The suggestion for adjusting the dinosaurs' hitboxes to be able to reach you on rocks or cliffs that THEY can reach is perfect! Plus the Velociraptor idea where they can jump up with you is fantastic! We're going to unintentionally (or intentionally) recreate a lot of "clever girl" scenes if this was put into the game.
Just an add-on to the above comment: I’ve noticed that when the dinos don’t clip through the rocks you’re on top of and instantly kill you, they already run in circles around the ledge or rock that you’re on. That’s effectively how I got my first Tyrannosaurus lol

I mentioned this in a previous vid but I'd love to have a crocodilian and another flyer in the game. The spinosaurus would have to be able to wander around, but a crocodilian could be coded to stay within its small ponds and skulk around in wetland areas. Would make world traversal a bit more dangerous, as you might have to either walk around waterbodies and waste time or risk getting your toes nipped off. As for the flyer, I'd love something that's a bit closer to the ground than the pteranodons are, maybe something like confuciusornis, which could dart between trees just overhead. If you reskinned it a few times to represent different species, I think it would be incredible for bringing the treetops alive
Some kind of crocodilian would definitely make hunting around water more tense. It’d be pretty crazy to get to hunt a Deinosuchus or Sarcosuchus!

Here are some of my personal ideas:
Carnotaurus: (These creatures are primitive brutes who are extremely agressive, as they tend to charge straight into battle with little to no regard of their own safety. Almost as if the species are always in a endless stage of blind rage.)
Dilophosaurus: (While the Dilo has made plenty of apperances in mods, it would be nice to see such a fan favorite dinosaur make it's debut in an offical Carnivores game.)
Compsognathus: (A new ambient dinosaur that could spawn in small swarms around dinosaur carcasses as mentioned in an earlier video.)
Birds: (I think having flocks of birds fly away from the treetops in a panic when firing a load weapon would breathe more life in the game.)
Dimorphodon: (Having another pterosaur in the game would be nice, but instead of flying high in the sky these little guys would glide from tree to tree.)
Crocodiles: (These would be aggressive ambient creatures that bask by water sources. I imagine that they'd only chase you to a certain distance away from the water only to return to their spots.)
Fish: (Seeing fish spawn in water would just add so much more life to the game. I imagine Digital Dreams would have to make water sources deeper which I would be all in for cause realisticly, I doubt these islands could even keep these creatures hydrated due to how large they are and just how shallow these pools are, like they'd be dry in maybe in a day or two with how many large dinosaurs there are. I also just wanna see Spinos fishing.)
Iguanodon: (I just want an excuse to see the hunter get gorged.)
These would really breath a lot of life into the game and make it feel like a flourishing world

triops! It could be a animal that only Spawns when you have unlocked all the equipment add-ons, maps, and dinos. It Could Grab at you with big pointed arms and it’s calls could be The sound of it mimicking a Dying Hunter.

One thing that could be added is that possibly that when you unlock the pro license you would also unlock a rare and expensive bonus animal to hunt or you could unlock this bonus animal via getting a certain number of kills of each dinosaur either way works In my opinion. Also since we're in the topic of new dinosaur concepts I would also say that for the ambient animals they could be utilised for a purpose for the hunter like shooting a gallimimus and then waiting for a carnivore to eat it soon this case maybe digital dreams can make carnivores eat ambient animals too.

All of this would be pretty good! I'd like to see them add 2 small carnivores and 1 medium carnivore. While also adding 2 smaller herbivores. My choices would be Velociraptor/ Dinonychus and Dilophosaurus for small, and Allosaurus for the medium. With Pachycephalosaur and Saurolophus for the herbivores.
I do believe we could use more ambient dinos, but you covered most of what we could want there.

