thank you for watching and for your kind comment :) I'm happy to hear you like my videos!
I gave up metal detecting years ago, there was nobody in my part of Texas 150 years ago. Nothing but a bunch of poor dirt farmers. If I lived on ancient grounds like you, I'd be out every weekend. Great finds!
I am really pleased you have uploaded a new video, and your finds are fantastic! Thanks, Hans.
Always love your videos. They are consistently great quality in finds as well as in the video itself. I love how much care and effort you put into each one.
thank you for appreciating my videos :) I'm happy to hear you like them!
Filming at golden hour like this allowed you to beautifully capture the essence of autumn. You are a master videographer, Hans! Congratulations on all the wonderful finds, and thanks for the video!
hello my friend. I'm so happy to hear that you like my sunset video :) thank you very much for appreciating my filming and for your kind words.
Love your videos. Haunting to think of the people who lived out their days there two thousand years ago. Thank you Hans.
beautiful scenery an wildlife shots, discovered you today and already enjoy
The first coin of the video is a celtic coin. It is called "potin à la grosse tête" in french and "sequaner potin" in Germany. This kind of celtic coin is usually found in east of France, Switzerland and in south-west of Germany
approximately what year would it be?
@@e-curb 1st century BC
thank you very much for defining the coin for me! I'm so excited about this coin. It's very interesting to find a Celtic coin on a roman villa site. It's known that the Celts made the land arable before the Romans invaded. There could have been a Celtic farmstead before. I hope I will find more evidence for that.
@@TerraGermaniaTG the celts and the romans mixed a lot, so would the coinage.
Nice finds, well done and thank you for bringing us along.
Excellent channel. About the best out there. Thanks. From California USA
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that :)
Another wonderful video. Each one is a treasure ❤
Amazing as usual, Hans. Thanks for showing the reality of detecting.
Thanks Hans. I'm glad you were rewarded for picking up all that trash.
Amazing finds! I appreciate that sometimes you show us all the trash too. The treasures to trash ratio keeps things realistic in terms of showing all the false signals you still must dig to get the good items. That spoon fragment was very interesting. Congratulations!!!!
Always a joy.Thank you Hans.
Thank you Hans. Another beautiful and superbly photographed presentation. Congratulations on the lovely finds.
thank you, I'm happy to hear that :)
I miss you showing the trash piles. Always nice to see the work that goes into the treasures.
Always a joy to hang out with you.great video always!
I really enjoyed your video today, Hans. You found some amazing treasure! Thanks for sharing your adventure! 👍
Hans, great finds! Thanks for sharing your passion with us.
Boy I sure do love your videos, finds and enthusiasm. Keep up the great work 🤘🏼
I'm happy to hear that, thank you :)

Sneak peek in work...looking forward to casting to TV tonight!!! Mucho gracias Hans!!! ❤
Herr Hans, the Denarius coin is in beautiful condition!! I would have sat down too!
Ottimo video con colori fantastici grazie per la condivisione
grazie mille my friend :)
What an incredible find
Yet another wonderful video and your final Roman coin is to die for! Please keep sharing your adventures.
You are so lucky to be in an area with so much historic evidence
I don't take it for granted. thank you for watching!
Nice area full of history, you are so lucky Hans. The Denarius was a surprise, worth digging up the rubbish 👍
Wonderful dig, thanks for sharing your finds! Take care and go find some more!!
I am so thankful for this channel - every video is classy, beautifully arranged, relaxing, interesting, and positive. You dig up treasures, but the rest of us have already found our treasures, in every new video that you post.
thank you for your kind comment! I'm happy to hear all that :)
Thank you for showing the trash you dug at the end of the video, gives us a visual of all the disapointment you persevere through to find the treasure.
every item is one dig :P I really had to work hard that day. thank you for watching!
You deserve a television show Hans. Simply brilliant video as always. ATB MMMD
Thank you my friend :)
Thank you for another beautiful video, Hans, so appreciative of your dedication and artistry. Good thing about taking out all that trash is that you won't have to detect it again. Congrats on those gorgeous coins!
thank you for watching and for your support my friend :) that's right.you also make it easier for your detector to find possible deeper targets that get camouflaged by shallow trash layers.
Awesome day, nice one! 👋
A brilliant day for you my friend , well done .
What a wonderful find, Hans!! Your patience was certainly rewarded that day!
I truly admire your dedication to your art of finding the past.
thank you my friend :)
Another great video. Loved the trash, just reminds me that I am not wasting my time when I come home with a bag of rubbish, just need to persevere, it is there! Andy
glad you like it my friend, thank you for watching! It's so important to remove the trash as you clear the way for your detector to find items in deeper regions, too.
Best wishes out there. Good selection of finds coming up. Happy hunting!
thank you, same to you :) happy hunting and thank you for watching!

