I could lose myself in that misty forest for hours. I was in awe with that stirrup. So glad you found your GPS. I can't imagine you getting upset, Hans. You are the calmest person on YT and have the most soothing voice. Wonderful and beautiful video as usual.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to everyone of your adventures. Thanks for doing what you do. Your a great cameraman also. From the least oldest place in the world, seattle washington usa where you cant find anything older than 1900...good job.

Well Hans great to have you back. I was going to organise a search party you was missing so long. Loved your emerging from the Primeval mist with your weapon over your shoulder. Great finds. Your lip was nearly dragging in the leaf mould when you lost your GPS. Persistence paid off in the end. Good to see you restart your love affair with your field. Your meant for each other mate. Wish I knew it's sister.
+hard yakka hello my friend, thank you! haha. . not necessary ;) the weather wasn't very good the past weeks. . . haha. . It was very atmospheric in the misty forest . . i enjoyed that day! I'm so happy that i could find the gps again. . i was determined as hell to find it again! thank you for watching and commenting :) all the best, hans
Hi Hans and thanks for taking us along. When I saw the curve to the shape on top of the "stirrup," I thought it might be a foot brace for drawing the string of a crossbow, but I've been known to have these flights of fancy before. It's good to see you out standing in your field. ;) Glad you found your GPS. It makes a case for a tether of some sort or one of those key chain things that will sound off when you clap your hands, so a person can find misplaced keys. At 13:20, I suspect it may be mostly 1/2 of a surrounding escutcheon plate, decorating a lock of some sort. Thanks for making me think and wonder within a beautifully presented adventure. My grandfather would have called it gemutlikeit. Apologies if that's not spelled correctly, but I'm sure you get the idea. I will toast one in your honor, my friend.
+Kim Jameson hello kim, thank you for following me on my hunt :) I've never heard of a foot brace. . interesting! my fields never disappoint me. . they always have something nice for me :) I'M so happy that I've found my gps again! I was very determined to find it again even though it took a long time! I close the zip of my jacket pocket every time from now on. . thank you for your interesting guess about the copper plate. . I will do some research in this direction :) thank you for watching my video and for your kind words my friend! I'm happy to hear that you liked my video! I'm surprised that you know the word gemütlichkeit :) all the best, hans
+Digging History hello my friend, thank you for your kind words! I'm happy to hear you like my video! haha. . yes they are. . especially when you come out of the woods where the finds density is only a fraction of the one on my fields. . . thank you for watching! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Again a nice trip, like the woods and also youre finds maby i go and hunt whit my detector in youre woods some day, Hoop to see more of youre video's i like them verry much. Grus aus Holland, ad
Hans, Some really great finds!! The ones I liked the most was the Billhook, Pipe Stems, but mostly the Glass. When the wife and I travel to Upstate New York, we always go to the town (Village) of Corning, and the Corning Glass Works (they are the company that discovered how to make Fiber Optic Cable, that is used now world wide, it was done by accident, about everything that they came up with from Corning Cook ware to Fiber Optics was all but accident. What is important is that they have a Glass Museum that has pieces of glass that have been found from all over the world, that date back before very early Egypt and Roman times, if you ever have the chance to come to the U.S., that is one place to place on you list to visit. Thank you for your GREAT Videos!! Have a Fantastic Day!!!!
+Ellwood Bear hello my friend, thank you for watching and for your kind comment! thank you also for your interesting explanation about the glass manufacturer . . the museum seems to be a fantastic place. . I will definitely keep that in my mind If I ever happen to be in this part of the us. . thank you, have a fantastic day too! all the best, hans
Hi Hans, It's good to see you back in your dream field again! I'm sure it's still got many surprises in store for you yet. My dream field still comes up with the odd surprise even after being detected on for thirty years ! That hoard of Roman gold is still waiting for you somewhere in that field ! I hope you find it soon!! Happy hunting.