A great video to cover some of the ideas for the first possible concepts to come to Dinosaur Hunt. I do like the idea a lot of bringing everything that was back in the OG games forward first to almost fatten Dinosaur Hunt up to a broader game first. The Brachiosaur I think might run into some technical troubles on the Great Forest given the amount of hills and slopes and trees for how the feet might be placed as it climbs, but it might do well on the other two maps. It would be cool to see the game truly as a modern remaster of the Carnivores Classic games and could open up to making small DLCs where you have other new dinosaurs tied to new maps like how Call of the Wild operates. A very comprehensive video and a lot of great points included in it!
An interesting idea I had was to make a skittish carnivore. Maybe something like celophysis or compsognathus. That kinda works like the grunts from halo. They would be pack hunters that If you kill enough of them the rest would run away. Only attacking you if they have the numbers to do so.
Say you have a pack of 3 and you kill 2. Then the last one would run away from you. Or a pack of 6 and you kill 4 then the last 2 will run away and so on.

I don’t even know if this would be possible due to possible license and copyright reasons, but I think it would be awesome if the hybrids from the Jurassic franchise (or at least one of them) was added to the game. (The Indominus Rex, Indoraptor, and/or Scorpios Rex.)
I wasn’t so sure of this idea at first, but then I started to realize what kind of cool game mechanics could possibly come with this.
Each Hybrid has a unique ability. The Indominus Rex could camouflage and temporarily hide from the tracker that the hunter uses. The Indoraptor could use echolocation to detect the hunter more quickly than a standard ceratosaurus or t rex. The Scorpios Rex could use it’s quills from its tail to poison the hunter.
The game could also have new maps with these ideas as well for example, you could have the Lockwood manner mansion and some of the forest around it as a hunting map for the Indoraptor.
You might be able to also have new equipment such as the antidote for the Scorpios Rex poison. But like all other equipment, it could decrease the value of the kill.
I hope this idea didn’t sound too ridiculous to anyone reading this. It was just an idea that came to my head not long ago and I just had to tell everyone even though it may or may not be done. Who knows?
If the following idea sounds just too bizarre, then a more viable hope that I have for the game would be either the Spinosaurus or the giganotosaurus being added to the game.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up on seeing Jurassic World hybrids in the game, but I’m sure the same concepts could be applied to original mutant dinosaurs or something
If they do add new dinos ito the game i think some carnivores wud be a good start since there are only 2 carnivores in the game right now maby spino and raptor wud be amazing

I would definitly love to see the Pachy, Allo, Raptor and Spino. The Brachiosaurus and Oviraptor can be added as well, but as ambient animals, since it would be bullet wasting to bring a Brachi down and because the Oviraptor is more of a egg eater then a carnivore.
I, personally, would love it if the developers add these animals to the hunting roster:
- Carnotaurus
- Prestosuchus
- Shantungosaurus
- Therizinosaurus
- Styracosaurus
If I would choose for some ambients, I think the Psittacosaurus and another pterosaur like the Quetzalcoatlus would fit just fine.
The Carno and the Theri are definitely some popular picks!
I'd really love to see the Allosaurus and Spino make a return. Allosaurus scared the hell out of me when I first started playing Carnivores in the 90s and the Spinosaurus has been my favorite dinosaur ever since Jurassic Park 3 came out.
Would also love some Ice Age animals added, but perhaps that'd be best saved for a new game. I would love to hunt the Yeti again.
Monster Hunter World has the large monsters feed off of either map carcasses or small monsters rather than each other so at least one game out there has that covered, using the ambient dinosaurs as a means to bait/flush out licensed dinosaurs seems like it would be perfectly manageable outside of if they implemented specific animations or such.
I agree with video 100% how about Special map dinos ? Snow map has a yeti . Plains with "long necks " . Foggy areas ,when having fog apper during dawn or dusk if we get time change in game implemented , we get a special vations. Big bugs like scorpions in the sand areas . I would love to see kill scenes as well.

