When I was 3, my uncle had just bought the new PS3 and I would watch him play all kinds of games. His favourite thing to do was to blow cars up with rocket launchers in gta4, and I would burst out laughing for no reason when he did so. A few years later he passed on at the age of 17 from a stroke. I was given that PS3 a few weeks later and the first game I played was gta4, blowing up cars with rockets and laughing with eyes full of tears. Over time Ive played many games, eventually upgrading to an Xbox 1 (though I still boot up the PS3 from time to time). I've cried when my favourite characters die in call of duty, I've laughed when my friend falls off a cliff in minecraft, and I've raged when I'm killed by a camper In halo. I love gaming. For me, it's not just a hobby, its a journey. From your first experience with a controller to that fateful day when I put it down for the first time. I'm 16 now, going on to 17 in December of 2021. Almost the same age as my uncle when he passed. I still thank him for introducing me to the fun of gaming all that time ago, and as I start my college course in games development, I know he'll be looking down on me from heaven, the biggest smile on his face, telling me to keep going and make him proud. I miss him, but I will live the life he was never able to. A good game inspires, teaches, gives strength, and will definitely make you cry when it ends. Worlds we enter and become a part of, some may not understand but these games were our lives
One good example would have been prime Fortnite. It taught us that not all good things last forever and we need to cherish every second of what we do in life because we never know when they will end.

We'll call the 4 Netherite scrap (that goes into a Netherite ingot) about 1 platinum ingot, just for the sake of simplicity. But there are still 4 gold ingots in 1 Netherite ingot. If I am correct, that becomes 49.365 g/cm^3. That is incredibly dense. The most dense metal on earth is Osmium, at 22.6g/cm^3. This is more than double that. Minecraft Steve has 35 inventory slots, not including armor because I can't be damned to figure out how much those weigh, and 36 including the offhand slot. There are, of course, 100 cm^3 is 1m^3, each Minecraft block being 1mx1m. Meaning that each Netherite block is 4936.5 grams, or 4.9365 kilograms. We can multiply that by 64 to get 315936 grams, 315.936 kilograms. That's only one slot, though. A shulker box (which are unfortunately unstackable) has 27 slots, and you can fill your inventory with 35 of them, or 36 including the offhand slot. With 35 slots, that becomes 298559520 grams, and including the offhand slot becomes 307089792 grams. If we were to include armor.. I'll just go up to 307089800 grams, or 307089.800 kilograms and call it a day. That comes in at 677017.120019 pounds. Not to mention that you can fill shulkers with shulkers in creative, becoming theoretically infinite weight. Although, that's only in creative. You are already very, very correct. However, Minecraft Steve's movement is unhindered by this weight, his walking speed at 4.317m/s, sprinting speed at 5.612m/s (12.6mph), and sprint-jumping speed of 7.127m/s (16mph). (That's a difference of 1.515 m/s just from jumping, which will come in handy in a moment) Minecraft Steve's movement is not only unhindered, but he can move at a little over 7m/s, with 677017.12 pounds of weight on his back. Athletes may run from 14-17mph, and there is no way in hell they can outrun him no matter their speed because of Minecraft Steve's sheer stamina, as he can run for, without sprint jumping, 800 blocks without stopping, and if he just eats a bit of food he's good to go for another 800 without stopping, and that's not even including saturation, at full saturation he can go 1600 blocks. He can run almost two kilometers at 12.6mph. I'm fairly certain sprint jumping is less efficient, though unarguably faster. To be able to run 12.6 miles per hour for a mile without stopping (4:46 per mile), he would have to be fairly athletic, but to do it with 677017.12 pounds on his back? He inarguably could carry much more if there were anything heavier in Minecraft. I spent almost an hour writing this comment. You're welcome. Video Games have given some better stories then movies can or ever will. Maybe the quality of multiplayer is dropping off in recent years but I’ll give credit where it is due. Single player games have been and always will be a master piece of work. Nothing but love for it

I always love characters like Cayde who go through life trying to make anything and everything fun and happy, but only because they desperately want to recreate the feeling that they lost often when a close friend died. These characters are so tragic and so easy to attach to because you want them to find a home and be legitimately ok, instead of pretending just so they can keep going on. To find out that Cayde's anchor isn't even real and there isn't anything to recreate or return to is just sad all over again.
No game is "Just a Game" Once you get so invested in the game and characters you experience the story like it happened to you, you become apart of the game. The characters emotions will hit you like no other thing will. You will feel their will to fight, their hope, and most importantly, their pain.

