When putting on the new rubber gasket, did you lube that up at all? I was thinking of using existing gasoline to lubricate the o ring and rubber gasket. Sorry if it's a dumb question, I just want to make sure I'm doing mine right.
Awesome video man. I may have missed it but does the high pressure fuel pump need to be timed with the crank shaft at all? I've heard yes of some people and no of others.
Hello please can you help me with an answer. My mazda 6 2014 is saying connection failed after connecting OBD2 scanner to it. Have tried multiple scanners still giving same issue
If the obd2 doesnt work. Check for power at the obd port pin 16 and check for ground pin 5. If theses 2 pins doesnt have power or ground, scanner cannot read. Check the obd fuse first, if the fuse is good. Then theres a broken wire some where at the obd port to the computer. Use power probe to check for power and ground.
It says Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Malfunction Input Above Calibration The evaporative system prevents the release of fuel vapor from the car. This component monitors the pressure of the evaporative system to determine when it is safe to properly dispose of the captured fuel vapors. My thoughts are, on that fuel pump, there is a sensor which I believe is bad. Of course I can’t just replace the sensor, have to replace the whole pump. I tested the sensor with a multimeter and it truly does seem bad

Hey man what about code P0453 on a 2018 Mazda 3 2L
On my computer info, theres no code for p0453. Whats the description on it?
It says Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor
Malfunction Input Above Calibration
The evaporative system prevents the release of fuel vapor from the car. This component monitors the pressure of the evaporative system to determine when it is safe to properly dispose of the captured fuel vapors.

My fix should be to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor. Is that not part of the fuel pump?
@@greeni3668 Usually its on the fuel pump. For this model FTP sensor is not located on the fuel pump. Could be mounted on top of the fuel tank.
$ 800 for this pump? You need to change where you shop for parts.
Yes $800 for oem part.
@@Ah_Duuu_Ma Like I said, that's too much. I can buy them for less than half that, also OEM.

If no power and cant read code. Check ENG +B fuse 7.5a. Check for ground wires on pin #4 and #5 on the obd port. Check pin #16 for power on obd port.
@ thank you very much