What if on certain maps there would be one or 2 nesting grounds where at least three herbivores of the same type would be, however instead of running away they would attack when you get too close, also another ambient dino or huntable dino would be found near these nesting grounds, oviraptor

I don't know if I would like a big Spinosaurus. One thing I love about the Carnivores games is that their dinos are so diferent from 90s pop culture dinos, the small, agile yet larger and bulkier than the raptor Spinosaurus played a large part in that and I would like it to return in a similar fashion. Maybe, since there is no Velociraptor yet, the Spinosaurus could fill said niche without the pack-hunting mechanic and be a little bit bigger than the raptor, later they could add the actually more dangerous Velociraptor (due to pack-hunting, primary).
I definitely understand that feeling, but since the Carnivores reboots have adopted the 90s pop culture aesthetic, it might seem out of place to have the new dinosaurs reverting back to the classic style while the old ones remain in the current style. Might be another clash of aesthetics like the mobile ports again :/
@@SaurianTarget Yeah, but one can adapt the small Spinosaurus into this new style. After all, that Spinosaurus only exist inside Carnivores. It isn't really a thing anywhere else and gives Carnivores a little bit more of it's own identity.
Have a dangerous flying creature such as a Quetzal to spice up the danger of the game and solve the hiding on rock dilemma , you either be safe on a rock to stay away form dangerous dinosaur but you would attract the attention of a Quetzal and vice versa

Brachiosaurus being brought back as an ambient would be a nice call back to Carnivores 2 and I agree on not making it invincible. Now as far as fitting the animal into the trophy room, Digital Dreams could simply expand on the existing one and add in extra spots that are bigger to accommodate large sauropods like Brachiosaurus.
I'd definitely love to see some more ambient creatures especially some dangerous ones
I personally wouldn't make the game's Spinosaurus associated with the water. It makes it too Earth-like in my opinion. I like the original game's smaller and sleeker, almost raptor or allosaurus-like build
I don't think a spino should be bigger than a rex, since that really isn't the case in real life. I know these games don't strive for 100% paleontological realism, but they do try a little bit and respecting the science when it comes to dinosaurs is important when treating them as real animals.

The perfect weapon to fight a raptor in close Quarters!
(New fast and agile dinosaur with a new CQC weapon to hunt it)
Or a Carnivore + Herbivore DLC combo.
For example a DLC called "Spined lizards dlc" Ouranosaurus + Spinosaurus combo! two unique spined dinossaurs for you to hunt!
(One will run away from you on sight, the other one will totally destroy and hunt you down on sight.)

And I would really like to see drepanosaurus slowly crawling up trees on delphaeus hills and the oasis areas of basmachee rocks
Or sharovipteryx gliding tree to tree on the same 2 maps
And maby scleromochlus bouncing around the open deserts of basmachee rocks
And
Quetzalcoatlus flying way higher up in the sky then the pteranodon but every once in awhile you might see it purch on the tall mountains on basmachee rocks
Overall a really solid selection, though I do have a suggestion for ONE point, though this would be changing a canon dinosaur so please bear with me. Have Deinonychus take the role of the man-sized huntable carnivore, and have Velociraptor be a dangerous, pack-hunting ambient. Besides the oversized Velociraptor being a long outdated depiction, this creates 2 separate niches while having distinct carnivores in the game. Deinonychus can function as you suggested in the video, able to leap onto boulders hunters climb onto but be a solitary predator, to prevent hunting them being too difficult. Velociraptor being an ambient pack-hunter creates a new niche as you could hear a pack chittering off in the distance, and the pack could be startled by gunshots or actively chase you down, maybe even stalk the player and closing the distance when close to catch unwary hunters off guard. To balance this, the Velociraptors can require just 1 or 2 shots from the side arm to take out, and only taking out 2 or 3 of them would cause the rest of the pack to flee. In addition, there would need to be at least 3 Velociraptors in an active pack to take down a player, any less and they would run away, too small and frail to risk taking on a human by themselves.
Hope this suggestion goes over well, I just thought it would be a fun way to break up an pop culture blunder while implementing proper gameplay to differentiate them.

