Daddy’s money
Sounds like jealousy

The honesty helped me out a lot got a 93 7.3 thanks🤙🏼
Love the build man! Thanks for explaining everything in great detail. I was wondering what radiator you were using? I’m doing a Cummins swap on a 1987 F-250 and I’m not sure if I should use one from a 6.9 or a newer power stroke. Thanks Vito.
Cool build, one day I'll attempt a cummins swap! I like wrenching but it's amazing to see people do transplants like this. Sure is something to be proud about!
Have a similar truck that I just put a 24 valve Cummins in, only a few more items to check off my list like power steering the front drive shaft and the transfer case shifter any suggestions
have a 5.9 out a 97 dodge that Was put in a 2009 f550. It’s eating up belts plus the belt is super tight I mean I never had a serpentine belt that is this tight. The accessories are from the f550. But the belt is design for a 97 Cummins. Im thinking I need to go smaller on a pulley and help will be greatly appreciated.
@Mark Loper thanx I got it figured out. It’s wasn’t the belt it was the way dodge was saying to put it on. I put it on my way not using the diagram and it’s ok now.
Do you have any thoughts or experience with a bullnose like ‘86 Ford swap out the 6.9 and install 5.9?
Oldest ford I’ve swapped is a 94 but they are very similar. Should be a straight forward swap
Are 12v still good? Because i found one out of a dump truck with 65k miles for $1100 with allison trans
No their crap I’ll give you 1200.
That’s a fucking steal bruh low ass miles
What paint code for the new color? Looks great!
You need to change out the cruise control sensor on the master cylinder. That's the stock one. Burns the truck down
I think its already had the recall done but i will look into it, Thanks for potentialy saving my truck!
@@dirtydiamonddiesel5901 no problem
Nice build. What u do with the 7.3?
would this also work on a f350 with a 351? previous owner blew the powerstroke and swapped in a 351w
Brandon Canfield yes
Sure with $7000
Power steeting lines?
I'm probably gonna do a automatic 06 F250 swap Really good running 6.0 But I want to do some heavy hauling and to rebuild that engine would probably cost as much as a swap Because to do it right with a 6.0 you're probably gonna need a new heads that's not cheap alone
Magna Carta Sam Adam's roughly 5k to do a 6.0 right
You got a nice truck but that 6.0 is a shitty engine. Cummins swap is a good idea
Can you do a video on the wiring you had to do
Hell ya keep up the good work 👌🏻
What made you want the 24v head over the 12v head? That's a lot of extra work and money swapping the cam, buying fuel lines and a donor engine. Was it for a deeper sound and more air flow to stomp on? I understand the p pump because who wants the vp44.
More valves=more better
How did you do the coolant bypass for $40?
I have a 01 ford econoline with the v10 6.8, can I swap it for a 12 valves cummins?
Nice build. I have a '97 that I tow with and have the Cummins engine to go into it.
me to
What block number is that 24v?
I have a 95 RCLB with 71k original miles and the only rust on the whole truck was the core support...replace it and powder coat it.
What do you think about the p.pump yo 24 valve R.E. the power thks
Probably only made 3-350
@@dirtydiamonddiesel5901 thka
@@dirtydiamonddiesel5901 that be around 450 or 500 tauk
Wire harness computer etc.. you didnt describe
Only wiring required in my scenario was is a shut off selnoid. A voltage regulator so the alternator didn’t over charge and a stand-alone transmission controller from firepunk.
How good did the nv4500 perform in it
It wasnt bad, to be honest its not as comfortable as in a dodge. The hydraulics are always a little funky and the pedal disengages really high off the floor.
Dirty Diamond Diesel I’m wanting to do a 12v swap on my 95 you think the zf5 will hold up to it
Yes a zf will for sure hold they all break at a certain point but it will be a lot easier to swap
Gotta put the dodge piston in the ford clutch master
I have a 2500 dodge with a bad 5.7 hemi and bad transmission. How hard is it to switch to Cummins 12v
Really hard.
Figured this might work for a 91 idi gunna start getting parts together
I’ve been lookin around tryin to find out how much it would cost. I got a 91 idi f250 and I’m wantin to do this swap but I’m just having trouble figuring out how I’m gonna do it.
New sub here thays a nice truck and even nicer when you can say you built it yourself keep up the videos brother
on my wifes acct. what did you do on the power steering system?
Factory lines hook right up
I don't recall anyone referring to the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, etc Ford heavy trucks that had optional Cummins engines in them, "fummins" this is a recent slang I guess?
How much you want for it
How about a 351 platform
If i did a gas platform it would be a 460 but probably in an offroad application, maybe one day!
Was this an old gaser or was this the 7.3 before the swap
I can't believe how cheap everything is. Where i live it's $10k for an engine and about $20-$40k for the truck and a conversion would set you back $20k+
Where do you live???
@@kyleranderson1948 Australia, my 85 f150 with 220000 miles cost me $20k and thats not restored but good condition
@@dranthappens yeah jeez, I bought a 95 7.3 f250 for $800 here in the states, it was in driving condition a little rusty but still not near the amount of your 85.
@@kyleranderson1948 and a brand new f250 costs around $160k
What's the mpg like 7.3pw vs 5.9
I dig it
6:42 lol
Looks like you better spray some waste oil on that frame , inner rockers etc ...
I seen that on marketplace the other day lol
On those years the power stroke wasn't that bad, but the cummins is way better
Get some real tires on that 4x4 ...nice build but WTF is with the drag slicks on a 4x4
Your swap only cost you $6790? Damn.
So what was the total cost i didant watch the video
Watch it then lol
Oi. You stole Taylor Ray's name for his truck, Piss off with that.
What? haha
