@@kongthao9935 Can't imagine how it would look from 1st person view when you're grazing. Heck, can we add another funtionality where the VR equipments become hotter when you graze?
Nuclear weaponry, multidimensional manipulation, ki auras, divine invocations... But by the end of the day it always comes down to the shrine maiden and her fists.
Blame the "silly" spellcard battle rules that ensure that everyone is at a roughly equal level in battle. Because if they weren't restricted... - Reimu can channel the power of the Gods. - Utsuho can create a replica of the Sun anywhere. - Remilia can manipulate fate. "You will not win". - Flandre can destroy ANYTHING (a meteorite was "child's play" for her, in canon). - Yuyuko manipulates death, and invites it upon you. - Yukari. Just Yukari, really...
Still by far one of the best fight videos ever, and probably one of the best adaptations of the actual bullet patterns of the games into a cinematic setting. Ah the memories, so hype. :3
stupidly, insanely AWESOME! It was like the old days when i used to watch DBZ... only this was THZ! KamiNekoYu, everything on your channel is so great! I love it! :)
And holy crap, I had never actually expected to hear Flames Within These Black Feathers on an English TH-cam video like this. That earned you a favorite, thumps up and subscribe.
Spellcards are used in the fighting games, but in all cases they take magical power to use. It's sort of like in the shooters where the protagonist only gets to use spellcards as bombs, a character has to build momentum/magic energy/whatever in order to get her spellcard to work. Accordingly, Fantasy Heaven is technically unbeatable, but in the fighting games, Reimu has to power up in order to activate it, giving her opponent a chance to counter.
becausu that fire crates smoke and cloth over your face helps to filter it and makes it easier to breathe. just one of the many uses of towels and other fabric scraps. you learn something every day.
Reimu has the power of ultimate flight, meaning she can fly outside of reality if she really wanted to. This makes her impossible to beat by anyone except maybe Yukari.
Spellcards are in fact used in the fighting games; the most likely explanation is a gameplay metaphor. And while it's true that killing Reimu would be bad for Gensokyo, you have to consider things like Fantasy Heaven, which would be utterly impossible to defeat if it weren't for the time limit imposed on it by the spellcard rules. The spellcard rules make sure everyone has a chance of winning.
And surprisingly, Marisa is just sufficiently good that she actually stands a chance against them. Being the only only without any inherent speciel power, she should really be far more disadvantaged than she actually is, yet she could probably still kick a Super Saying 8ish fusion thing from Dragonball.
Utsuho, Okuu, Reiju is so powerful she can kill you in 16 seconds. She's so powerful she can create a sun. But, that isn't enough. So she makes another sun, and throws it at you! NUCLEAR FUSION POWER!
The REAL reason KamiNekoYu's original account was deleted? The sheer amount of unfiltered awesome from the original upload of Dogfight V2.2 cause TH-cam's servers to malfunction, and the entire account was removed just so the server could be modified to handle an awesome video of this caliber. And they STILL aren't sure if the website is ready to handle this kind of awesome.
You are forgetting the difference between them - Danmaku is still based on a system you can get better at, and Marisa is a teenaged girl, against demons who are several hundred of years old. She may like stealing stuff, but damn if she isn't the one who works the hardest in the entire Touhou-verse. Restained or not, considering this is how people fight in Gensokyo, you'd think a several hundred years old demon would be stronger than a young girl.
Holy. Crap. I was waiting to see the end of this. Satori appeared! Yay! But damn, that was one hell of a fight. Very much like the actual game. Ah, time to watch it AGAIN.
@oogabooga341 Are you saying that in order to vote "Dislike" on good Touhou videos, a person would have to face a Lunatic-level danmaku and win? ...Now that...is a pretty good idea. 0.0 ...Oh, yeah, and this video FREAKING ROCKS.
that was.....fucking amazing.....okay this is dragon ball on steroids just when we thought dragon ball couldn't get any more buff, then there was touhou, this is definitely over 9000
Also can anyone give me the name of the music from 4:24 to 6:51? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I love the warning sirens on it, makes a great wake up alarm.
Even more awesome with the added SFX. Liked and Fav'd. Any chance you (or anyone) could re-upload the download version elsewhere? Like to Mediafire or something? The link in the description just gives me a 404 error :(
I eagerly await the time when something, anything can top this in terms of sheer entertainment value. I don't think that will happen for a very long time though lol. How would a 3D touhou game similar this work anyway? Is it even possible to pack the controls of something like this onto a controller or keyboard?
This is easily the most epic thing i've watched since dead fantasy O.O also, were there ever voices in it, and is there a place i can find the video with them if so?
About those Spellcards battles, those rules have been made by Reimu, right ? So, what's about it ? She'd just use her "Never seen ultimate Youkai Killing Hakurei divine hacked powers" if some freak would try to break her rules ? What about really OP Youkais like Yukari or immortal folks like Mokou ?
To be fair, in this particular fight, Reimu thoroughly abuses the fact that she is A LOT faster. Against her ultimate, yeah, that's pure skill, or luck, depending on how much credit you give her. But seriously, her ultimate attacks are foiled again and again by the fact that Reimu is practically impossible to hit. Sheer power is useless against someone you can't hit, as Utsuho unfortunatly experienced.
I have to say that this video just sounds more epic than MinusT's despite the less detailed character models. It's like I'm watching an anime when seeing this. Still like both.
I watched this first over MinusT's, so while I was hyped for his version of this battle, I find his version to be... lacking over this one. It lacked the feeling of tension and intensity of the fight, probably because there's no fist fight and lack of injuries there, and as much as I like it, it was more of awe at the attention to detail in his work than the feel of the battle, which looks like a typical danmaku spar for me tbh, unlike this one's sense of urgency and intense battles (probably because it's Marisa or same reason as you, idk), especially during the fist fight scene and last battle. It doesn't help that I don't really click with his BGM of choice when I first heard it. I still like it regardless, though if I have to choose one, I'd pick this one over his due to reasons above. Oh, and this version's control rod too. Can't forget the awesome control rod Utsuho has in this one.
+Vanko Ivelinov In this game you the characters partner up with each other, kind of like Imperishable Night. Only instead of having a secondary fire option, the pairings give you different abilities. For example, I believe Marisa can pair up with Nitori, allowing you the option to change the spread in which your bullets fire. When Reimu pairs up with Yukari, she gains the ability to warp from one end of the screen to the other. Its never stated, but its implied you're using Yukari's portals to warp.
Yeah well... considering their real "powers" is never really used in these battles, one can only assume that world destruction would ensue if they DID go all out. This is just for fun. Really.
Again, spellcard battle rules are in place. The really OP people (and everyone else) aren't allowed to use their true strength and skills in battle, instead being limited to danmaku and spellcards. As powerful as Marisa's mini-hakkero is, she'd never win against most "unrestrained" youkai, in a real battle to the death. Yeah, I hate to admit this as much as the next guy, but it's the truth...
And this, ladies and gentlemen, demonstrates why the Touhou games are in two dimensions.
B-But Touhou games in 3d would be awesome and if you could fight like this WHY WHY D:
Because they'd be SO DAMN HARD TO CONTROL. You think dodging all that is hard in 2D? Add a third dimension.
SIX DEGREES OF MOVEMENT.
Save it for vr. That's where these battles will shine best.
@@kongthao9935 Can't imagine how it would look from 1st person view when you're grazing. Heck, can we add another funtionality where the VR equipments become hotter when you graze?