once again, i agree with the Velociraptor (i think a pack of 3 should be enough) and the Spinosaurus (they might want to expand the maps so they can expand and deepen the lakes and add fish).
and i agree with adding Pachycephalosaurus, Oviraptor and Allosaurus.
my only disagreement being Allosaurus hunting in pairs. it's a tad too large to do that.
and once again i insist on adding Sinraptor and Dilophosaurus (and we also need more herbivores from the Jurassic. Camptosaurus should do the trick).
Sinraptor because he's both a reference to a mod (the Genesis mod, he replaces Ceratosaurus). i believe mods don't get enough credit anymore and it would be nice to reference at least one of them. and also because he'd be another not-well-known dinosaur. let's face it, Pelecanimimus isn't a dinosaur anyone could recognize (not at first glance, at least. i though he was a Compsognathus), so why not add a *huntable* dinosaur that isn't well recognized.
and Dilophosaurus because he's a *small* predator (relatively speaking) from the *Jurassic.* Velociraptor will be the small dino that hunts in a pack, so i argue that Dilophosaurus should be the "small" dino to hunt alone.
this is what i like to see about brachiosaurus
The main thing I want to see is ambient animals, since they make the world seem way more alive and vibrant. So along with the ambients you mentioned id love to see a small mammal (Didelphodon or Repenomamus), a low flying bird or pterosaur (Dimorphodon, Anchiornis, Rhamphorhynchus, or ichthyornis, and some aquatic life. Maybe we could see distant plesiosaurs, mosasaurs, and ichthyosaurs surfacing in the distance in coastal areas, and maybe have bodies of them spawn on the beach as washed up carcasses that would attract predators. Maybe even seeing distant are events such as mosasaurs leaping to catch pteranodons, Ichthyosaurs leaping like dolphins, or the slim, snake like necks of a pod of plesiosaurs playing far out in the sea. These wouldn't be game changing, but would do wonders in making the (in my opinion) generic and lifeless world of the carnivores reboot trilogy feel much more alive and interesting

If the allo would be a middle ground between the cerato and rex, than I think adding dilophosaurus as a middle ground between the raptor and ceratosaurus could work.

Hey I'm a new subscriber and I was wondering if you ever played the Dino Crisis series since...yah know...Dino in the name? Sure they're not in first person but they share a lot with the Carnivores series, the first encapsulates the dread of going up against these animals that are stronger than you and outsmarting them and the 2nd pulls an Aliens and goes in guns blazing, and from your Cityscape review I believe it's exactly what you wanted from that game; a more linear experience branching from the original in a more plot and action heavy gameplay but unlike Cityscape actually manages to tell an engrossing tale and is fun to play.
Just a recommendation if you've never heard of them.
Edit: There is a third but it jumps the shark by having nothing to do with the prior and featuring massive biological monstrosities....IN SPPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCEEEE!
Hey, welcome aboard and thanks for the suggestion! I’ve always respected the Dino Crisis games and found the concept really fascinating, but just haven’t gotten around to playing them. I’d like to someday though, I hear nothing but good things about them.

I have a concept (although it was probably not in the old carnivores games because I've never played them) is them adding Cacaradontosaurus and/or acrocanthosaurus (also let me know if I spell Cacara wrong)
Good choices there, flying creatures that could be hunted would also be good. They can be shot and fall to the ground so it would be an easy one to do. A big cross pterodactyl wouldn't care what size rock you stood on.

Hey saurian, when will it reach the diversity in the mobile game? 1 year or 2 years? Do you have any thoughts?They say that we are making it easy to add because of the game engine, but there is still no August update.
The August update just got announced about an hour ago! It's scheduled for August 25th at 9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT, and 6:00 PM CEST. Apparently the patch notes will be released along with the update.
@TangleMangle The only thing I've seen is for the Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunt game on Xbox, PS4, and Switch from the official FB page. I'm unsure of the status on the mobile port. Sorry my dude, I should have specified.

I think it would be nice to have another flying reptile that flies closer to the ground. Maybe a smaller pterosaur like Dimorphodon would work well.

Y’know what dinosaur I would love to see in this game? Therizinosaurus. I’m thinkin’ Advanced Rank, capable of tearing down trees and impaling large animals with its claws, with a temperament akin to, I don’t know, Master Tigress- risky to approach, can inflict heavy damage, can keep its aggression in check unless provoked.