Its become my dream to live up to and recreate Titanfall before I kick the bucket - I remember clearly for the 3 days it took me to play through the campaign, and the love and bitter sweetness it left when it came to a quick end. I went back recently to play it again and the ending sends shivers down my spin - it feels like a real adventure and one coming to an end vibe that really hits me. I would give anything, anything, to experience the joy of playing every single game in my library again for the first time. That joy, even from constantly dying, from experiencing first playing Skyrim, Dying Light, etc. will forever be just a memory to me now. To the past, present, and future my brothers and sisters in gaming.

The moment with Arthur and John talking one last time and the way Arthur handed him his hat touched my heart and I couldn't hold it in anymore. Crazy to think that some games have better narratives than most movies out there. Between the two, games can sometimes get me slightly emotional, like the ending to GTA V. Not just the ending itself, but after the credits, the game spawns you in a car with Nowhere To Go by Nite Jewel playing in the radio, knowing damn well that it will hit that spot deep within your brain that asks "I finally finished it. What now?"

@@ewelina6400 Destiny 2, created by the same people who started off the Halo games, Bungie. The game is an FPS looter shooter mixed with an MMO. It has it's up and downs gameplay wise but the story and lore is undoubtedly fantastic. It's a deep dive if you want to look into it, I'd recommend the YT My name is Byf as a starting point for story and lore.
When i first played last of us, i wanted my dad to experience it with me so i waited for him to get home. He couldn't believe it was a game, it looked so real to him. Once we got to that scene we both started crying. Death never looked so true and innocent in a game before, he must've felt the same because he left the room after that scene and i ended up playing the rest of the game by myself.

Reports saying it wasn't as old as they were telling us the build was seems to be EA hate. Granted EA DOES deserve it for a lot of things. But I think they just want to wine and complain becomes there is 1 or 2 more things that are new in a BF game. They bitched about BF1 when it came out and BFV. But people still play them. Also BF3 was a god awful buggy mess with it's Beta. I built my first PC just for it lol. Dual 6850s and a 2600K. Good times. Gooooooooooood times. Worm necks. Pepperidge Farm remembers. The helicopter desync was funny and frustrating at times for BF2042.

I got really emotional during this. These games have been with people through their darkest times. It’s more than just a game. It’s the feeling of happiness, the sadness at a death of a loved one even if they were only a character in the game, still a loved one. It’s the journey and story the game has taken us through. An experience we will not forget. These games are special. As much as people will say grow up it’s just a game, we will continue to love and cherish the memories we’ve gotten playing and we will never forget the storylines. These games are for most people a childhood. It’s a nostalgic part of you and I refuse to let someone tell me other wise. Through Halo to call of duty, Minecraft to stardew valley, tomb raider to Jedi fallen order, battlefield to sea of thieves, to the Witcher and many others, these games will stay with me and I will love them forever. ~ ~Special thanks to Halo~ a game always there for me when I was happy sad or whatever I was it was always A good time.

Man, that's exactly how I feel when I listen to the music of the 80's. I started as a die hard heavy metal boy but my view on music has broadened a lot. Still the 80's music has that feeling like I lived it all. It all comes down to a game though, I don't know if I've ever been touched by the music if it weren't for GTA Vice City. Good times. Nah, that's the emotionally manipulative music doing exactly what it was designed to do lol. You don't have enough context to have any idea what's going on in the scenes you aren't familiar with. It's not good writing, it's just typically bad situations or phrases that every human is familiar with and can immediately recognise. If you saw a 3 second clip of someone crying, you'd likely be able to glean that they were sad, unless it was happy crying which is also very easy to understand. It's an enormous part of human evolution that we can (mostly) parse information by simply looking at an expression on another's face, or in how they say just a few words. These brief clips of very normal every day human things isn't good writing, it's just.. human.. things.. you've evolved to understand. Lol.
They aren’t just games, they’re experiences, stories, lives, sadness, happiness, joy, anger, and most importantly, real to us take cyberpunk. For example, you get to see an up-and-coming mark, go from a nobody to a legend destined to die, but willing to help so many people before their time, like I said at the start, they’re not just games, there are comfort our escape our place we feel accepted and if anybody ever says it’s just a game just know they’re wrong so so wrong. I’ll leave you with one more message. Never let anybody tell you who you’re going to be. We will make our own paths and how we choose to live life is up to us we will make stupid mistakes. @@vChilly they couldn’t really change the ending John had to escape and live and Arthur had to die because rdr1 wouldn’t make sense otherwise. But yeah it didn’t really need 4 endings I think 2 would have been fine.

