Hello everyone! I know this is a bit of a random video, but I’m gonna be out of town for a while and wanted to get out a couple of easy-to-make videos so there’s not another drought on the channel, so if you’re interested, expect a related follow-up video to this one on Saturday. After that, I’ve got a special video for Halloween and Carnivores’ 25th anniversary planned, as well as a video on Prehistoric Hunt, and mod showcases for Cordelia, Archipelagos, and Fallen Kings MEE releases, so stay tuned for those!
Lad do you think we the community can mod the game upload it on MOD DB like the original game? cause you mention that you downloaded a mod of the gallimimus. Or could we could find a way to have a free version on steamgg then mod it?

It's sad that Dinosaur Hunt got abandoned like the previous games in the reboot series. Hopefully, videos like this (and hopefully the war in Ukraine being over) will let the developers know that people want to see this game be successful and will love to see it get updated.

If they don’t already know how much fans want the game to be successful, then I doubt videos like this will show them :/ Just an unfortunate combination of sad circumstances with these games…

It’s sad to see what happened with Dinosaur Hunt. I was really hoping it would be different this time, but I should’ve seen this coming. It’s incredible how the community has done more with this franchise than those who actually own it and profit off it. The skins/variants you’ve created are all incredible, and it’s very disappointing that Carnivores has been abandoned yet again.
Also for anyone who even remembers the whole mac fiasco I got another computer so yay I’m back to modded Carnivores

I'm pretty salty that they relaunched the game only to abandon it shortly later XD Like c'mon! These games have a smallish, but very dedicated fanbase and it sucks because I feel like they where very mislead.
An incredible idea for a mechanic is that they set up baby dinosaurs which, when you kill them, will deduct points and that the parents, for obvious reasons, will hunt you down to kill you. This would also apply to the eggs.

I think it would be interesting if, in an perfect scenario, that parasaurolophus, ceratosaurus and triceratops had alternative horn and crest morphs like how deer and other cervids have bizarre antlers I've seen at cabela's in san antonio.

Your hypothetical "Enchi" skins for the Tyrannosaurus reminds me of the Nanotyrannus from Carnivores: Cityscape. Plus seeing a Carnivores Tyrannosaurus female being bigger than the male has been something I knew would fit well into the series for a while official or not since these games have the dinosaurs based off of older depictions.

This series kinda reminds me of jurassic park in the sense where the old media and fan content are the staple of the series that everyone wishes would come back. Just to be let down after let down by the reboots by the official sources. Where we talk about how good it could be/could've been.

Saurian Target always outdone himself with these Dinosaur designs. My favorites are all of them but my ultimate favorites are the Vanilla trikes and Pastel T-rexs. Oh and by the way are you still thinking about making that Primal Prey and Carnivores Dinosaur Hunter Hd comparison video.

Wow did they really relaunch the game only to abandon it shortly after? :( I really like your ideas for color variants and sexual dimorphism... especially the rare ones really giving you a cool 'goal' dinosaur to hunt for and encouraging replay. I feel like color variants could have easily been something the devs did as a bare minimum., but I guess not.

Your love and passion for this franchise is so contagious bro. You’ll make vids like these and it’ll have me making up scenarios in my head and I’ll be thinking of how they could be incorporated into the carnivores universe.
(I’ve never played the originals, just the mobile ports, so I tend to look at content from the franchise from more of an “storytelling” POV cuz I’d watch gameplay. I mean yeah, not much of the usual kind of storytelling, but the first two games def had some environmental clues that created a kinda mystery to some of the areas and I wish they would’ve kept that for the latest game)

Glad you like the concepts! Yeah, I feel like this game was strike 3, the devs are really gonna have to pull off something big to win our trust back after this.
I wish they would just bring back the mutant dinosaurs but they probably wouldn't since the community hates them which sucks for me cause I actually like their designs.
Here’s hoping when they get MFL2 out next year they come back to DH, I’m really scared of history repeating itself for a 3rd time.

Today has been a shitty day for me but what surprise did i get when I came back home to see that you uploaded a new video, Its really interesting to see all the potential this game really has. Seeing that the developers have pretty much abandon it for now I hope that the steam version can get modded and once again the community might have the chance to revive our favorite dinosaur saga. Looking forward to that Hallowen Special, thanks for the video and brighting my day!

Dilophosaurus is for increasing the amount of Jurassic dinosaurs.

I'd love to have seen elder variants or battle damaged variants just out there in the world, I kinda headcanon the mutant dinosaurs as just elderly animals and they r what these alien species become with age, looking less and less like the dinosaurs we know them as

What about the new dinosaurs like any raptors, sauropods, therizinosaurians, pachycephalosaurs, etc?
They can only redesigned the dinosaur dimorfism, not do own models if i understanded
Ideally, they’d get this treatment too, but I just wanted to do this for the dinosaurs already in the game, since they’re already modeled and animated.