+Andrew PIKE hello andrew, thank you my friend. . I hope you are right about that ;) it's very encouraging to hear that you keep finding goodies on your field after 30 years. . I have to make the son of the farmer some presents ;) thank you for watching and for your kind words!!! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Hi Hans. Another great video with nice finds. Several years ago I experienced a loss while detecting, which caused me a lot of concern and lost time. Since then all of my detecting equipment, to include the detector, has bright florescent tape on them. A lot easier to spot, day or night. Best, Fred
+Fred Probst hello fred, thank you my friend, I'm glad you like my video! I've learned something from this event to. .from now on I will zip up my jacket pocket every time I put the gps back. . the hint with the florescent tape is a good one! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
+Michael Rau hello michael, thank you for watching them, I'm happy to hear that you like them! oh really? cool. .have you ever been here? all the best, hans
I would really like to visit. My family is from the Hessen area, Althiem. I'll be going to Germany next December or following spring. I look forward to your video's and intend to buy a detector myself this spring. Would you have any advice as to what to look for in a detector. Thanks for answering.
altheim? funny! i often drove through this village on my way to darmstadt :) I'm a xp user and I would recommend you the adx 150. . .it's an easy to understand detector and it's very powerful..It's a detector many professionals use too! drop me a line when you are in germany. . maybe we can meet for a beer. . all the best, hans
+bnanabelle hello hanna! thank you very much for watching and for your kind comment! I'm very happy that you like my video! all the best to you, GL&HH! hans
Hello Hans, another wonderfull video as usual. The forest was so magical with the fog. It's good to see you again ;) Best wishes and happy hunt. I stay tuned :)
+ricercadore hello my friend, thank you, I'm happy to hear that you like my video :) I really enjoyed detecting the forest. . it was an atmospheric scenery. . thank you for watching, for your kind words and for staying tuned :) all the best, GL&HH! hans
Hans. The quality and production of your videos are excellent. I can see National Geographic knocking at your door. Fantastic and interesting finds today and glad you found your gps. I dropped my pin pointer in England but luckily found it again. Looking forward to further treasure from Germany. HH Doc, your friend in Canada
+DigginDoc hello doc, thank you for your kind and flattering words about my video! I'm very happy to hear that you like them! I have to take care not to loose my pinpointer too. . maybe I should mark it with a noticeable color tape. . . thank you for watching my friend, all the best, hans
Hans, I agree with others. Excellent video and opening shots of the woodland. I only ever saw another detectorist hunt German woodlands for Roman and possible very early Celt and that was Digger Dan. Very nice video and great finds and both locations.
+Allen Roach hello allen, thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that. . It was an enjoyable and atmospheric woodland hunt. most detectorists who detect woodland are looking for ww2 items. . i'm not too much into ww2. . . thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
Another great video Hans, I'm pleased you found your GPS mate. I just resonantly shared your recent coin cleaning video with the Leicestershire Metal Detecting Society, they loved it!!. Thanks for showing us all!!. John.
+OLDGOLD1100 hello john! thank you my friend, I'm glad you like it :) . . it's great that I was able to find the gps again. . I was so annoyed when I realized that it fell out of my pocket! thank you very much for sharing my coin cleaning video! I'm happy to hear that your club likes the video :) all the best and thank you for watching and for your kind comment! GL&HH! hans
Once again great finds and scenery, I envy you Hans. The area you hunt in is certainly rich in history and you're lucky to be there. Good luck and happy hunting, can't wait for your next video!
+Jonathan Adler hello jonathan, thank you my friend, I'm glad to hear that you like the scenery and the finds i made! I'm very grateful for the opportunity to detect these sites and I don't take it for granted! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans

+Hammy Hunting hello alex! thank you my friend, I'm happy t hear you like it! it was a beautiful and atmospheric day in the woods and later on the day the sun came out. . lovely! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans

