If you have a RYTM, you definitely don't need an additional Alpha Base. They're both very capable and it's a matter of preference which one you use, so quit GASing already! 😊

I was thinking to my self, how can I get my hands on one of these and try it out, whoom to ask, which shops have it in Germany, and do they have a test room. I think - that I need to see for my self it's limitations when changing kit's n' patterns, and how is that viable/flawless. You intreseted me into it for real, with this setup(+DFAM). I Have DFAM and love it. Today I watched at least 2 to five videos about Jomox, will watch some more:)
@@HarisCupinaI had the chance to play with a Alpha Base at JustMusic in Berlin and that sealed the deal for me. I don't know if they still have a unit to play with. Maybe Schneiders Laden in Berlin?

Sound of the alpha base is first and foremost the sound of its filters, secondly it's the base drum. The samples you use really doesn't matter that much. You may even not use any samples at all and rely on filtering the resonance sound or noise (imo).

Hey someone with an AB and a DFAM! I've owned both but never at the same tie. You should use the DFAM to make some samples for the AB.

Does that mean, there is no patch out (CV/Gate...) possible into DFAMs (clock/...)? - I also planned to combine these 2 synths
There is CV clock in but there is no MIDI in. Alpha base can only send midi clock.

Note that in this video it went through A&H ZEDi 10 mixer so could've been slightly boosted with EQ, but not much for sure.

You can get really deep base with mbrane too. Also you may try layering mbrane on top of kick. I do that sometimes
