I just think the reason why is because genocide being on high alert during the fight was already ready when he fell so he immediately reacted while neutral was just casually lazing around so this unexpected moment led him to falling face flat as he wasn’t in a dire situation

I think Pacifist Timeline did get what was going on quickly too, but instead went into a state of denial, not wanting to really fight. And even after he accepts what he gotta do, he still seems to be in a little, little bit of denial. Also, poor Pacifist Timeline Sans. Genocide got it pretty badly too, though. Pacifist Timeline had his world left in ruins, got dragged into the battle randomly, forced to fight a kid he saw as good, and was experiencing the consenquences of the aftermath, *all alone.* Amazing. Great sprites, dialogue, animations, and everything else. Great job to you, and everyone else who contributed to this!
For those who wondering why does frisk's name is constantly changing from chara, frisk to player, this is just my theory but i think the triple sans see frisk differently, neutral see frisk as frisk, genocide see frisk as player (based of the canon i think?
