Great video. I keep getting code P0303 and have already done plugs and ignition coil but code keeps coming back. The symptoms I currently have are rough idle and start up, and poor gas mileage, but otherwise the car runs fine. I did notice some oil in the 3 third spark plug initially when I replaced it so I also did valve gasket. Some people have mentioned fuel injector probably needs replacing, but I have also hear the fuel pump can be the issue. I understand the cx7 has two, would it matter changing both or just the high pressure?. The fuel injector seems like a lot of work to get to and was curious if this may clear up the code. I do not have a way to measure fuel pressure like you as that scanner you have looks like a professional tool. Thanks
If your only having a misfire on #3 I would lean more towards it possibly an injector issue, do a compression test and see what they are at, if #3 is the same as the others or lower
Did you have rough idle as well? Having similar issue and thinking its my hpfp. Car struggles gaining speed and misfires very bad. Plugs are new coils are new. Ive also noticed on my autel scanner the hpfp turns on off on off on off does yours do that as well or stays constantly on? Thank you
Why did you replace the high pressure pump? Mine will start run for about 3-6 seconds and then die. I can try to refire and it takes a different couple cranks to get it to fire back up
Why are you replacing it? I’m not sure if mines bad.idk if it’s the hpfp that’s bad,but when I’m driving now testing it around the block.it runs ok.but as soon as I go to 2nd and car tries to boost.it falls on its face.like stops acceleration and starts popping .my exhaust . Idk if that hpfp or boost solenoid..I’ve change everything in that car so far.map sensor .crank sensor .mf sensor . Fuel rail sensor .can not figure it out.
If it was me I would check the live data what the actual fuel pressure is at the rail and what the pcm desired fuel pressure is at, and compare the two and see if there is a noticeable difference in actual fp vs desired fp while the issue is happening, or any codes? Good luck with your vehicle
@@1970wheelhorse yes..that plastic throttle clip was broken.even tho i rigged it like some forum said to do.just ended up replacing the whole part now it works

Did your dip-stick when checking the oil level smell like gasoline?
Im getting chatter from exactly that location, sounds almost like lifters at idle and under load a tinnie rattle but localized right there.
