Very true! If there’s one thing Topps gave us in 2018, it’s lots of Ohtani options. Horizontal, Vertical, pitching, hitting - something for everybody. These are our choices, but I’d love to hear which ones you prefer. Thanks for watching!
How's it going guys... New Subscriber, great video & I gotta ask, who do you recommend to make purchases for Ohtani's. As in App's or any businesses with reasonable prices. I'm a big collector but don't know much about computers and where to look for these cards at and so far it's just eBay & maybe Mercari. Because this prices that you're mentioning are great and incredible reasonable prices. One of the cards you mentioned for about $100 I usually find for about $300-400. According to eBay's records I found out about a year ago I was the second biggest fire they had and I was only buying Ohtani's. I should have about 1300 different Ohtani's not counting counting duplicates. Just trying to keep up with the new ones still looking for some ssp's. Is there a list of every Sp & Ssp's Ohtani's ever made? Everytime I look online everybody has SSP in front of the card they're trying to sell. I know everyone's trying to make a buck but I just need the facts so I know what to look for or if I already have it
@@thevault2317 That time has come and gone. Best luck is to wait for the offseason to see where prices settle. However, I feel like Shohei has convinced the market he is here to stay... if he stays healthy.
Yeah! Hadn't really considered that one until talking about it in this week's Blabbin' Live - cool image! And like you said, print run isn't all that high. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! The heritage red ink autos are sweet cards and Ohtani’s just JUUUUST missed the cut. A hear from now, we may wish we included it. Sometimes a top 5 list just isn’t enough.
It was just outside the top 5! Thanks for watching. It’s tonight to narrow it down, especially for a guy like Ohtani who’s incredible and has so many rookies. We decided to go with the Sapphire Auto instead because it has that hitting image.
Hello 👋 Again Learned a lot as I said . 🙏 I have been targeting all Rookies, cheaper like PSA 10 pitching chrome refractor & PSA 10 Chrome batting from 2018 But I just bought that 2019 batting gold Topps Chrome refractor numbered to 50 with the Rookie cup in PSA 10 . I paid 900 dollars I hope that’s not too much ? Bought the base chrome refractor same for 60 dollars & the pink & sepia each 50 dollars in PSA 10 just for fun Look 👀 forward to your future videos
The series 2 #700 rainbow foil parallel had the same pack odds as the gold in all formats, so you can assume a similiar print run of 2,018 cards. Pop counts on PSA are also REALLY similiar.
I got a good number of ohtani paper 2019 gold cups from the holiday and series sets, 2 at bat and 2 pitching for cheap when Ohtani was in his slump in 2020ish for like a dollar. I am a big collector and believer in the gold cup cards as affordable but valuable alternatives to his main rcs. My brother sold me his gold cup chrome refractor for 50 cents lol, he is still kicking himself for that one. I tried to tell everyone the gold cups are where its at when all the rcs have priced the lower income folks out!
Good video guys, nice touch with the PSA pop counts. You're leaving out his 2013 Japanese Rookie cards. His 2013 BBM 1st Version #183 and it's parallels and promos are the Flagship series of his Japanese Rookie cards. Don't sleep on these. BBM is the Topps of Japan and his Base #183 has a print run of 10,000 or less. Of the 11 parallels & promos of the Flagship #183 series only the #183 has a PSA 10 pop count over 100 at somewhere in the 130s. Purple Wing has a PSA pop count in the 30s, the Pink Wing has a PSA 10 pop count in the 20s and most of the rest are single digit PSA 10 pop counts.
Thanks for info! I don’t know anything about his Japanese cards - at least I didn’t before I read your comment. I wonder how the US hobby will treat his Japanese cards long term. We should probably look more into it. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the info!
Great video and really good information. John, glad you commented on the Japanese rookies. My opinion, Japanese rookies are the best long term investment as time goes by, people will lose track of all of the variations and gravitate to what is most scarce. BBM is the premier manufacturer in Japan, does all of the signings for the players. They’re legit, but very small and prints in small numbers. Think about it, whether you collect baseball cards, rare books, or artwork, you always seek out what is most hard to come by. If you view these rookie cards like a rare painting your mindset and how you view these things long term will change. Hiding in plain sight at the moment.
This is great insight! And a reminder of the place rarity holds in the hobby. Thanks for sharing your perspective. It sounds like if you stick with the 2013 parallels, you should be in good shape long-term. Not sure the demand will surpass that for his scarcer Topps/Bowman versions, but with the BBM parallels in such short supply, it sounds like a worthwhile exploration.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin thanks! Both great options and either way you slice it, a great time in baseball and we’re all lucky to be witness to the special time.
Love the content and suggestions! I'm shopping around for an Ohtani. That Stadium Club SSP is cool and seems really hard to find! The white jersey image is also great - not sure if I can get one under 3K on Ebay. What about the Topps Chrome Update X-Fractor /99? (pitching image) Pop 38 PSA 10? Looks like a really cool card to me. One day I hope to be able to get a 2018 Topps Chrome Gold Auto!
Hey man! The update xfractors are cool, but they definitely lose some appeal when the player has a card in regular Topps Chrome. It’s low numbered, but Ohtani already has a topps chrome card. I’d rather have a blue refractor of the first topps chrome card then an xfractor of the update. Especially since they’re both pitching images!