Damn it's fucking sad to see yourself grow up. When I was a child I remember watching THE BLOB and it scared the shit out of me....I showed this to my child and they thought it was cheesy asf. I'm literally going to be heartbroken when I show them the original Xbox and pop in my copy of halo. I hope to God they don't think it's graphics are too shitty to play.

if i could erase one memory from my mind it'd be the entirety of rdr2. not because i hated it, but because i loved it so much i want to experience it for the first time again. even knowing (SPOILERS) that micah was the rat and that arthur dies, i still loved it because the game's strong suit isn't the destination, but rather the journey there. i had over 100 hours when i finished the game, iirc, and there wasnt a single one i didnt enjoy. just the most mundane of things was fun because it felt organic, real. so many small details, so much love put into the game, its so perfect. each character death (AGAIN, SPOILERS) felt unique and tragic because of how well done they were. Sean's was during an ambush, so it was fast and blunt, making everything all the more emotional after you fend off the grays and have time to process the situation. Hosea was a very important character, and his death was, again, not drawn out, just a shot to the head (or chest, cant be sure) and a fall. right afterwards, lenny's death, which doesnt happen in a cutscene. all done so well, in such different ways, by the end i really missed everyone at the end. and the character development, dutch slowly going insane (or showing his true colors, depends on what you believe), arthur actually getting worse in fistfights and physical activities in general as the game progresses, micah becoming more cocky as arthur gets sicker, and the overall mood of camp turning from lighthearted and welcome, to apprehensive and cold as more members die off. not only that, but every location felt completely new when progressing through the game. strawberry and valentine, being calmer, having smaller jobs; rhodes, with the two families and their missions was VERY fun; saint denis was also interesting because of how sophisticated it was compared to the rest of the game. tldr; rdr2 is a good game
The Last of Us games are what made me buy a PS4. Red Dead Redemption 2 is what made me proud to own a PS4. It’s the best game i’ve ever played. From its gorgeous graphics, to the vast open world, to the characters, the realism, the writing! Everything! Every single thing! It feels like a massive tome of a novel that you live in. The fact that it feels alive is what truly made it a punch in the gut at the end of chapter six. Arthur Morgan will always be the best character you could ask for in fiction.
I actually cried when hosea got shot. none of them deserved to go like they did, but hosea got me the most. he was just such an awesome character and I hated him dying so much
I completed the game only twice, yet I have 800 hours behind me. It's so gorgeous to explore that world, see Arthur interact with strangers and simply go hunting or fishing. In the end we know what happens, but Journey before Destination. It's the best game of all time
(spoilers) best game i have ever played. i could speak about it for hours. it's truly depressing that arthurs character has ended. it genuinely makes me upset. and the deaths,, they were perfection. the story felt so natural and i loved that. how, instead of there being a goal from the start of the game, there was no real goal. in the end, we don't even know what to do anymore because all we're in is a never ending downfall until arthurs time ends. i've always felt such a huge emotional attachment towards the game. i can't imagine a game overtaking the love i have for rdr2. i wish that they focused more on what they did in rdr2 and spent time making other games amazing.
What gets me is how if Arthur had wised up just a little bit and ran off with his lady when he had the chance he could have died in peace. Maybe even lived a fruitful life, but he didn't. Instead he wasted his life but in the end, he saw that John was the better man. After all the shit they had gone through together, Arthur saw the life he could have had, a happy one, in John's eyes. So in a last ditch effort he protected John so he could live. So John could have the life he had hoped to have in the end.
Arthur also couldn't just let the rest of the gang suffer in Dutch's hands. Of course he wouldn't leave them, they're his family. He tried his best to help Dutch, but he was too far gone, so he did all he could to help the rest of them live and escape from the gang. From the outlaw life. He wanted all of them to live better lives especially when he found out that his life was coming to an end sooner than he thought. In the end yes he was still a bad man, but he was a bad man who was trying to do better. And he did all he could do be better, to be the best man he could be despite everything he's done. He did everything he could to do the right thing up until his last breath. That's what makes Arthur's character and story so heartbreaking and emotional.
One of my favorite things that developers due is the the "Thank you for playing our game" message in the end credits. Especially when the game was good. I may cry during the game, but I always cry from a simple thank you from the developers of the game. They will never know I specifically bought and played their game, but it means so much more to me when they do something as simple as that.
This especially hit me with Halo 4, my brother and I played through it together just as we had all those before it, but that time it was under 343 industries. They thanked us for playing the game and trusting them with our beloved franchise.
When Arthur said he was afraid it sent chills down my spine because I genuinely felt the end was near it broke my heart and when he finally succumbed to it all I was never the same I felt genuinely heartbroken because I think we all connected felt like Arthur always labeling ourselves as the bad guy even with all the good we do..
Same, I didn't even cry at the plague tale's ending even after playing both the Games, I shed a tear or 2 and remained depressed for a week but didn't cry even tho it was sadder than rdr2, cuz after playing rdr2, I am almost used to such endings although it hurts a lot😔

