That truck is gorgeous man, Finding one with a zf6 is quite rare. Ive been looking for those rims for my Ram forever. I have a cm unskirted flatbed on mine and added 2 36 inch boxes to it, my only complaint is the bottom isnt painted or coated so even in my climate its starting to surface rust real bad.
Yoo dude. Yes would love to see the Eaton fuller swap. I dig your truck and all you’ve done to it. I am currently about to swap my 06 ram common rail to that exact Eaton fuller. Using the divorced kit for the 271s transfers case. Iv already picked up the flywheel housing for it. I finally found one with a driver side started and I am looking for to source the transmission atm. Haven’t got any local leads for one here on the west coast yet.
Did not have to move crossmember but had to drill two new holes where transmission mount bolts to crossmember. Front driveshaft no, rear yes. I shortened it before the carrier bearing.
Just wondering if you had to change gear ratio for highway speed. I have a 450 i have been thinking about putting a 12v in but I am afraid i would have to replace my 4.56 gears to get highway speed.
No I didn't, but im running 4.10's and its sweet spot is 65mph. it starts revving the engine higher than I really want after that speed, though I have done 80mph with no issues.
Yes it is. I have had zero issues with it so far. Sure a new fancy razzu one would be nice, but in reality I do feel this is adequate. Any issues I have had have more to with drivetrain (Think drivelines, u joints, clutch, etc ) than anything engine related.
I have a 1994 school bus with a 12v that I’m going to put in a 1993 idi f-450 4x4 c&c zf5 trans , i have been told that I might need to move the trans back 2 Inches or move the radiator forward 2 inches, which would be the easiest to do ?
I believe it was right around $4000 for the engine and swap parts combined. Now, that is including the price I paid for the engine and the swap components. However, I believe I have close to $8000 in go fast parts and accessories just on the engine alone, not counting some other stuff I did to the truck.
Yes I wood like to see that transmission swap
27:25 some guys will tell me im washed up lmao. Great swap great video buddy. A real world review
Thank you and thanks for watching!

Thanks! Yes, the zf6 is a rare breed nowadays. Yep, this bradford bed has the same problem, rust everywhere underneath.
That was alot of uhhms 🥰
Lol

What has your fuel economy been with this truck since the swap? Unloaded vs towing?
I don't know you're still active in the comments but did you have to move the transmission cross member or have the driveshaft shortened?

I did a 12 valve swap on my 2008 super duty and had to shift the transmission back and shorten the rear driveline by 2 inches..
Can you do a video on the wiring for the swap to make your dash gauges work
I will see what I can do next time I have to work on the dash of the truck. I'll see if I can show you what I did.
It’s fairly easy, retain your original engine sensors and pig tails and use reducers or couplers to fit them in your 12valve.

Is that a factory Ford 7.3L aluminum intercooler? Do you find it adequate for your setup?
Yes it is. I have had zero issues with it so far. Sure a new fancy razzu one would be nice, but in reality I do feel this is adequate. Any issues I have had have more to with drivetrain (Think drivelines, u joints, clutch, etc ) than anything engine related.

to move your trans back
I would move your transmission back, way easier to do
What are all the switches on the dash to the right of the steering wheel?
Holy ummmmmm
Just roughly, how much do you think you spent in the engine swap itself ?