Just when I thought that Utsuho couldn't get more epic... This happens. 12/10
Well-done, cleanly-animate, has excellent attention to detail, and the fight is synced with the music well. 11/10, my friends.
cute pic btw !!!
IIRC this is a representation of Lunatic Mode, the hardest of the playable touhou difficulty settings.
Blame the "silly" spellcard battle rules that ensure that everyone is at a roughly equal level in battle. Because if they weren't restricted...

This still blows my mind a year later.
The entire damn thing was done using MIKUMIKU DANCE!
Still by far one of the best fight videos ever, and probably one of the best adaptations of the actual bullet patterns of the games into a cinematic setting. Ah the memories, so hype. :3
Man without Yukari she would have died like four times.

Congratulations. You have cleared Easy Mode.
Im insanely late but

Yeah, but his stuff just isn't as good as this.
A Masterpiece. Simply a Masterpiece. How can anyone deny this?

It's not the spellcard system, it's the rules of Danmaku itself that make it possible for anyone to defeat anyone.
If they really went all out, we'd have some pretty mind bending battles. Komachi, Yukari, Yuyuko, and Remilia all have some pretty insane powers.
7:42 Epicness in one frame!!!
10:29 ZAS!! en toda la cara!!!
This...ho my god...this is...no, there are absolutely NO words I can say. I cannot describe how amazing this is...
It's like a game really, like deciding things in a game of poker.... except it's a kind of fight.
Utsuho, Okuu, Reiju is so powerful she can kill you in 16 seconds. She's so powerful she can create a sun. But, that isn't enough. So she makes another sun, and throws it at you! NUCLEAR FUSION POWER!
@GuppyForce
In the game, she does complain about "turning into a fried shrine maiden".
Blame Yukari for sending her to hell during the wintertime.
It's a good thing battles in Gensokyo are settled in the air. Otherwise, there might not be much left.

if you liked check "touhou 3d" on youtube, the first video is a big fight between Marisa and FLandre, truly spectacular :D

Can't help but notice that this was uploaded on my birthday.
That's pretty hardcore.
Now all we need is voices. Good voices.

@Archimonde259 Thanks, I got a new alarm to wake up to now.

the video actually makes much more sense after seeing the Touhou fighting games
holy shit so much detail, that's why Touhou fanbase is the best!!
This video is SOOO awesome!
It's made of win and Touhou.
I can almost hear the raven scream: STOP CALLING ME MEGAMAN!
If only we can hear both of them vocally...Then this'll be perfect...
懐かしいなぁ
that was.....fucking amazing.....okay this is dragon ball on steroids just when we thought dragon ball couldn't get any more buff, then there was touhou, this is definitely over 9000

the spellcard system made possible to defeat peoplelike reimu yukari, shiki ect, even cirno could beat reimu
Also can anyone give me the name of the music from 4:24 to 6:51? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I love the warning sirens on it, makes a great wake up alarm.

AMAZING

7:40 FALCON PAWNCH

Why the hell is Reimu wearing a scarf while dodging flaming hot suns?
