  • New personal best at the Tidewater Sports Car Club VIR Memorial Day HPDE 5/26. First session of the day Sunday, had to do a push lap followed by one or two cool down laps to keep the car cool. Got a really bad run out of Hog Pen to start the lap, should definitely be able to dip into the low 2:10s if I could manage to get it right twice in a row on a cool morning.
    Mods to the car for reference:
    DIY 93 Tune via SimosTools, DO88 IC, ARM catted DP, BMS TIP
    MK8 PCV full retrofit w/ 034 TMD
    Last season's old 245/40R17 Kumho V730s on 17x9 Apex SM10s
    Stock PP calipers, Ferodo DS3.12 front and 1.11 rear pads, Girodisc 340mm front rotors, Endless 650 fluid
    RS3 brake deflectors and dust shields, Golf R lower fender liners for more airflow
    Whiteline lower ball joints set for max camber
    Powerflex poly camber bushings (front)
    MK8 rear LCA bushings
    Bump steer correction tie rod end sleeves from Whiteline KCA462 kit (nothing else used from the kit)
    034 camber mounts
    034 lowering springs
    Koni Special Active shocks
    Volvo/Febi front bump stops, trimmed 5mm off the top
    10mm trimmed off top of rear bump stops
    H&R 26mm front sway bar (on stiff)
    H&R 26mm rear sway bar (non-adj)
    034 upper/lower torque mount inserts

    Wow! How do you record the brake pressure? Do you have any PIDs for it? (and ESP/ABS)

      It’s tuned/flashed by myself via Simos Tools, and has a high speed logging patch applied so has more access to stuff. I’m logging concurrently with the Garmin recording on track, and then mesh the video and data together in Racerender. It’s a bit of a pain (so I don’t do it for every video), but it gets quicker the more you do it.