For along time, I believed the title of this video. That a game was only that, something to be played, to be tossed aside after the campaigns were done and the story was over. But games are so much more than just a story or a piece of hardware taking up space on our hard drives. Games are experiences, moments in time where we are pulled from this sometime horrid reality into another full of amazing limitless potential and possibilities. To some, its an escape, to others a reflection of themselves painted with 1's and 0's. We see games as nothing more than just that, a game, but in reality, they are our stories, our narratives, our tales told thorough the strokes of the quills of masterful storytellers. Games are experiences, and through the highs, the lows, the uplifting and joyful victories, and the tearful goodbyes, gamers push through it all to see the end. That last sunset upon the beautiful and rich land that we treed upon for so many hours. To game is to experience all of this and more.
Lee and Clementine's goodbye was the most brutal emotional moment I've ever seen in media. And I'm not shocked that both voice actors did not fair well emotionally during the voice recording.
I had recently played The Last Of Us and Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2. My friends had been telling me that they’re super great and amazing. I didn’t really think much of it, until I got pretty bored and thought to myself, why don’t I just give it a try. I deeply regret not playing them sooner. They are if not the best video games ever created. Especially Red Dead Redemption. Storyline is amazing, gameplay is amazing, and the cinematics are amazing.
Losing Cayde wasn't right.. It made me literally stop playing Destiny. I tried to persist because I absolutely loved the game so much.. but everytime a character in the game would mention him again I would get sad/frustrated that he was gone.
They r purely bringing him back cuz the overall state of the game is in shambles. Final shape isn’t going to be good. All they will be doing is dragging mud across cayde’s character. He will probably just have the same writing as nimbus. I’m not buying final shape and I urge you guys to rethink ur decision if u want to buy final shape. Bungie doesn’t care abt anything except for how much money they make. They don’t even care if they make a bad game or if ppl hate it. In fact this is their new philosophy. I’m not even trolling
Hey Brothers, I've got something to say to you guys! Nostalgia of a time gone hits hard, but the fact that these masterpieces will be forgotten with newer generations of gamers hits harder. To think what these games contributed to my personality, my character and who I am as a human being who spend hundreds and thousands of hours sitting behind a screen alone in the solitude, quiet and dark of nights with these seemingly unnecessary games but surprisingly their dopamine storyline slowly growing into unrelinquishable agony and wisdom will be lost one day feel uncomprehend able. But I also realize, These games were made for us, 3 consecutive generations. I don't feel sad for newer generations who won't experience this; As I know they will experience the same in some other context, in some other games and they will feel the same one day. We will keep our love for these storylines and characters among ourselves but will surely convey the wisdom learned to our offsprings; and surely, we all we die one day sharing the parallel fate of these games. I just hope the game story developers keep doing wonderful stuff that they do. It's a heavy job to unpack their wisdom into a project. I hope the tradition will continue. Ah wow. Destiny has been the only game I can use to escape the real world. I started in 2014, I hope the game doesn’t come to an end soon. Cayde’s death still makes me break down. He was just the best character, everyday coming home from the horrors of high school and seeing him put one hell of a smile on my face.

