are calling for snow all week with no let up. You’d have a blast with your tractor here probably make a tidy profit doing driveways. Glad to see a new video from you take care.

    Thanks for another great snow blowing video!
    Unfortunately in Northern Wisconsin we are still lacking snow. The sled trails are still closed. It's really discouraging as they never opened last year. Businesses are really hurting for customers.
    Hopefully we still might have some good snows as I really itching for some trail riding.
    It looks like Sandy from "Sawing with Sandy" is hording all the snow! LOL

    GP quick question for ya. I don’t know what kind of gate you have. But I have a regular ranch style or cattle style gate on the driveway to my cabin. I make monthly visits to do regular maintenance and such during the winter and just plain enjoy the season. My problem is that we will get 12-24” of snow that freezes on the gate and when I visit I’m have to spend at least an hour in the dark and cold shoveling and ice breaking the gate free. Do you have any ideas to help make that easier? Thanks GP!

    • @GPOutdoors
      @GPOutdoors  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      LOL. that brings back memories. I can't picture the style of gate exactly but I had two big issues - the lock freezes during the winter ( I have spent alot of money on different "winter" rated locks over the years and they all freeze )- so I carry a propane torch in my truck all winter. The other was your issue. The gate I installed, I made sure to install 10 inches above the ground ( I wish I had raised it a few more inches). I very seldom have to dig to it free since. Not sure if that helps you but I certainly remember those times - and it was always freezing cold when I would be out there fighting with it. LOL. Good luck and hope you figure it out. Cheers!

    • @GPOutdoors

      It certainly is. So, my own thoughts. If your driveway is short, then save the money and get a rear mount blower. If it is long like mine then remember, that these attachments will outlive you. Maintain them well and your kids will inherit them in great working condition. I wish I could give you better advice bit hope this has helped a little. Cheers!