+Roman Tor hello my friend, thank you for your kind words about my videos! It makes me very happy to hear all this! filming became a very important side hobby for me and I enjoy doing it :) thank you for watching! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Nice camera work. You make it very interesting and it's nice to see a detectorist who cares about the environment as well as finding almost everything that comes out of the ground interesting. Well done. Steve from England.
+Donald Duck hello steve, thank you for watching my video and for your kind words about my filming! you made me happy with your comment :) metal detecting and filming is a passion of me and I'm glad that I'm able to convey this passion. all the best and greetings to england, hans
Dream video about the mysterious woods and the dreamfields ... Apart from the interesting finds with historical interest, you always seem to find the most beautiful shots to include them in your videos. Thanks for sharing your excellent work, Hans !
+Oldfaithful61 thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that you like my hunts on different terrain :) . . It's lots of fun for me to film the nature and moods of the respective detecting days. . when I watch the videos later I can reminisce about the mood and scenery of that day. . thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
Hello Hans, great finds! Makes up for the accidently misplaced GPS-I know I'm just buzzing about all the Romans and stirrup and other ancient finds. Please note that the stirrup won the Battle of Hastings 1066A.D.,first use in battle. Evidence of stirrups, leather, rope, etc, go back to China - Gehghis-Kublai Khan Mongol Dynasty. Many thanks for the most outstanding cinematography-your hard labor, they are never forgot. Spring has sprung in U,P, of Michigan! Comepletely Barefoot Frank
+Frank D'Alberto hello my friend, thank you for watching and for your interesting comment! I've learned something :) I hope the weather will change to spring soon :) all the best, hans
Hans, have you thought about using surveyors tape in the forest? Tie the tape on trees or branches. That way you can mark areas of interest and when your done you can remove from the trees.
+Retired AF CE hello rob! thank you for your tip. . I will think about that. . I use to mark the places where i found interesting items with sticks. . It's not always easy to find them again though :D thank you for watching! hans
TerraGermania yes it is very easy to lose your compass bearing in the forest. Especially if you are detecting and looking down. It almost all looks the same. My guess is a couple of Euros for a roll of orange tape will work. Take care Hans.
+david hopper hello dave! thank you my friend, I'm glad to hear that! yes it does. . I love ploughed fields :) thank you fr watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Another very good video. Nice finds and it looks summer is very close there. Here we still have half meter snow so it takes a few weeks before we go out detecting.... But keep up the good work and waiting more videos! :) Greetings from nothern Finland!
+Paramedio thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like my video! It was a beautiful, sunny day on my field. . unfortunately the weather is changing for the worse the coming day. . spring is still far away. . I wish you good detecting weather soon :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
Tolles Video!
LG, hans
+Min Abra thant's interesting! i will do some research on this :) thank you for telling me and for watching! I'm glad you like my videos! all the best, hans
Terrific couple of hunts! The first time I watched this video was on my TV - for those of you who can, you must check out Hans' videos on your TV - the photography is spectacular!! Seriously Hans, I would suspect you are a professional videographer! I'm so glad you found your GPS device! The glass bead and glass piece were super interesting!
+Michelle G hello michelle, thank you, I'm glad you like my hunts :) . . . you made me curious. . .I will check if my TV allows to connect my laptop to see how my videos appear on a big screen :) thank you for your flattering assumption but I'm not a professional. . I'm a still learning autodidact :) thank you for watching my videos and for your kind comments! all the best, hans
I absolutely love, love, love the forest from part one! The video from that part was beautifully crafted! The stirrup was amazing and congratulations on that.... I wish I knew more about Roman artifacts to help.... sorry I dont... but I will keep watching.... Best, Anna.
+Anna M. Addison haha. . that makes me happy :) It was a very atmospheric morning in the woods . . I enjoyed it very much! for me nature Is one of the most important facets of the hobby! thank you for watching!
+Don koffie thank you my friend, glad you like it! thank you for watching! I'm happy to be back on my fields too! i hope I will have some time to detect them until the farmer sows the fields again. . all the best, GL&HH! hans
