Nice view of the sky at the beginning with the millions of stars! The wildlife shots were also very good & the night time pictures are also a lot better. Nice wee cameo from the cat at the end!
The best start to a bottle digging video I’ve ever watched. Those stars!! And the wildlife and some great finds too. Yes keep away from those stupid click bait titles like “time to quit?” 🙈. You stick to this kind of video and title it’s brilliant
Happy New Year, Tom! Thank you for including such lovely footage of the wildlife. I had to chuckle as you were digging on New Year's Day Eve - here on Treaty 6 lands in Western Canada, we will have to wait several more months to even think about digging into the dirt! -LOL! So many great finds - I understand why you are so particular about what you bring home but I have to ask if the brown bottle had bubbles in the glass or was it just the contents that made it look like that? I thought it was such a lovely bottle!
The bit about dancing every time a bottle comes out and silly novelty clickbait nonsense made me laugh 😂 The leather cement and that beer are stunners!
Happy New Year Tom! New camera is the biz!! That Castleford beer was quite unusual with its little stubby neck. Good luck for 2025 - looking forward to seeing more of your vids 👍
Happy New Year Tom. Great to see another fabulous video. Camera's really top notch. Lovely trail cam film too. All those animals in one night, wow. Also, its great to meet your new kitty cat with it's alluring facial hair. Looking forward to your next video. TTFN 😊😊
Thanks! There's no flickering at all on the insta all the flickering bits are still filmed on my mobile. i cant use my insta for everything at the minute the lense is wide angle and close up it makes the bottles look bent and out of proportion. I need to purchase an adaptor lens that will bring the field of view a bit closer then ill be using the inta for everything ! TH-cam at the minute the maximum resolution you can film at is 4k the insta can actually film a 8k twice the resolution again
Sorry mate ill have to admit my first year of digging and finding all these beautiful different bottles i was a proper pssshhhh my knickers hahaha.. finding pot lids and my first cod bottle sticks out. Like my first hammerds metaldetecting.. kind of miss that feeling now you know as im thinking about it.. but great video Tom some real nice finds on this one. Happy new year fella💪🏻👍🏼👍🏼
You need a good old fashioned incandescent 🔦. LED lights flicker. If the rate of flicker isn't matched perfectly to your camera sensor, you get flashing and interference lines in your final video.
Happy New Year Tom, great finds, I've not seen anyone dig up a bottle from Castleford before, there's not much of Jessop Street left in Castleford, its where the old police station is, they bulldozed most of that area to build a shopping centre in 1991, the old police station is still there but not open anymore I think the building is up for sale.
Bullet was a training one, dummy, inert. Used by cadet forces and civil defence volunteers ( holes in the sides and no percussion cap in the base. Nice bit of history. All the best for 2025 Tom 👍.
Loving the new intro Tom, nice and chilled, laid back. Also you should try using a head torch with a warmer color temp, it's easier on the eyes, doesn't bleach/white out your eyes, or camera and brings up the true colors of things, especially reds and browns. Some thing around 4000k to 4500k color temp would be perfect.
bloody lovely stuff. bigg & co wins it for me (its the bubbles that tips it) but that beehive beer is a gem also. shame the pig didn't make the cut. promising start to the year

It’s a .303 bullet Tom. I found one once in a dump. 👍
The beer content was likely as impressive as the embossed bottles.
Glass pig is absolutely amazing, if you end up wanting to sell it please can you let me know 😆
Brill video Tom. What trailcam are you using. They were great shots!

Fucking hell. I hope you don't get copyright struck for Speyside because it's a song of the century for me
Happy new year Tom. You seem to be living the life, an old soul after my own heart. Shame I can't find a decent Scottish tip haha