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin Ohh....ok...I see the blue refractor....nice! Love your advice! You would prefer that even over the Chrome Sapphire rookie? There is also a hitting image of the X-fractor (HMT32). Does that change anything? I'm also possibly working on getting an auto RC, and the most affordable seems like the Bowman's Best regular auto PSA 10. I don't know the print run on that. Good card to target in the 6-7K range?
Oh man, incredible! Congrats on that one. And might want to consider just getting a new slab with no auto grade on there, just the 10 for the card grade.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin yes, bowman chrome blue auto, super fractor auto, dynasty, basically all the high end ones. Invested a lot a few years ago. He had goat potential.
Honorable mention for me is his gold label class 1, prefferably parallels and his bowman sterling continuity. Both cards have an image with him hitting and pitching on the same card which I think is going to hold quite strong in the future.
Thanks for watching! The Bowman Sterling is such a cool card for exactly the reason you said - it has images of both hitting and pitching. Some of the parallels are fantastic cards. And the autos 😍😍😍😍 Great honorable mention!
I know this is 10 months too late but I was able pick up shohei ohtani legends in the making the gold version it has a pop 4 right now I love the card.
Thanks for the question! That is a very cool looking card, and relatively low pop for an insert. The deckle edging is kind of polarizing for collectors -- some love it, some hate it. I would just be careful as the pop starts creeping up, but if it's a card you really enjoy, that's what matters most!
Amazing Ohtani collection! Absolutely beautiful cards - thanks for sharing. Sort of interesting to see how Ohtani has completely taken over the card market. Even with Acuna having a historical year, Luis Robert living up to his potential and older guys like Betts and Freeman doing amazing - seems like their cards aren’t moving much. Guess Acuna is a bit. Seems like if you’re going to buy a card of a modern player - it’s gonna be Ohtani. So much $ chasing one guy. Do you guys have a partnership and joint own these cards? No problem if you don’t want to disclose - just curious because sometimes you say ‘we’ and other times specify which of you owns the card. Thanks again - entertaining content and awesome cards.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment! We hit on a lot of those exact points in tonight's live -- how guys like Acuna still aren't even close to seeing the meteoric rise in prices that Ohtani is. And is it too late to buy him? Still early?? Who knows?! As for our collections, we share a lot of the cards we talk about and show (nearly all our Ohtanis, for instance), but we do have our own separate collections, as well. We like a lot of similar players, but Chris has an Atlanta Braves-centric collection, and a heck of a Devers collection. I have a lot of Trout/Machado/Betts/Soto stuff, and I also collect Giannis Antetokounmpo cards. Again, much appreciate the support and comments!
Regular refractors have more history and frankly, a more clean, classic look. I think prism refractors debuted in 2015, refractors have been around since 1996. When it comes to the non-numbered refractor parallels like prisms, sepia, pink, xfractor - I think it comes down to appearance and weather collectors like how the cards look. Xfactors definitely out in front, but you don't hear many collectors raving about prisms and sepias. Personally, I wouldn't pay any premium for a prism refractor. I'd rather have the regular. I don't think either card will have huge gains ahead of it, because the print runs are not exactly limited, but I like the refractor better. Thanks for watching!
Hi do you also think Topps flag base print run in 2018 was too high? Do you think PSA10 base 700 Ohtani or go for gold parallel still? Thx for answers.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting. While there will seemingly always be demand for even graded base cards of Ohtani, I think the pop count of those is just too high. I think his parallels will always be desirable, and if you can go after a gold, that would be a solid move. Again, his whole market could come crashing down, but it seems like he's shown enough that he seems less risky than most.
Of those two, US1 is a much more important card and more likely to hold value. Still, I would try to stick to parallels (gold /2018, for instance) as there are just so many of the regular base cards printed.
@leshughes6307 He’s got a variation in the regular heritage set that’s a really nice card. Pretty rare. #17. Then he has a base in the high number set. #600, that also has an action variation (pitching). I like the #17 the best of his heritage cards paper cards. The high number refractors (#’ed parallels) are beauties too. He just has so many rookies. Not everything can make the list!
i only have a couple ohtani cards and only his series 2 #700 rookie but i want to get more but now theyve become so expensive. i am just getting any of his cards now. i am located in tokyo so i have access to more npb cards of his at various card shops. i like his 2017 calbee gold script in his japan uniform best.
I have a 2019 Topps Ohtani that has the rookie shield on it. It's a 84 throw back I think. What is going on with this card? Is it desired among collectors
Thanks for watching and commenting! For some reason, Topps put the RC shield on some of his 2019 cards including the throwback you have. It makes an interesting conversation piece, but it is NOT an actual rookie and isn't rare, so doesn't hold much value. Still a cool card though!
i know you said stay away from the pink updates but i somehow got a super good offer on ebay for a pink update psa 10 for only $240. It was 50% off of the original price so i instantly bought it
That sounds like a great deal! Congrats on the pickup -- and any card can be worth grabbing for the right price. It's smart just to know the print runs and the pop reports as a guide when you're looking to buy.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin for sure! i know some collectors are against the pink variations cause of the look i personally think its not too bad and for the price i got it at im more than satisfied