I don't know why but the decorative bronze piece made me think of a figure with a helmet on. I wonder if it was a brooch of a gladiator? I know the Romans followed certain gladiators like some of us follow certain sports personalities nowadays. I loved the scenes in the woods, the fog made it so atmospheric and the different shots of nature are so lovely. Thank you for taking so much time and effort to make your videos full of such different subjects, they are always a joy to watch. Take care Hans, good luck 🍀 and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK 🙋
+M Johnson hello mary- ellen, thank you for watching and for your interesting comment. . I will do some research on your idea! It was very atmospheric in the woods and I wanted to capture as much as possible of this scenery . . I'm happy to hear that you like the shoots! thank you for your kind words about my videos! comments like yours keep me going :) all the best, hans
+777JRyan thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment! I'm so happy that I could find my gps again! It was a horrible moment when I realized that I'd lost it. .haha all the best, hans
VLG, GL&HH! hans
+Derek Hullett hello derek, I hope to be able to make more videos in woodland. . especially in summer when all the fields are under crops! thank you for watching!
+MrMerox33 thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like it! hmm. .interesting proposal . .I will think about it. . thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
Hello Hans! I like very much the glasses jewels. In this field you had a Roman camp. No? 4 roman coins is fantastic. I can imagine how you were nervous loosing your GPS🍀 we spend our tile looking for loosing object we can't stand loosing our stuff. Last july i lost my phone on a beach in the evening. I found it back 3 hours later in the black with an electric torch on wet sand...Thank you for your video allways the best. Françoise
+Domus 29 hello françoise, I like the surface finds too I made this day. . the bead could be very old and the piece of nubby glass is from the grip of a roman drinking glass... haha. . you are right! we want to find lost items but we don't allow ourselves to loose things. . I'm so happy I was able to find it again! omg. . loosing a cell phone is very annoying! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best,GL&HH! hans
Hello Hans, Hope you are keeping well and thank-you for a great video, some great finds you made, Roman and Medi-evil. Myself and a friend found a Roman scattered hoard last Wednesday, we have recovered 208 bronze coins at the moment but have been told by Sam Moorhead ( P.A.S.)to recover as many as possible. The land was last ploughed 12 years ago at a depth of 36 inches, so it could have disturbed the top half of the pot, so work is continuing at this moment. Will let you know how it goes at a later date All the best Hans, Regards Richard,
+booeddie100 hello richard, I'm fine thank you my friend. . hope all is well with you too! wow! really? that's great! congratulations to your fantastic find! I would be glad if you could keep me informed about your finding! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH! hans
Good to have you back Hans! After watching all of your videos in such a short time it seems liked ages before the next one!! But well worth the wait, very nicely filmed and some fine finds! Look forward to the next one! All the best Jay
A pin pointer really cuts down on dig time . I find them to be a very valuable tool as I use mine every day . I'll be posting some detecting videos soon on my channel and I would love some feed back from you . Thank you and happy hunting 😀
+Lorne Mouland hello! you're right. . but I found out that the pinpointer is the greatest help fr me when detecting pasture or woodland. . on the fields I'm a lot faster with the conventional method most of the times. . . sure! just tell my when you've uploaded your vid :) all the best and thank you for watching! hans
Hallo Hans.
Hey Hans, enjoyed watching your video again! I like the roman coins you keep finding :) I guess it is a huge difference digging in the woods compared to digging on a field. Great that you found your GPS receiver. Fortunately, I just lost my toothbrush on the field, but no expensive tool :) Best regards and Gut Fund Chris
+Chris Görk hello chris, thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that! the romans are always outstanding finds for me! yes, it makes a big difference to detect on plowed land. . .you saw the difference between wood and field in terms of find rate :) I love to detect woodland though! It makes a nice change and it is mystical ;) I had a big fight to find the gps again. . I just couldn't quit on this one. . . thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, GL&HH hans
Those iron artifacts are very important, most iron objects were recycled throughout history. It is good that you are finding iron objects of that age and that they are being preserved.
+Spear Brave hello my friend. . .you said it! most detectorists use high discrimination levels to ignore iron. . I love my iron finds and you can find fantastic things! thank you for watching and for your kind comment! all the best, hans
