Today we are bending, cutting and welding a custom clutch and brake pedal assembly in out 1969 VW Beetle. The clutch pedal was bent over so my left leg could clear the steering wheel. The brake pedal was quite a bit thicker steel at 3/8" thick, I notched the pedal shaft and bent it over but it was now too short. I fabricated a longer piece of steel in and welded it back together. Hopefully this helps out someone that has issues with incorrectly fitting aftermarket pedals - especially with an automatic to manual trans swap.

I’m not sure people are aware of how much work went into getting that engine to fit 😅
Amazing work man, new subscriber. Can’t wait to see more of this beetle!

Thanks buddy! Dude, the amount of people that see it and say “huh - that fits in there almost perfectly doesn’t it” while I’m keeping my brain from having an aneurysm is constant haha

And thank you for watching! I’m redoing the cooling system with a new compact radiator and 20an hoses. That video will be coming out in a few weeks