Any Topps Ohtani red refractor #/5 is going to be gold!! Congrats on the sweet card! Value is tough to figure because there are only 4 others - hard to find a comp. Check and see if any Beam Team Gold Ohtani have sold and then assume it’s even more valuable.
We just don't know enough about them to recommend. I know there are some desired ones, but make sure you do your research, because there are a LOT of different ones.
Hey, thanks so much for the question. The #150 Base Refractor? We love the card! Anything above his base card is a great entry point into the graded Ohtani RC market.
Sorry, just seeing this. I think that card is more of a novelty card and might have long term appeal - but a very cool card, and between now and Feb, you can probably get it for a very cheap price!
How do you get these cards before the player is a star? I want to focus on that because I am great at predicting stars, I play Fantasy Baseball. If I knew Ohtani would be a be a star could I have bought his cards cheap in 2018? If so how? I haven’t collected cards since the 1980’s. Are do I buy packs or boxes or can I get particular cards I want before they are stars for a low price?
Excellent question! What you're talking about is called "prospecting" -- and many in the hobby love doing it. Check out eBay for singles of players. Everyone who has had a card made is on there. Some players are more expensive right out of the chute (like Ohtani was) because of high expectations.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin so don’t waste money on cases or boxes? Are those prospect cards worth it, will they be as expensive as rookie cards? If I buy singles do I buy only graded singles? If so how much is it for grading? will that e factored i to the price. If a rookie card is worth $10 out of the box during the season will it sell for $25 if it is graded a 10. which is the best grading system to trust and how do you know it’s a real grade? I guess the trick with only buying rookie cards is buying them at the beginning of the season before the player goes off. But are the good style rookie cards available that early in the season?
Tough to say. Unlicensed cards don't have near the market as licensed ones. But, Ohtani is a true unicorn in the market. His cards don't follow all the market trends, so his Leaf cards likely have and will hold some value. Just how much? Only time will tell. Thanks for the comment!
I hate to give this away as I’ve been grabbing these whenever i can. Here’s the best Ohtani Rookie hitting, less than $100. 2018 Topps Team Set Batting Variation Shohei Ohtani Rookie Card RC #A-17 Angels
I actually think the Cup cards are my favorite !!! I know its a second year but the batting one is dope!! I have a GQ 1-199 ....I never seen another one so Idk what they price 4?
Buying cards is an addiction. Trust me. At some point you will sit in your underwear thumbing through your PSA 10's just feeling like the world is in your hands. Fellas, it is ok. Love your sports, love your hobby, love your cards, and keep the hobby alive!!!!!!!!! Love u all!
Hey guys great vid. Just curious, I want to go ohtani hunting, are there any Topps sets, boxes, etc to go out and buy? There’s cellos for chrome on every for 180 but are there other Topps sets you guys recommend?
Hey Chad - I love 2018 wax, but I’m scared to open at these prices! 🤣 I think your best bet is staying with Topps Update boxes or Topps Chrome boxes. I have several that I’m keeping in my sealed wax collection. But again, prices are pretty high. Good luck if you do go hunting! And keep us posted - thanks for watching.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin thanks for reply. Yes some boxes are super steep lol my bday is coming up and I think the wife would be ok with some cello packs since they’re not breaking the bank. Awesome vid again guys 👍
Hey Roy, I’d stay away from anything outside the true color parallels. No waves. No Rays. I’d much MUCH rather have a true blue refractor auto than anything green.
Thank you for your video! Really in depth takes. I think as you said any “true” color parallels are great. Do you think there is room for the green refractor to grow?
Thanks for the comment - and for watching! Personally, I like Green Refractors and have a handful of them in my collection. But the hobby as whole has definitely shown to prefer Blue/Gold/Orange. Room to grow for Greens? Maybe, you never know -- tastes can change? But the safer plays seem to be the other traditional colors.
is there room for a green Ohtani to grow - of course! I like the blues better and they've been around longer, but the True Green #/99 for a player as big as ohtani will always be in demand. However, we've bought some green refractors of other players and i'll be honest - we regret it. So it's not a color that we pursue, and not one I would comfortably recommend.
I wish Ohtani didn't have so many rookie cards, the print runs are crazy high and the pop reports will continue to rise... looking at the junk wax era for the most part, Griffey Jr and Jeter in high grade have maintained or increased in value, but even those players don't have as many rookie cards, as the players, of today. If I had 10 K to invest in sport cards, I would diversify it, in vintage cards rather than putting all eggs into one basket (Shohei), but to each to his own.
You're absolutely right. You definitely have to be discerning when shopping for Ohtani RCs. And I think your strategy of diversifying is a good one. Even with the most "sure thing" players there is risk. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for watching! What we’ve seen is collectors gravitating toward the pure colors. Those have been around longer and that history does matter. You can go all the way back to 2002 for gold refractors. Maybe waves will catch on more in the future, but I’d rather not take the chance. For now, the pure colors are the safer buy.
People tend to shy away from wave refractors because the hobby is based off tradition and wave parallels are relatively new. 2010 Topps Chrome is the current standard for parallels that people chase.