Hi Hans. Not found a Roman coin yet, and you found 4 in one day, that's not fair...LOL Some nice finds Hans, looked a good day weather wise also. take care friend GL & HH Tom
+Tom Wood hello tom! haha. . it's a special and rare field I'm detecting there. . I keep my fingers crossed for your to find your first roman soon :) thank you for watching my friend. . all the best, GL&HH! hans
LG, hans
Another great episode! Glad you got your gps back. I found my first gold ring at the beach the other week, first real treasure. Always inspired by your videos and I want to find a gold nugget next as you suggested I should, since I can't get the old Roman relics like you can.
+Peter hello peter, thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like it! congrats on your gold ring! what a fantastic find! i keep my fingers crossed for your to find a huge nugget soon :) thank you for watching! all the best, hans
LG, hans
So sorry you lost the GPS and had to search diligently to find it. But you have some terrific finds on this search. Love the stirrup and the other artifact.
LG, hans
+john whitehead I definitely spent most of the time to find my gps and I'm so happy that I was able to find it again. . would have been a shame and quite pricey! thank you for watching :) all the best, hans
dude i just came across your channel like 2 hours ago and all i've done is watch your videos since then...SO GREAT! id love to get out and detect right now but the ground is too hard here at the moment...god watching your videos reminds me of my summers the past 3 year...i was born in croatia , love metal detecting there SOOO many great finds...people think the UK has the best stuff, but they are so wrong..only reason why they think that is because metal detecting in most EU countries is outlawed....just imagine what kinda stuff someone could find in Orléans or on the outskirts or Rouen...or OMG I CANT IMAGINE what types of riches are in the fields of Spain (md'ing strictly forbidden without license which is hella hard to get, virtually impossible for someone like me (US))...its such a shame, and really is so BACKWARDS...what benefit does a country have if it insists on making sure it's riches remain buried..SO BAFFLING
+Vu1n S33k3r hello! welcome on my channel and thank you for watching my videos! I'm happy to hear you like them! sorry to hear that you can't go detecting at the moment. . wish you better weather soon! europe is a great place for metal detecting! you can find amazing things in all european countries. . .the reason why some countries have strict metal detecting laws is not that they don't want the things to be found. the reason is that they don't want to have people who dig the finds willy-nilly and destroy the most important part of the finds. . the find context...here in germany you have to absolve a course that teaches you how to treat finds and what to dig and what not. . .I think that's the best way to do it and both parties benefit from that :) all the best, hans
+TerraGermania Ya know what don't understand is, why not just follow someone who has the detector permissions? I don't know if anyone has ever asked but, I think it would be great fun to just follow someone around, carry their bag or shovel and just let them work and share in the glory of the find... Just be there with the high fives and hot tea.... A long walk in nature, plenty of talk about past finds and future possiblities... ok, this is starting to sound like a singles ad.... sorry.
my girlfriend used to do that a couple of times in the beginning and It was nice but she gradually lost interest. . hahah. .metal detecting is a bit nerdy for most people!
Stunning footage, what an amazing place. I love the music too, is it German medieval secular music? Glad you found your GPS and amazing finds. As always, thanks for sharing :)
+cake in the night hello my friend, I'm glad you like the footage :) It was a very enjoyable and atmospheric day in the forest! the music is from NotaBene: www.notabene-musik.de they play music from the medieval europe. thank you for watching and for your kind words! I'm so happy that I was able to find my gps again :) all the best, hans
Hi Hans, Love the way you presented your video, congratulations on the medieval stirrup. My oldest medaldetecting find is a bronze coin from the Han dinastey. I thought it was a medal washer ha ha. I'm kind of curious why the small tree behind you is bent in a half circle. 7:19 What do you think? Thanks H/H
hello my friend, thank you for your kind words about my videos, I'm happy to hear you like my presentation! wow! are you from china? I don't know what happened to the tree. . but I see tree like that quite often. thank you for watching! all the best, hans
I could lose myself in that misty forest for hours. I was in awe with that stirrup. So glad you found your GPS. I can't imagine you getting upset, Hans. You are the calmest person on YT and have the most soothing voice. Wonderful and beautiful video as usual.
+Agent Fungus hello my friend! thank you for your kind words about my videos an myself! I'm happy to hear all that! metal detecting is like meditation for me. . maybe that's why I come across as such a calm person :)
thank you for watching!!!
all the best,

