- Grammy-winning artist Mandisa, beloved for her uplifting Christian music and memorable journey on "American Idol," has died at the age of 47. The singer, who was found deceased in her home, leaves behind a legacy of hope and resilience, touching lives with her music that carried messages of faith and overcoming adversity. As the Christian community mourns her loss, we celebrate her faith-filled contributions and remember her courageous battle with depression, which she openly shared to encourage others in their struggles.

I cried when I heard she passed… I suffered with bouts of depression. I overcame the dark place through consistency with Yeshua Depression can be won. Constantly praise worship tarry believe forge the word where the eyes and heart can see it. Consistently done over 10 to 15 minutes everyday until your mind is reconditioned to have hope and Live . The key is to gain Hope. The hope of Yeshua

Her music helped me through an abusive divorce and I would sing her songs and play them over and over to get me through the day. I wish I had messaged her that when I thought to do it. Even just to let her know she helped. God tell her she helped me when you see her. 🙏

❤ I was with one of her spiritual mentors, David Buehring, the weekend she passed. He was speaking at a conference in Minnesota and he was heart broken. She was a very amazing person inside and out and she will be greatly missed by so many. ❤

This world is collapsing around us and all I can say is it’s so awful that she left us but heaven is filling up and that’s something we have to look forward to. She’s there with God. Her daddy said at her funeral, that she had covid and she had gotten up out of bed there were a bunch of rugs and she fell and was towards the left end of the bed her phone was on the right night stand. No way for her to call for help. She did not harm herself.🙏🏻