Oh man, Yeah i'd really like to see the Pachycephalosaurus back! I miss that fella! (and that call tho). I agree that it would be cool to have it as an "aggressive if provoked" type dinosaur that you'd have to be careful with. Always good to see herbivores not portrayed as wimps.
One thing I'm not interested in seeing are JP 'raptor' copies. Dino-media has done this to death and the paleo-community is just really over it. I can understand with the original Carnivores 2 as they gotta get on the JP:TLW hype ( they resemble the male raptors), but it's overstayed it welcome at this point. If they want to to a big Dromaeosaur... It's would be cool to see a Austroraptor as they have a very unique appearance that would stick out from the other carnivores. Just my 2 cents.
But anyway... Yes! add Allosaurus and def give it the love it deserves! Add our classic fave ambient dinosaurs back too! Lets do this!!!

These ideas tie more into variants but I still find them interesting. I'm thinking of things like sexual dimorphism where some dinosaurs have differences between genders. Some maybe subtle and barley noticeable like just a size difference. Others include exaggerated features and colors like male Parasaurs having colorful stripes on their crests or male Stegosaurus with larger, thicker plates with eye patterns. There could also be ontogeny since we know Earth dinosaurs change dramatically as they aged, so why not FMM UV 32 dinos, like young Tyrannosaurus have longer legs and thinner snouts than the adults or baby Triceratops with tiny horns and frills. This can be an added feature if herding gets added along with a penalty for killing young dinosaurs where you lose gems in a hunts. There could also be exclusive (sub)species tied to certain maps with Basmashee Rocks have a unique Parasaur that looks like the mutant para from reborn(We know you're doing the same for Genesis Saurian, it's actually a better idea than calling mutated) or an green Iguana like T.Rex specific to Delpheus hills. As completely new animals, perhaps dinosaur designed in the vain of vintage paleo art that lore wise are the last reminents of a more primative world and maybe act as nice nod to original Carnivores games art style if they choose any of burians designs. For non Burian styled creatures, I'd go with a Crystal Palace Iguanodon that's around the same size a T.Rex and acts like a slightly more aggressive Trike with more health that can gore hunters with it's horn before trampling them. Such an animal could also function similarly to the Ice Age Yeti/Saurians concept Mantelladon and Reborn mutants where you unlock it through certain means but don't need a license to bring them back given how rare they are, or maybe have the hunter loose gems for killing one if he/she doesn't have a license. For ambients, perhaps some more pterasaurs to fulfill specific roles like a vulture esque Dimorphodon, an ox pecker Anuragnathid or the baleen flamingo itself Pterodaustro. There could also be tribal Troodon that aren't seen in game but are hinted at through out the maps. The idea behind Troodon is the notion that if the dinosaurs didn't go extinct, then dinosaurs like Troodon would take their place, so theoretically when the ancients of FMM UV 32 vanished, the Troodonids/raptors similar to Troodons of the planet probably moved in to take their place. One final idea I have for a new animal is a dinosaur based on some of the spec evo ideas for dinosaurs/animal like from Peter Jacksons King Kong or Dougal Dixons New Dinosaurs like dinosaur that evloved to resemble a flying squirrel or a pterasaur whose wing reverted to legs, perhaps even an ambient hypsilophodont or small therapod that resembles a pangolin. I'm not sure which of these ideas are more likely, but I'd wager the subspecies idea is the easier to implement while the spec evo and tribal troodons may not be high on a lot of peoples priority lists. But any idea could still work so long as it's well exicuted. Like with previous video, I could go on and on, but I think I've run through some of the better ideas.
New idea: A huntable flying reptile like Quetzalcoatlus. Big enough to justify putting it in the trophy room and can join velociraptor in "Anti Rock Invincibility" since, it can fly.
New New idea: A dinosaur that acts like a Lyre Bird where it mimics other animal calls. Maybe a small ambient animal or maybe even a dinosaur similar to Oviraptor/Velociraptor. This would add an additional challenge/danger in which the call replying to your dino decoy may not be what you're after. Whether it be a wild goose chase or IT'S A TRAP!
New New New idea: Saurian Brought this up in his Carnivores Genisis vid where he makes a venomous Dilo that acts like a Komodo Dragon where if you get bit and don't act quickly enough you die and loose all progress from the hunt. It doesn't have to be Dilophosaurus.