Well Hans great to have you back. I was going to organise a search party you was missing so long. Loved your emerging from the Primeval mist with your weapon over your shoulder. Great finds. Your lip was nearly dragging in the leaf mould when you lost your GPS. Persistence paid off in the end. Good to see you restart your love affair with your field. Your meant for each other mate. Wish I knew it's sister.
+hard yakka hello my friend, thank you! haha. . not necessary ;) the weather wasn't very good the past weeks. . .

+Radar Plot Extractor thank you for watching and for your kind comment! I'm happy to hear that you like my nature shots :)

+Kim Jameson hello kim,
thank you for following me on my hunt :) I've never heard of a foot brace. . interesting!
my fields never disappoint me. . they always have something nice for me :)
I'M so happy that I've found my gps again! I was very determined to find it again even though it took a long time!
I close the zip of my jacket pocket every time from now on. .

+Pa' aquí, Pa' allá hello my friend :) thank you for watching and for your kind comment!!!
all the best,

+Ellwood Bear hello my friend, thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
thank you also for your interesting explanation about the glass manufacturer . . the museum seems to be a fantastic place. . I will definitely keep that in my mind If I ever happen to be in this part of the us. .
thank you, have a fantastic day too!
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans, It's good to see you back in your dream field again! I'm sure it's still got many surprises in store for you yet. My dream field still comes up with the odd surprise even after being detected on for thirty years ! That hoard of Roman gold is still waiting for you somewhere in that field ! I hope you find it soon!! Happy hunting.
+Andrew PIKE hello andrew,
thank you my friend. . I hope you are right about that ;) it's very encouraging to hear that you keep finding goodies on your field after 30 years. . I have to make the son of the farmer some presents ;)

Hi Hans. Another great video with nice finds. Several years ago I experienced a loss while detecting, which caused me a lot of concern and lost time. Since then all of my detecting equipment, to include the detector, has bright florescent tape on them. A lot easier to spot, day or night. Best, Fred
+Fred Probst hello fred,
thank you my friend, I'm glad you like my video!
I've learned something from this event to. .from now on I will zip up my jacket pocket every time I put the gps back. . the hint with the florescent tape is a good one!

I would really like to visit. My family is from the Hessen area, Althiem. I'll be going to Germany next December or following spring. I look forward to your video's and intend to buy a detector myself this spring. Would you have any advice as to what to look for in a detector. Thanks for answering.
altheim? funny! i often drove through this village on my way to darmstadt :)
I'm a xp user and I would recommend you the adx 150. . .it's an easy to understand detector and it's very powerful..It's a detector many professionals use too!
drop me a line when you are in germany. . maybe we can meet for a beer. .
all the best,

Absolutely we can have a Beer.

Hans, I agree with others. Excellent video and opening shots of the woodland. I only ever saw another detectorist hunt German woodlands for Roman and possible very early Celt and that was Digger Dan. Very nice video and great finds and both locations.
+Allen Roach hello allen,
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that. . It was an enjoyable and atmospheric woodland hunt. most detectorists who detect woodland are looking for ww2 items. . i'm not too much into ww2. . .

