If prayer worked then hospitals wouldn't exist and there would be no need for doctors, nurses, firefighters or much else for that matter. We could just pray and get what we need. In fact that's exactly what you could imagine a world would be like, had it been created by a benevolent deity, but ours is clearly not the case. In our world good things like in this church happen at the rate of chance, so attributing it to a god is irrational.

i had a church and my elders were people who were homeless without hope my deacons were recovering drug addicts i had taken in, the church was prospering in Gods mercy, he was blessing people, my church wasn't about money or cash flow everything was volunteer, it was his church, a church of healing a church where Christ ruled, i only had one rule and it was to the elders and deacons, unlike most churches today where the pastor has to bow to and organization backing the denomination demanding a cash flow quota, or threatening him with replacement, no i made it clear that they can suggest but the final decision falls on me, because Christ holds the pastor accountable for every soul that walks into that sanctuary and leaves unsaved, not the greedy organization or self-righteous elders! a simple way Christ put it was like this a warning to pastors beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, now these wolves in sheep's clothing are for the most part the elders the deacons/ and those among the congregation who pretend to pay the highest tilths these wolve dictate what will and won't be preached to them it's not about salvation it's all about cash flow, now the warning to the sheep is to beware of the prosperity wolves that have made merchandise of them without sparing a single one of them, that's the reality of being a pastor or part of the prosperity wolfpack, that's the simplicity of Scriptures and a warning to those of greed, if that man standing at the pulpit doesn't have you fearing Gods wrath and instead has you feeling justified of your wickedness, then he doesn't belong there, the new lie being preached from the pulpit is (Compromise) that Christ needs us more than we need him and that he will bow to our demands our perverse lifestyles and choices, and that he will turn away from his own word to keep them out of the fire! its a Hellish thing they are using to pull people into the fire with them
Actually my grandmother and aunt were held at gunpoint many years ago and they told the young man that they didn't have any money, so they took him to church, and the pastor prayed for him 💜 Praise God

My son works in the jail, he has a way of talking to inmates that has helped him a lot, he talk to them like they are human, gives advise, keeps his word to them and uses his humor. He said that some inmates have thanked him others say, nobody has ever explained life the way he has. These men need a strong father figure. One guy grabbed my son and cried his eyes out. I hope they keep ministering to these men. Pray my son accepts the Lord, he could be a powerful tool of the Lord in a place that needs light.
What your son is doing reminds me of the Biblical verse ... "and when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them "Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye have done it unto me." ( Matthew Chapter 25, verses 35-40 NSV )

I hope that this pastor & his team continue to reach out & minister to these boys while they're in jail/prison to help them get their lives together. These things don't happen by accident. I worked in a men's prison for over 10 years. These young men are absolutely DESPERATE for good, strong, fatherly role models to learn from & look up to. It would be nice if they could be there for them for spiritual as well as mental health support.

ONLY if someone or several someones give them a hand and a way out of that lifestyle after they serve their time in jail. This one-time showy display isn't enough. Some male leaders are going to need to step up and guide these young men on the right bath. Teach them to love and respect themselves, love Jesus, and teach them skills they can apply to earn a respectable living. I wish I could "adopt" them.
Yea they’re gonna be talking to other young men about this while in lock up and I only hope that they will give their lives to Christ and be a witness for him from now on! God love is so much more powerful then satans intentions!

They met face to face with real men of God, they have probably never met men like this before. I love how the men in church stood with the pastor in unity.
February 24th 2020. I was attacked in an unprovoked incident by 6 men aged 17-20. It caught me off guard and for a brief second I was convinced I was going to die. I did the only thing I could think of at that time, I literally said out loud, "God please protect me!" I was kicked and punched repeatedly but although I felt them and it hurt, it didn't do anything like as much damage as it should have done. I looked up and saw the 6 running away.
The name of Jesus has authority! Wow. Thank you, Lord for protecting this congregation and Pastor and touching those three young men. May this experience change their hearts and lives! You were there for them. Keep praying for your kids!
We need more stories like this! God will not let the enemy prevail and he will protect his children! Thank God for this pastor, for the congregation, and for the Holy Spirit moving in such a powerful way. Nobody was hurt and these 3 young men had a true God encounter and very well may have had their lives changed forever!

It warms my heart to see them surrounded by nothing but men who are praying for them. Clearly, they’ve lacked exactly what these men risked their lives to give to them. John 15:13… There is no greater gift than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
This was beautiful. I hope the Pastor reaches out to them and continues to speak to them. Although they had bad intent (probably hiding) they came to a place where the men worked together in unity and faith and showed them compassion and love. I believe if this congregation keeps up with them, and maintains a strong positive presence in their lives, I truly can be a beginning for them. This could be the moment that lead to them turning their lives around. I won't judge them, we don't know what upbringing they had and what their struggles are. Thank God though they had this encounter, it probably stopped them from doing worse things and ruining their lives. I pray this can be a point where they walk away from crime, and that through the help of God or others they find a better way to live their lives. May God also bless this Pastor and that church so they never lose the compassionate spirit and unity they displayed today.

