Pastor Spots Gunmen in Church and Prays for Them

- Former police officer Marquaello Futrell, the pastor of All Creation Northview Holiness Family Church in Ferguson, Missouri, said he immediately noticed their waistbands as they entered the Sunday morning service on Feb. 12, 2023. Another member of the church later witnessed one of the individuals in the group dropping a firearm. Instead of causing panic among his congregation, Futrell continued with the scheduled service and promptly notified the police, also instructed church staff to ensure the safety of the children in the congregation and to record the faces of the men as potential evidence.

Those youngsters were probably brought up in church but loss their way somehow. They consented to the Pastor and the congregation praying for them.

...and it is quite possible they were not brought up in a building...but the Lord allowed them to enter through those doors...the Word of the Holy God does not come to condemn...but to "SAVE/PRESERVE" THE SOULS OF THE CHILDREN OF MEN!!! AMEN!!! AMEN!!!

Empathy is missing these days. Not just sympathy, but the ability to put oneself in the other person's shoes and identify with their pain. It's hard to be hateful when practicing empathy consistently

Hello I am David. I just wanted to respond to your message on here. It's very sensitive issues for a white man to comment on any subject involving culture and race. So many of my friends here in London who struggled with crime and drug issues told me that not having a father's influence or a strong male role model of colour in their lives was absolutely the most important lacking piece of the puzzle to show them the life they choose was only going to end in south destruction and misery. For me it's wonderful to see how my friends now take younger men with no direction and anger and show them friendship respect loyalty and community are always the things of value and are free . I live in a very multicultural area of London and I can see that the black community is really starting to understand that no help is coming the help is already here in everyone of the men who went through what they are going through and show them a better life path . I send you respect hope for a beautiful brighter world for all god's people are blessings in Jesus name 🙏❤️

Seeing young men being prayed over by the older generation is just so beautiful and such a good example for the black community
for EVERY community! It's not a skin color that leads our young men away, it's the devil and he doesn't care what color our outward body is! It's the blood of Jesus we all need and the older generation loving the younger and reaching out to them.
It's better for a man to have a milestone around his neck and fall deep into the seas then it is to mislead one of his children!

I remember when I first attended my church. I was a recovering homeless addict who had just got out of the army not too long before. The pastor introduced me to the church as a part of the church family. I didn’t feel alone for the first time. He showed me so much love just like this man is doing now. Now I’m 4 years clean and sober and I own my home. I pray these young men can receive god and his blessings.

When I was pregnant I was told by the pastor that I wasn’t allowed to join membership because the dad may live with me when he got out of Prison. Instead of helping me, I was shunned. I haven’t tried to join a church since. Actions and Consequences. This preacher is God’s voice for sure.

As important as it is to find a good church. You have to rember, a personal relationship with Jesus is the only thing that matters at the end of the day. We are taught to love. Ive been saying this a lot lately when people say build more jails u said no build community centers that actually have people kids can talk to, guide and emotionally connect with them. Give them school help job training etc. I went through hell in my life however I remember what I had b wish I had n now I wish I could help kids going through the same thing. My comments are towards the add about the mall. No I don't n won't believe in god n I have my reasons however I still love to help others if I can

I have known Marquello since he was a little boy. I know his aunt Laronda Futrell. Her Mom. Sydra Futrell was anointed, that lady had power from above. I have never seen anyone like her since. Her and my grandma were true believers. When Mrs Futrell passed the sky got so dark. My Lord. I instantly said someone good just died. And it was her. Power was all over and in her. Those boys already had people praying for them. That's what took them to church that day, to soften their hearts and open their eyes and ears to the love and redemption GOD is offering.

Whne I was maybe 10 or so. Was sitting in church during the sermon one Sunday morning and a guy my dad knew from school came walking in drunk as a skunk . Two deacons got up and was about to escort him out. The pastor stopped them and said “ no … bring him up here to me”. He sat him down on the front row. He hugged him. He introduced him to the congregation and he said “ our brother came in looking for something. Looking for our help. If we can’t do that with a cheerful voice and love in our hearts , shame on us. I’m not here to confirm the congregations salvation, I’m here to save the lost and help the sick . This man is both , anyone who has an issue with that can take it up with me in private later “. Church was silent. And a lady from the back got up and walked forward. She sat down beside him and held his hand …. Preacher Went back to the pulpit and went back to the sermon. Fast forward 3/4 years later and I was still in that church, and that man came and sat on the front row every single Sunday morning.
I’ll never forget that. Accepting someone and praying for them is a powerful thing.

The interesting part is this story is the anomaly. The exception not the rile. In the average church the deacons would have escorted the young man out. This means 90% of the churches need church themselves to remind them of the real purpose of church.