Now that Ohtani in LA Dodgers what you think of his value in LAD uniform? What card is best to buy in Ohtani LAD? Have so many of his cards in Angels uniform and holding it. Want to collect more of his cards. Now LAD 😮
Yeah, his move across town to the Dodgers definitely brings a different angle to his cards. And no doubt, some of his first Dodger cards will have high value, but be careful, because when they first come out, I'm sure their prices will be ballooned up. Best if you can wait a few months after a product's release before picking any singles of Ohtani up. Some that I will be keeping an eye out for will be his Topps black parallels /73, his Topps Chrome Gold parallels /50, and Heritage Real One autos -- especially Red Ink which will be lower numbered. Good luck and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comment! Truthfully, I don't know enough about the greater memorabilia market to give you a full answer. You're right that cards are often more liquid because of the bigger market, but man, anything Ohtani these days seems golden.
Love that card, but just SUCH a high pop. Not sure it can sustain this crazy rise. We had two that we got in on around $450-500 and decided to sell one recently just because of the crazy rise in value. Would love to pick up a purple/green parallel though!
Love the video! Hope you guys do more of these videos! I'd love to hear what you have to say about Ohtani's Bowman Platinum rookie variation card! Keep up the great content!
Thanks! Ohtani has so many rookies. He’s in everything and every set has parallels and variations. I like the Bowman platinum card, but the image is too similar to the Bowman Chrome variation. So we went with that as the better card for our list. But it’s still a nice, fairly rare rookie!
@@mattymac4uREALso many topps flagship variations out there. Honestly, I’d stick to the main ones. Some rookies are going to fall through the cracks and be forgotten.
Thanks for watching! We did mention his 2018 Bowman Chrome base card as one of his best mid/lowe end cards. That's probably his best base card rookie. Other than that one, when in doubt, go with the first Topps Flagship card and that's his series 2 - pitching image, white uniform, #700. Another option might be his 2018 Finest - it's another great hitting image!
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin I mean, you missed his Bowman Sterling. That's a pretty good base card that I'm talking about. One's like that where you can pick up a PSA 10 for 40 50 bucks
Transcendent cards are really nice, but also kind of a niche product. Super High End. So far, I think the hobby prefers rarer cards from more accessible releases. Transcendent is for the truly high rollers.
From what I understand, Otani without the h is simply an alternate translation. And since there was no "corrected" version, not sure it will carry a premium for that reason. But you never know! And regardless, it's his first major US card, so a very significant one. Thanks for commenting!
Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching. It’s tough to find the right angle - slabs are reflective! We tried to add images of the most important cards afterward. So you can get a look at them.
Does the phrasing bother you?? The PSA 10 pop count is kind of standard in the hobby. Helps us all gauge how many cards are out there - especially helpful with unnumbered cards like SP and SSP.
We've mostly stayed away from non-licensed stuff, and that includes Ohtani. But, even that stuff appears to be gaining traction! We are definitely in uncharted territory when it comes to Ohtani cards.
Hello! It be great if you did a video on Shohei’s true Rookie card from Japan. His 2013 BBM First Edition #183. The card is starting to really jump up in price lately and the pop reports show less then 400 between both BGS and PSA. Feel like not many people know about the card and is a real sleeper investment being his first true rookie card from Japan.
This is a great idea! But, I don't know much about those cards myself. I'll try to look into it a little more. I know there are a lot of his cards from those sets.
Those are cool cards, but they just didn't crack our list. The main reason is because they're sticker autos. Ohtani has lots of on card autos, so in our opinion the sticker autos are less desirable. Of course, Ohtani is so great, all of his autos are going to be popular, but we tried to limit it to what we felt were the best of the best. Thanks for watching!!
yes, yes, yes...in 2018, i bought about $40K of Ohtani's cards and memorabilias. 50 debut bobblehead at $40 each, 3 signed balls from Topps, 1 signed jersey from Topps, 1 signed 1st win auto card from Topps, 40 booklets of 2018 Angels full season ticket stubs, 6 mlb rookie debut ticket stub at Oakland, 5 pitching debut ticket stubs at Oakland, 10+ of 2018 topps moment almost each every week, 10 rookie topps gypsy queen, 10 topps 2018 topps chrome reflector, 10 topps chrome 35th anniversay, 6 topps 2018 topps chrome green,... i'm quitting my cpa job to sell all my ohtani's cards. We're talking about $250K to unload!!🤣🤣🤣
You are way over the heads of most collectors. Unless these cards are super rare or gem mint tens, your basically screwed. This hobby is in worse shape than in the late eighties and early nineties. People who are collecting for an investment, you stand better in the stock market. Don't believe in all this hype.
You're right that we are in a period of oversaturation and production we haven't seen since the junk era heyday. However, unlike those years, I believe there are still cards being printed that will maintain value. Demand for the currently players isn't going away, so its the job of collectors to sift through the oceans of cards and try to figure out which ones are truly worth our time and attention. We're trying to do that and help other collectors do that, so we're hopefully not all buried under worthless boxes and binders of 1988 donruss. Again! Thanks for watching. You think any of these ohtani cards are worth going after?