I recognize that some gang members will bring a weapon to church as a safety measure during a gang war but, the fact that one of the dropped their gun on the floor while they were going over to pray for them means that he had been fingering his gun just before that, and no one takes a gun in hand unless they are considering using. This is a real miracle!

This is how it’s supposed to be! Lead by faith, not by sight. A number of years ago a man tried to rob and assault an old woman, but she rebuked him and prayed for him on the spot. He was so confused and scared that he dropped everything and ran, but I heard he got his life right and mentioned what changed him

God bless all these people. I love that the pastor gave God credit for the outcome, saying he was used by the Holy Spirit. God is so good. Only He knows why those guys ended up there and why they were able to feel true love and receive prayers from this congregation. I love that the men stood between the congregation and the young men carrying guns. Bravery such as that shows there are still good men who protect and show others what a good man is. These men are true heros in a country that needs role models.

Nothing like the power of Jesus name! Something similar happened to me in my retail store years ago, but I wasn't so calm. I screamed out Jesus, over and over again at the top of my lungs, and one of the guys sat down while the other one started talking about his grandmother. Then they left, but one came back and bought something. The next day I turned on the news and saw the one that came back and bought something had been arrested (I don't know what for because I was in shock just to see his face on the news.) God is a deliverer! Prayers for the salvation of those three young men!

Actually my grandmother and aunt were held at gunpoint many years ago and they told the young man that they didn't have any money, so they took him to church, and the pastor prayed for him 💜 Praise God

My son works in the jail, he has a way of talking to inmates that has helped him a lot, he talk to them like they are human, gives advise, keeps his word to them and uses his humor. He said that some inmates have thanked him others say, nobody has ever explained life the way he has. These men need a strong father figure. One guy grabbed my son and cried his eyes out. I hope they keep ministering to these men. Pray my son accepts the Lord, he could be a powerful tool of the Lord in a place that needs light.
What your son is doing reminds me of the Biblical verse ... "and when saw we thee sick or in prison and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them "Verily I say unto you inasmuch as ye did it unto one of these my brethren, even these least, ye have done it unto me." ( Matthew Chapter 25, verses 35-40 NSV )

ONLY if someone or several someones give them a hand and a way out of that lifestyle after they serve their time in jail. This one-time showy display isn't enough. Some male leaders are going to need to step up and guide these young men on the right bath. Teach them to love and respect themselves, love Jesus, and teach them skills they can apply to earn a respectable living. I wish I could "adopt" them.

February 24th 2020. I was attacked in an unprovoked incident by 6 men aged 17-20.
It caught me off guard and for a brief second I was convinced I was going to die.
I did the only thing I could think of at that time, I literally said out loud, "God please protect me!"
I was kicked and punched repeatedly but although I felt them and it hurt, it didn't do anything like as much damage as it should have done.

This was beautiful. I hope the Pastor reaches out to them and continues to speak to them. Although they had bad intent (probably hiding) they came to a place where the men worked together in unity and faith and showed them compassion and love. I believe if this congregation keeps up with them, and maintains a strong positive presence in their lives, I truly can be a beginning for them. This could be the moment that lead to them turning their lives around. I won't judge them, we don't know what upbringing they had and what their struggles are. Thank God though they had this encounter, it probably stopped them from doing worse things and ruining their lives. I pray this can be a point where they walk away from crime, and that through the help of God or others they find a better way to live their lives. May God also bless this Pastor and that church so they never lose the compassionate spirit and unity they displayed today.

The courage of the men in that church being led by their faith in God was on another level than earth. God bless them for using the faith to save their families and stop these young men from committing some terrible crime.

Nothing like the power of Jesus name! Something similar happened to me in my retail store years ago, but I wasn't so calm. I screamed out Jesus, over and over again at the top of my lungs, and one of the guys sat down while the other one started talking about his grandmother. Then they left, but one came back and bought something. The next day I turned on the news and saw the one that came back and bought something had been arrested (I don't know what for because I was in shock just to see his face on the news.) God is a deliverer! Prayers for the salvation of those three young men!
She shouldn’t have said that at the end, but this amazing Pastor handled it beautifully. She basically insulted the Holy Spirit and he turned right back to say how he was just led by the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah for those who understand, that all glory is His, and all who give it to Him are surely His!
No big surprise. That's to be expected from a person who works at FOX who along with coworkers have been creatively telling multiple lies for 2-1/2 years. Neither she, nor her coworkers have a reverential fear or understanding of God the Father, Jesus the Son & the Holy Spirit. The miracle is that God orchestrated everything and FOX was used to promote the Gospel. Won't HE do it?

I am so thankful for God showing me that there are still people that will trust in Him ! It brought tears of joy to my eyes and I immediately lifted those three young men up in prayer! If they will turn and seek God now and be saved they will have an awesome testimony and what amazing witnesses they will be now for Jesus Christ !!!

The Lord led them right to the "Police Pastor". I love how THE MEN were chosen to pray for them. There is some severe daddy hurt and trauma among them. This will change their lives. A "resurrection moment". 🙏🏾