So often the one that one doesn't film is the one! Best wishes from England, Dave
Hans, I am so excited to tell you that I recognize the bronze coin! I found one exactly like it in the Albs. It is a Celtic coin from the Sequani tribe. It is indeed a stylized wolf on the back. If memory serves me correctly, it is roughly 100 to 60 B.C.!!
thank you for telling me what it is my friend :) I appreciate your help! very exciting to find something like that on a Roman villa site.
Another wonderful video! Thank you for sharing these days with us!
Hi Hans,
It's always nice to see your videos and see your enthusiasm rewarded, as in today's video, by a precious find.
Bravo 👏
Oh Hans.... 201 videos! Holy smokes, congratulations! Beautiful shot of the sunset and deer. Good job finding the silver. You take care, big hugs....Beste, Anna

Awesome hunt Hans, lots of sorting through the garbage in that field
Thanks for the wonderful videos over the years. This year marks my 50th year of metal detection, My mantra has been "dig every signal". If I had not done, and continue to do this, the mind boggles at the treasures I would have missed. Keep up the good work.
50 years of metal detection 😲. In some weird way you do beat me but at 54 years old I do remember as a toddler following my Dad metal detecting around a beach way back in the erly 70's which I think did start my venture into metal detecting and I have enjoyed every second to present. 😀🙂. P.s. I dig every signal also. 😊.
@@myview1875 I bought a metal detector on my return from wonderful Southeast Asia. I was in my early 20s.
my pleasure. thank you for watching my videos and for your kind comment. I pretty much dig every signal, too. I had too many eye opener moments when I checked "bad signals" and they turned out to be something. congrats on 50 years in the hobby :)

Hello Tony, thank you for watching and for commenting :) I really had to work hard for these finds. I have to do a video where I show every dig because one can get a wrong impression about the field when watching the video :D All the best to you and happy hunting,
Hans

Thanks for the great video. The range and variety of targets far exceeds anything we have over here in California. What an exciting day you had. Good hunting.
thank you for watching and for your kind comment :)
Nice finds hans.👍
I am very glad that I have just found your channel & I am looking forward to catching up on your past videos. I appreciate not only your amazing finds & video quality but your calm & eloquent delivery all in impressive British English too.
British archaeologists use the word sherd for a pottery shard.
I reckon the coin at minute 9 could be a Potin.
hello and welcome to my channel! thank you for watching and for your kind words. I'm glad you like what I do :) thank you also for sharing your thought about the coin which indeed is a so called sequaner potin.
well done on the roman finds amazing detecting
Das As ist ja der Wahnsinn 😱👍🏻 Glückwunsch , hatte ich noch nie 🙅♂️ und der Denar erst heilige Scheiße hast du ein Glück 🍀

Hey Hans, I love your videos and this one is great again. I‘m looking forward to my first roman coin and I think I would have to sit down as well in such a timeshifting moment. With greetings from Hammersbach, Sven
Hallo Sven, danke dir, das freut mich zu hören. Dein erster Römer sollte nicht lange auf sich warten lassen, so nah wie du am Limes bist. Viel Glück und viele Grüße,
Hans!