When I was 3, my uncle had just bought the new PS3 and I would watch him play all kinds of games. His favourite thing to do was to blow cars up with rocket launchers in gta4, and I would burst out laughing for no reason when he did so. A few years later he passed on at the age of 17 from a stroke. I was given that PS3 a few weeks later and the first game I played was gta4, blowing up cars with rockets and laughing with eyes full of tears. Over time Ive played many games, eventually upgrading to an Xbox 1 (though I still boot up the PS3 from time to time). I've cried when my favourite characters die in call of duty, I've laughed when my friend falls off a cliff in minecraft, and I've raged when I'm killed by a camper In halo. I love gaming. For me, it's not just a hobby, its a journey. From your first experience with a controller to that fateful day when I put it down for the first time. I'm 16 now, going on to 17 in December of 2021. Almost the same age as my uncle when he passed. I still thank him for introducing me to the fun of gaming all that time ago, and as I start my college course in games development, I know he'll be looking down on me from heaven, the biggest smile on his face, telling me to keep going and make him proud. I miss him, but I will live the life he was never able to.

Seeing Arthur Morgan say: "I'm afraid" hits like a truck. For the whole game he's this badass cowboy who does absolute shootouts and gets into all sorts of shenanigans, but then he's just a broken man. He just shows his underlying emotion. And it's so heart-wrenching seeing him like that

Minecraft Steve has 35 inventory slots, not including armor because I can't be damned to figure out how much those weigh, and 36 including the offhand slot. There are, of course, 100 cm^3 is 1m^3, each Minecraft block being 1mx1m. Meaning that each Netherite block is 4936.5 grams, or 4.9365 kilograms. We can multiply that by 64 to get 315936 grams, 315.936 kilograms. That's only one slot, though. A shulker box (which are unfortunately unstackable) has 27 slots, and you can fill your inventory with 35 of them, or 36 including the offhand slot. With 35 slots, that becomes 298559520 grams, and including the offhand slot becomes 307089792 grams. If we were to include armor.. I'll just go up to 307089800 grams, or 307089.800 kilograms and call it a day. That comes in at 677017.120019 pounds. Not to mention that you can fill shulkers with shulkers in creative, becoming theoretically infinite weight. Although, that's only in creative. You are already very, very correct. However, Minecraft Steve's movement is unhindered by this weight, his walking speed at 4.317m/s, sprinting speed at 5.612m/s (12.6mph), and sprint-jumping speed of 7.127m/s (16mph). (That's a difference of 1.515 m/s just from jumping, which will come in handy in a moment) Minecraft Steve's movement is not only unhindered, but he can move at a little over 7m/s, with 677017.12 pounds of weight on his back. Athletes may run from 14-17mph, and there is no way in hell they can outrun him no matter their speed because of Minecraft Steve's sheer stamina, as he can run for, without sprint jumping, 800 blocks without stopping, and if he just eats a bit of food he's good to go for another 800 without stopping, and that's not even including saturation, at full saturation he can go 1600 blocks. He can run almost two kilometers at 12.6mph. I'm fairly certain sprint jumping is less efficient, though unarguably faster. To be able to run 12.6 miles per hour for a mile without stopping (4:46 per mile), he would have to be fairly athletic, but to do it with 677017.12 pounds on his back? He inarguably could carry much more if there were anything heavier in Minecraft.

I always love characters like Cayde who go through life trying to make anything and everything fun and happy, but only because they desperately want to recreate the feeling that they lost often when a close friend died. These characters are so tragic and so easy to attach to because you want them to find a home and be legitimately ok, instead of pretending just so they can keep going on. To find out that Cayde's anchor isn't even real and there isn't anything to recreate or return to is just sad all over again.

Crazy to think that some games have better narratives than most movies out there. Between the two, games can sometimes get me slightly emotional, like the ending to GTA V. Not just the ending itself, but after the credits, the game spawns you in a car with Nowhere To Go by Nite Jewel playing in the radio, knowing damn well that it will hit that spot deep within your brain that asks "I finally finished it. What now?"

It has it's up and downs gameplay wise but the story and lore is undoubtedly fantastic. When i first played last of us, i wanted my dad to experience it with me so i waited for him to get home. He couldn't believe it was a game, it looked so real to him. Once we got to that scene we both started crying. Death never looked so true and innocent in a game before, he must've felt the same because he left the room after that scene and i ended up playing the rest of the game by myself.