Contrary to what you want, I'd actually like to see dinosaurs locked to certain maps but only once they release more variety in maps and dinosaurs. I think it'd be cool for the maps with abundant water to have Spinos wondering around while areas without water wouldn't have any. I don't know if the game will ever make it that far but I'd really like to see them take the "You are on a part of the world and you'll only find Animals from that part of the world" style that The Hunter: Call of the Wild has. Example you won't find a moose on the African Savannah. If they did take that approach they could even copy models and just reskin and/or resize them to be different dinosaurs to match that area. Especially since more and more it's changing from Carnivores Alien dinosaurs being loosely based on our Dinosaurs to being more copies of them. It'd save a ton of dev time and would add a lot to the game. This would also open up the game to Ice age animals and other mega fauna while allowing for more world building on how the planet's environments are. They could release each map as DLC and add a select few new dinosaurs on that map while adding appropriately themed dinosaurs from previous dlc's or main game. It'd make every map very unique, would add a constant source of revenue from DLC, and leave room for them to expand in the future. Also: I'd love for them to add an easter egg where for a ton of points or if you input a code, it would change the skins of the dinosaurs to match their original carnivores models.
Contrary to the contrary belief (I’ve actually said this in a few videos before :P), I’m not opposed to map-specific dinosaurs, but the key to making it work is more variety. If you start restricting what we can hunt and you only have six dinosaurs, it feels limiting for no reason. If Dinosaur Hunt had, like, 20+ dinosaurs, I’d have no problem with locking certain dinosaurs to certain maps, but because there’s only six, it’s always seemed arbitrarily restrictive to me.
@@SaurianTarget My bad for remembering it wrong. I totally agree. My main reason for not playing Dinosaur Hunt anymore is how little there is to do. Only having 6 Dinosaurs makes the game insainely repetitive. I hope they do new maps and new dinosaurs at the same time as DLC to bring people back into the game. It always works with the other hunting games I play. I'd love it if they had a tiny bit of story missions on each map too. Call of the wild does it well where when you start a new map you are introduced to the area, the native wild life and what they are doing there. This is all done through radio so no cut scenes. You'll be asked to do a few task like can you scout this area, kill x amount of something to cull population, collect a trophy animal of a certain quality for research, or set up a camp in a location. Itd be awesome if Carnivores ever introduced a similar mechanic but due to Carnivores map sizes I'm not sure how viable it is.
Totally agree. Honestly, I’d love it if they’d just introduce dinosaur variants and weapon skins, just a little baby step to take out some of the repetition and mix it up while we wait for actual, meaty new content. Missions would also be a fantastic way to alleviate that

Unpopular Opinion but the Ambient Animals I want in Dinosaur Hunt are Small Mammals. They could could in two ways: 1) Skittish Mammals that Portrayed the Stereotype of Underdogs like Alphadon or 2) Badger-size (and Niche) Mammals with a Defensive Attitude Towards Any Creatures like Repenomamus. A Huntable Herbivore I would Imagine is Lurdusaurus that could act as the Dinosaur Version of the Hippopotamus found Primarily in the Coast and a Huntable Carnivore would be Masiakasaurus a Strange Small Theropod that would Primarily eat Fish but will Attack Hunters if Spooked/Provoked and its Size would be Smaller than the C1 Velociraptor to Add Size Variety.

I've always thought that the Pachy and Raptor, along with the shotgun, is easily the most essential update to the roster the game could have. All the huntables are huge animals, and a small herbivore and carnivore would make the roster feel a little more complete, in my opinion. It's by far the biggest hole in the roster, and would certainly add more challenge, especially if they lived in groups.

If there was a few dinosaurs that I would love to see in Carnivores Dinosaur Hunt, I would go with the Carnotaurus being a medium predator that is bigger than the Ceratosaurus yet dwarfed by the T-rex. Giganotosaurus larger than the Rex, yet smaller than the Spino. And lastly, Carcharodontosaurus, a large predator that is a bit larger than the Giganotosaurus, but is still smaller than the Spinosaurus.
Another element that I would like to see is a size and color difference between the sexes of the dinosaurs, with the females being bigger and having darker coloration than the males while the males would have brighter coloration to impress the females