+Frank D'Alberto hello my friend,
thank you for watching and for your interesting comment! I've learned something :)
I hope the weather will change to spring soon :)
all the best,

Hans, have you thought about using surveyors tape in the forest? Tie the tape on trees or branches. That way you can mark areas of interest and when your done you can remove from the trees.
+Retired AF CE hello rob!
thank you for your tip. . I will think about that. . I use to mark the places where i found interesting items with sticks. . It's not always easy to find them again though :D
thank you for watching!
hans
TerraGermania yes it is very easy to lose your compass bearing in the forest. Especially if you are detecting and looking down. It almost all looks the same.
My guess is a couple of Euros for a roll of orange tape will work.
Take care Hans.
good idea my friend, thank you!
Brilliant video and finds Hans. The ploughed really worked well for you. Plenty of roman coins and a silver coin .Nice one Dave
+david hopper hello dave!

Tolles Video!
LG,

I don't know why but the decorative bronze piece made me think of a figure with a helmet on. I wonder if it was a brooch of a gladiator? I know the Romans followed certain gladiators like some of us follow certain sports personalities nowadays. I loved the scenes in the woods, the fog made it so atmospheric and the different shots of nature are so lovely. Thank you for taking so much time and effort to make your videos full of such different subjects, they are always a joy to watch. Take care Hans, good luck 🍀 and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK 🙋
+M Johnson hello mary- ellen,
thank you for watching and for your interesting comment. . I will do some research on your idea!

Françoise
+Domus 29 hello françoise,
I like the surface finds too I made this day. . the bead could be very old and the piece of nubby glass is from the grip of a roman drinking glass...
haha. . you are right! we want to find lost items but we don't allow ourselves to loose things. . I'm so happy I was able to find it again!
omg. . loosing a cell phone is very annoying!
thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
all the best,GL&HH!

Will let you know how it goes at a later date All the best Hans, Regards Richard,
+booeddie100 hello richard,
I'm fine thank you my friend. . hope all is well with you too!
wow! really? that's great! congratulations to your fantastic find! I would be glad if you could keep me informed about your finding!

A pin pointer really cuts down on dig time . I find them to be a very valuable tool as I use mine every day . I'll be posting some detecting videos soon on my channel and I would love some feed back from you . Thank you and happy hunting 😀
+Lorne Mouland hello!
you're right. . but I found out that the pinpointer is the greatest help fr me when detecting pasture or woodland. . on the fields I'm a lot faster with the conventional method most of the times. . .
sure! just tell my when you've uploaded your vid :)
all the best and thank you for watching!
hans
Glad you found your GPS.
Hallo Hans.
Wao richtig Geile Funde Super!
Hey Hans, enjoyed watching your video again! I like the roman coins you keep finding :) I guess it is a huge difference digging in the woods compared to digging on a field. Great that you found your GPS receiver. Fortunately, I just lost my toothbrush on the field, but no expensive tool :)
Best regards and Gut Fund
Chris
+Chris Görk hello chris,
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear that! the romans are always outstanding finds for me! yes, it makes a big difference to detect on plowed land. . .you saw the difference between wood and field in terms of find rate :) I love to detect woodland though! It makes a nice change and it is mystical ;)
I had a big fight to find the gps again. . I just couldn't quit on this one. . .
thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
all the best, GL&HH
hans
My father came to usafromgermany love to see thecountry
Those iron artifacts are very important, most iron objects were recycled throughout history. It is good that you are finding iron objects of that age and that they are being preserved.
+Spear Brave hello my friend. . .you said it! most detectorists use high discrimination levels to ignore iron. . I love my iron finds and you can find fantastic things!
thank you for watching and for your kind comment!
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans. Not found a Roman coin yet, and you found 4 in one day, that's not fair...LOL
Some nice finds Hans, looked a good day weather wise also.