I’m honestly not sure how it would work… installing individual dinosaur files (like the reskin Gallimimus) are super simple, but as for a whole mod… well, we’re not there yet, so that might be something to worry about later on once (if) modding becomes more accessible for the game
Digital Dreams doesn't deserve the absolutely dedicated and intuitive fanbase they obtained with the Carnivores license, and I really do wish that they could just sell it to someone who *could* do it better - admittedly I'm not even sure how much money they make off the mobile ports of as today. Truly a franchise kept alive solely through fan projects and modding scenes.
True… given how little work the developers put into Carnivores these days, I wonder if it’s even worth it to them to keep it…

They definitely don't make money off of it so I don't understand why they don't just give it to someone else. The game is so simple that a single individual could make a legit change for the better.
Not to mention they're the only individuals who have a game like this. If they actually doubled down on this they'd have the entire dinosaur community to profit from. There is no audience for the Mutant Football League.

Such a shame that Dinosaur Hunt got abandoned. It seemed like it had potential, but instead the developers abandoned it, looks like I will never see a Carnivores Reboot-styled Spinosaurus. I hope the modding in Dinosaur Hunt will allow us to add new species in the game.

Because I'm a game developer and server owner ( for samp server ), I wanted to start my company where I would create with my friends and next members: games, servers and remasters of great games! ( which includes Carnivores of course). I will be making Carnivores remasters. Of course I cant start the development right now because Im still making gta sa multiplayer server, which will be revolutionarie. So I will make the remaster when the time comes. I will make discord server and there will be a website which will be named after the server Exotic Airlines. So be ready for the beautifull remaster od this legendary game!
P. S. I may need help with upgradeing the story, so you could help me :)
History: Why I love Carnivores?
Well long story short when I was little my mum found out about this game where you can hunt dinosaurus and ice age creatures. So my first Carnivores was Ice age. And I loved it, its cool arcade like game and I had a lot of fun ( Still getting ptsd from that yeti), so I got even more interested in the game and community it has. So I found about originals, mods ( triassic is my fav) and your youtube channel! And I fell in love with the game and content of the community. So I tought.... Why not upgrade it? Its like 2023 and the game was made back in the 90s. Thats why I started my development adventures and other things like that. Because I wanted to show new generations some of the great classics and adapt them to the new standards. I want to create masterpieces with great people! So thats why I want to make the remaster of Carnivores.

Something to note about the parasaurs saurian is that P. cyrtocristatus was actually far larger then P. walkeri, with the individual cyrtocristatus specimen everybody typically thinks of in reference to the species being immature and NOT a female individual.
Sexual dimorphism in parasaurs (and by extension, hadrosaurs as a whole) likely didn't have much to do with the crests of the animal (at least in terms of the bone itself) as it was a tool used for communication by both sexes fairly equally and with the number of adult specimens we have with crests preserved, non of the ones in the same species show much if any significant morphological differences to one another.
But of course this is carnivores so earth logic doesn't really apply here. It is a bit unfortunate though that most media when doing sexual dimorphism kinda just make the females the "boring" ones, often (especially with para in particular) diminishes or removes the key feature/s of the animal. These are still great concepts and its a shame the game died so quickly (not surprised honestly).
Ayy good to hear from you, Daub! Ooh ye I more meant that because some people once thought P. cyrtocristatus was a female, that it would be a fun, outdated concept for the FMM Para 😅
But! I didn’t know that about sexual dimorphism in hadrosaurs, but it makes sense, considering the crests are more functional than just display.
The developers don’t really have to update the game at this point, just add mod support and the community will take everything over by itself
That would be the best thing for them to do at this point, but they’ve already confirmed they won’t be adding mod support for the foreseeable future 🙃

Did Digital Dreams just flat-out confess they've given up on the game? Staying safe in Ukraine is very much a given of course. I downloaded the DLC, and good god are they bullet sponges.
So much so that I turned the radar back on so I can avoid the Giga and Carno.

Jungle Tyrannosaurus Rex Male And Female
An idea for the albino skins are each albino dinosaur will give you an achievement that says "You killed an albino blank in carnivores!" Another idea is that the albinos will give you 15 extra points since there so rare the last idea would be an achievement that you get for killing 100 albino blank that says "youve killed 100 blank that were albino!" But seeing the game abandoned its so flippin obvious that they wouldnt do this at all but i hops this is some what of a good idea to you (its a really bad idea*)
