    It fixed the ticking in my 2008 Mazda MX5. Done as part of an oil change and allowed for the extra volume of Ceratec to total volume. Hear it most in the drive-thrus or pulling into the garage. It's usually only after driving the car for a while, but it's very annoying. @@8.8inchesinmyrear it's gonna be almost the same as using ceratec .
      Gonna quite down the ticking for a while until the oil starts to degrade a bit and loses some of it qualities. Ceratec gonna last until you change your oil but once you change the oil, the ticking will comeback. So you have to use it everytime you change your oil . Imo you might as well just use the penzoil ultra plat instead of paying extra for ceratec especially if you change your oil every 5-7k . Ceratec might work a lil longer but if you change your oil frequently, you're just wasting more money

  • @philippebrebion6203
    @philippebrebion6203 หลายเดือนก่อน

    disclaimer, when you had the ceratec, It must be 9.5 L of oil/ceratec mic, you don't put 9.5l oil and then add ceratec because you will overfill it, for example if you are to add 500 lm of ceratec, you put 9L of oil and 500 ml of ceratec... also ceratec is said to last for at least 2 oil flush so no need to add it all the time , or you can half the quantity for the nexts ones

    • @BrandonChinn
      @BrandonChinn  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@philippebrebion6203 so adding in the Ceratec, you don’t actually have to split the difference. Every engine is made to accept a little bit of overfill of oil. • @glock22357

      No you don’t. That little amount doesn’t affect it enough. Every engines able to be overfilled a little bit on purpose, for the specific reason of people accidentally overfilling. This needs to be added to each oil change.
    My question to liqui moley was the following.
    When vehicle is due a service interval after i have used cretec for the first service.
    Liqui moley: All the liquids, leave the engine bay. You can have your vehicle serviced. And drive the vehicle with cretec in the system and the rest has left the engine during the engine oil service.
    Liqui moley recommended a new bottle is added at each service to maintain 100 percent cretec protection. 💯

    • @BrandonChinn

I think the “tick” is a paranoia thing or it’s the normal sound of the components on the engine. Piston slap could be a possibility but it definitely has a distinct sound and there is no way an additive will help if it’s the issue. There have been 18-21 GTs come off the show room with piston slap so it’s not that unlikely. Ford will do everything they can to not acknowledge it also.

    seems like a great way to stop the ticking. The way I'm thinking is if your engine oil is reading top of the fill range then adding 600ml of Ceratec is going to over fill the oil capacity of the engine - not a good thing. I suppose the best way is to add it when doing an oil change and allow the 600ml in the fill up. Adding after the oil change means you should remove 600ml of oil first?

    Is this an actual fix, a bandaid or psychological &&&&. Everyone needs to look up THE OIL GEEK. Adding these additives in general can be more harmful than good, it also depends on what type of engine oil you are using. Some brands of additives react harshly to certain oils, so hence your engine protection is compromised- bearings, piston bore and so on. PLEASE, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE and what you may find might make your head spin. Good luck 😂