LG,
hans
Another great episode! Glad you got your gps back. I found my first gold ring at the beach the other week, first real treasure. Always inspired by your videos and I want to find a gold nugget next as you suggested I should, since I can't get the old Roman relics like you can.
+Peter hello peter,
thank you my friend, I'm happy to hear you like it! congrats on your gold ring! what a fantastic find! i keep my fingers crossed for your to find a huge nugget soon :)
thank you for watching!
all the best,
hans
LG,
hans
Germany is so beautiful. I miss Hanau
I'm happy to hear that :)
So sorry you lost the GPS and had to search diligently to find it. But you have some terrific finds on this search. Love the stirrup and the other artifact.
I lost hope and wanted to quit searching at one point but then something told me to continue.. I'm glad I did. thank you for watching my friend :)
Wirklich Super Funde :-)
LG,
hans
nice vid and finds again hans, the best one being your gps! which no doubt will be on a lanyard now.atb john.
+john whitehead I definitely spent most of the time to find my gps and I'm so happy that I was able to find it again. . would have been a shame and quite pricey!
thank you for watching :)
all the best,
hans
dude i just came across your channel like 2 hours ago and all i've done is watch your videos since then...SO GREAT! id love to get out and detect right now but the ground is too hard here at the moment...god watching your videos reminds me of my summers the past 3 year...i was born in croatia , love metal detecting there SOOO many great finds...people think the UK has the best stuff, but they are so wrong..only reason why they think that is because metal detecting in most EU countries is outlawed....just imagine what kinda stuff someone could find in Orléans or on the outskirts or Rouen...or OMG I CANT IMAGINE what types of riches are in the fields of Spain (md'ing strictly forbidden without license which is hella hard to get, virtually impossible for someone like me (US))...its such a shame, and really is so BACKWARDS...what benefit does a country have if it insists on making sure it's riches remain buried..SO BAFFLING
+Vu1n S33k3r hello!
welcome on my channel and thank you for watching my videos! I'm happy to hear you like them!
sorry to hear that you can't go detecting at the moment. . wish you better weather soon!
europe is a great place for metal detecting! you can find amazing things in all european countries. . .the reason why some countries have strict metal detecting laws is not that they don't want the things to be found. the reason is that they don't want to have people who dig the finds willy-nilly and destroy the most important part of the finds. . the find context...here in germany you have to absolve a course that teaches you how to treat finds and what to dig and what not. . .I think that's the best way to do it and both parties benefit from that :)
all the best,
hans
+TerraGermania Well, that's too bad....:( Quickest way to a man's heart, is not through his stomach, but through his hobby.
haha. . probably right. .
Ciao , complimenti ottimi oggetti trovati :-)
+Iron Palazzo mille grazie :)
it is similar to what we call a cycle we used the cycle to cut. we call it a stirrup - to get up onto a horse.
Genial findet wie ublich Hans!
+eric land thank you my friend :) viele grüße und alles gute,
hans
Hans, glad to see you back on the fields again - more videos coming soon I imagine? :)

Stunning footage, what an amazing place. I love the music too, is it German medieval secular music? Glad you found your GPS and amazing finds. As always, thanks for sharing :)
+cake in the night hello my friend,
I'm glad you like the footage :) It was a very enjoyable and atmospheric day in the forest!
the music is from NotaBene: www.notabene-musik.de
they play music from the medieval europe.
thank you for watching and for your kind words! I'm so happy that I was able to find my gps again :)
all the best,
hans
Hi Hans, Love the way you presented your video, congratulations on the medieval stirrup. My oldest medaldetecting find is a bronze coin from the Han dinastey. I thought it was a medal washer ha ha. I'm kind of curious why the small tree behind you is bent in a half circle. 7:19 What do you think? Thanks H/H
hello my friend, thank you for your kind words about my videos, I'm happy to hear you like my presentation!
wow! are you from china?
I don't know what happened to the tree. . but I see tree like that quite often.
thank you for watching!
all the best,
hans