The series 2 #700 rainbow foil parallel had the same pack odds as the gold in all formats, so you can assume a similiar print run of 2,018 cards. Pop counts on PSA are also REALLY similiar.
Yeah, good points. There is still a big price gap between the two parallels. Maybe because of the pedigree? The golds have been around longer?

We appreciate that support! Thank you for watching!
Hit the 2018 bowman chrome sterling orange auto and got #17/25 psa10 but auto 9. A lot do his auto’s are streaky. Wish I had the regular batting auto.
Oh man, incredible! Congrats on that one. And might want to consider just getting a new slab with no auto grade on there, just the 10 for the card grade.
Seen some of the SSP and im already hunting them down haha

I know this is 10 months too late but I was able pick up shohei ohtani legends in the making the gold version it has a pop 4 right now I love the card.
Oh heck yeah! Bet that looks great! Nice pickup and thanks for watching!
What do you think of the Topps Heritage Deckle Edge Insert PSA 10? The pop is 382 and it is a beautiful card.
I have the 2018 allen and ginter shohei ohtani rookie card standard size
Nice! A&G cards are pretty cool.
At one point in your video you recommend refractors over prism refractors. Just curious why? Thanks.
Great vid!
Much appreciated -- Thanks for watching!
Hi what is the best flagships to get topps update which one #us189 or #US1. Thanks Roy
Of those two, US1 is a much more important card and more likely to hold value. Still, I would try to stick to parallels (gold /2018, for instance) as there are just so many of the regular base cards printed.
Great video guys
Thank you! And thanks for checking it out! I hope it helps you decide on a card.
How do y'all feel about Shoheis Topps heritage rc mint 10... investment or collectible?
@leshughes6307 He’s got a variation in the regular heritage set that’s a really nice card. Pretty rare. #17.
Then he has a base in the high number set. #600, that also has an action variation (pitching).
I like the #17 the best of his heritage cards paper cards. The high number refractors (#’ed parallels) are beauties too.
He just has so many rookies. Not everything can make the list!

