Sounds amazing. I couldn´t stop listening to set, really deep and trippy. I ended wanted more ☺ I am working in a new techno live set and still searching for the right gear, but I need the setup to be very hands on, in a live situation looking at menus kills the vibe. Do you think that the new Base Mk2 plus an external sequencer (like Torso, I want to generate sequences on the fly) and an external mixer (xone 96 probably, I like its flexibility and how playable it is) could be good complements to make the Base the center of that kind of very fast, hands on setup?
Just discovered your channel and also followed you on instagram. You should be paid by Jomox for those cool videos! What machine is doing the kick sound in the beginning? Kick or mbrane?
@@MaharadzaStunt thank you. The sound is so good. That was 100% what I was looking for as I am currently searching for my first drum machine. Btw: Would love to see more "beat from scratch" videos :)
Loved the sound of my XBase 999. Hated everything else about it - unpredictable encoder response, closed-source firmware, and condescending vendor support, all for which a premium price was asked. Something magical about getting lost in the sound for an hour or few... until it shits the bed and stops responding or a filter gets stuck open. Too many ideas stuffed into the limited heritage of the Airbase09 user interface and control electronics. It's real good to hear a jam of that again though as I sold long ago and still miss that fucked up piece of kit. Nice sesh! Thanks for sharing.
Well, mine seems solid so far. I've had it for about a month and the previous owner had it for 3 years. No major problems and I actually like the workflow (although it does feel a little clumsy at times). Sometimes I encounter really minor bugs that are not game breaking.
@@myceliumtechno You could call it that, you could also call it graphic display plus direct access to important functions like sampling, step editing and parameter locks.
@@GoldToni-z2tIt pretty change nothing :). There is no menu diving on the AB, just shift + X function. For the OLED display, I just prefer the actual one, because I like to focus on the sound with my ears. Also don’t expect the graphics screen will be at the same level than an Elektron device…
Hi thanks for kind words. Recording this jam I had it for a month. I don't think I used it to its full potential or even close to it yet so stay tuned for future jams :)
I can feel that kick in my chest through my ear buds
Oustanding piece of gear and session too!
Thanks for sharing!
I owned the 999. This is a big improvement. Much rather have this than the RYTM
Rytm sounds awesome.
Tolle Jam abfahrt !
Awesome jam!
This is seriously grooving. You play this machine like no one else ❤

The machine has a potential 🤩 🤩
omg this is 1000000% techno , very well done
Got my sub! Way better than the aimless noise I make. I can jam to this for hours!
Nah, your stuff's fine too and you know it ;) thanks for commenting!
This thing is a monster
Very nice. Very potent machine.
Like the Alpha Base. Play one occasionally but only own a Mbase which is also great 😬
really nice jam m8
Great jam! I‘m very close ordering one because of this video. Well done!

Thank you so much! In this jam the kick voice does the kick throughout.

Will do some for sure 😁

lol. Accurate. I had a SunSyn, Moonwind, AB, etc. I was lured by the sound. Then one day I woke up and realized I was sick of the firmware.

My biggest complaint would be that it's easy to mess up random parameters while muting instruments 😅
@@MaharadzaStunt press the BPM menu button, once you're in that parameters can't be edited and you can mute away without having to worry about it.
Thanks, gotta try this!!!
What went into the sound design of the Alpha Base notes?
Sorry, I don't understand your question. Which notes?
Thanks
the mk2 will be quite a beast
more knobs and OLED display... anything else?

Wow how long did it take you to get this nice with it?

Yes! 🤖
Let's kick drum at 130 BPM
What do you use on the Inputs?
I'm not sure if I understood the question. There is nothing connected to the inputs.
bombenset