I wish we had some of Ohtani’s Japanese cards. We missed out on those, but the longer he plays, the more demand there will be for those.

Thanks for watching! Do you have any Ohtani?
I have a 2019 Topps Ohtani that has the rookie shield on it. It's a 84 throw back I think. What is going on with this card? Is it desired among collectors
Thanks for watching and commenting! For some reason, Topps put the RC shield on some of his 2019 cards including the throwback you have. It makes an interesting conversation piece, but it is NOT an actual rookie and isn't rare, so doesn't hold much value. Still a cool card though!

How do you guys feel about the 2018 Shohei Ohtani topps chrome RC Card PSA 10 Rookie Refractor?
Hey, thanks so much for the question. The #150 Base Refractor? We love the card! Anything above his base card is a great entry point into the graded Ohtani RC market.
@@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin, not the #150, but the #83T-6.
@@Blabbin_Bout_SlabbinIs there a place I can look up every card ever made for each player and which type of boxes or packs they came from?

Tough to say. Unlicensed cards don't have near the market as licensed ones. But, Ohtani is a true unicorn in the market. His cards don't follow all the market trends, so his Leaf cards likely have and will hold some value. Just how much? Only time will tell. Thanks for the comment!

What are some of topps Autos of shohei Otani to invest in the top 5. How about topps chrome refractor Green wave thanks Roy
Hey Roy,
I’d stay away from anything outside the true color parallels.
No waves. No Rays. I’d much MUCH rather have a true blue refractor auto than anything green.
@Blabbin_Bout_Slabbin hey Jeff what is the top 5 Auto 2018 of shohei Otani to chase. Thanks Roy

Hey, we’re lucky they put up with us and our card nonsense, we have to at least mention them from time to time 🤣. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! But why is wave refractor less popular??

Do you ever recommend investing in Ohtani autographed jerseys? Do cards always command the greatest return, because it has a larger market?
Thanks for the comment! Truthfully, I don't know enough about the greater memorabilia market to give you a full answer. You're right that cards are often more liquid because of the bigger market, but man, anything Ohtani these days seems golden.
Even though it has a high pop count, I actually prefer his 2017 Bowman Chrome mega card if we are talking non-auto cards.
Love that card, but just SUCH a high pop. Not sure it can sustain this crazy rise. We had two that we got in on around $450-500 and decided to sell one recently just because of the crazy rise in value. Would love to pick up a purple/green parallel though!

Yes! We’ve been hearing about this product in the comments. It sounds like parallels are scarce! Thanks for watching.
The first card of the Japan 2017 WBC Ohtani card might be worth more money with Otani spelled wrong on the card.
From what I understand, Otani without the h is simply an alternate translation. And since there was no "corrected" version, not sure it will carry a premium for that reason. But you never know! And regardless, it's his first major US card, so a very significant one. Thanks for commenting!

The card is starting to really jump up in price lately and the pop reports show less then 400 between both BGS and PSA. This is a great idea! But, I don't know much about those cards myself. I'll try to look into it a little more. I know there are a lot of his cards from those sets.

Well, neither of us were active in the hobby in 2017, so no. We are not.
How come you didn't mention Topps chrome update rookie auto 😢 pitching stance.

Wow, that's incredible! Great foresight! Good luck as you start to sell.
Again!