Reports saying it wasn't as old as they were telling us the build was seems to be EA hate. Granted EA DOES deserve it for a lot of things. But I think they just want to wine and complain becomes there is 1 or 2 more things that are new in a BF game. They bitched about BF1 when it came out and BFV. But people still play them. Also BF3 was a god awful buggy mess with it's Beta. I built my first PC just for it lol. Dual 6850s and a 2600K. Good times. Gooooooooooood times. Worm necks. Pepperidge Farm remembers. The helicopter desync was funny and frustrating at times for BF2042.

I got really emotional during this. These games have been with people through their darkest times. It’s more than just a game. It’s the feeling of happiness, the sadness at a death of a loved one even if they were only a character in the game, still a loved one. It’s the journey and story the game has taken us through. An experience we will not forget. These games are special. As much as people will say grow up it’s just a game, we will continue to love and cherish the memories we’ve gotten playing and we will never forget the storylines. These games are for most people a childhood. It’s a nostalgic part of you and I refuse to let someone tell me other wise. Through Halo to call of duty, Minecraft to stardew valley, tomb raider to Jedi fallen order, battlefield to sea of thieves, to the Witcher and many others, these games will stay with me and I will love them forever. ~ ~Special thanks to Halo~ a game always there for me when I was happy sad or whatever I was it was always A good time.

Nah, that's the emotionally manipulative music doing exactly what it was designed to do lol. You don't have enough context to have any idea what's going on in the scenes you aren't familiar with. It's not good writing, it's just typically bad situations or phrases that every human is familiar with and can immediately recognise. If you saw a 3 second clip of someone crying, you'd likely be able to glean that they were sad, unless it was happy crying which is also very easy to understand. It's an enormous part of human evolution that we can (mostly) parse information by simply looking at an expression on another's face, or in how they say just a few words. These brief clips of very normal every day human things isn't good writing, it's just.. human.. things.. you've evolved to understand. Lol.

They aren’t just games, they’re experiences, stories, lives, sadness, happiness, joy, anger, and most importantly, real to us take cyberpunk. For example, you get to see an up-and-coming mark, go from a nobody to a legend destined to die, but willing to help so many people before their time, like I said at the start, they’re not just games, there are comfort our escape our place we feel accepted and if anybody ever says it’s just a game just know they’re wrong so so wrong. I’ll leave you with one more message. Never let anybody tell you who you’re going to be. We will make our own paths and how we choose to live life is up to us we will make stupid mistakes. That CoD Black Ops Ghost ending still haunting me to this day
if i could erase one memory from my mind it'd be the entirety of rdr2. not because i hated it, but because i loved it so much i want to experience it for the first time again. even knowing (SPOILERS) that micah was the rat and that arthur dies, i still loved it because the game's strong suit isn't the destination, but rather the journey there. i had over 100 hours when i finished the game, iirc, and there wasnt a single one i didnt enjoy. just the most mundane of things was fun because it felt organic, real. so many small details, so much love put into the game, its so perfect. each character death (AGAIN, SPOILERS) felt unique and tragic because of how well done they were. Sean's was during an ambush, so it was fast and blunt, making everything all the more emotional after you fend off the grays and have time to process the situation. Hosea was a very important character, and his death was, again, not drawn out, just a shot to the head (or chest, cant be sure) and a fall. right afterwards, lenny's death, which doesnt happen in a cutscene. all done so well, in such different ways, by the end i really missed everyone at the end. and the character development, dutch slowly going insane (or showing his true colors, depends on what you believe), arthur actually getting worse in fistfights and physical activities in general as the game progresses, micah becoming more cocky as arthur gets sicker, and the overall mood of camp turning from lighthearted and welcome, to apprehensive and cold as more members die off. not only that, but every location felt completely new when progressing through the game. strawberry and valentine, being calmer, having smaller jobs; rhodes, with the two families and their missions was VERY fun; saint denis was also interesting because of how sophisticated it was compared to the rest of the game.
tldr; rdr2 is a good game
The Last of Us games are what made me buy a PS4. Red Dead Redemption 2 is what made me proud to own a PS4. It’s the best game i’ve ever played. From its gorgeous graphics, to the vast open world, to the characters, the realism, the writing! Everything! Every single thing! It feels like a massive tome of a novel that you live in. The fact that it feels alive is what truly made it a punch in the gut at the end of chapter six. Arthur Morgan will always be the best character you could ask for in fiction.
I actually cried when hosea got shot. none of them deserved to go like they did, but hosea got me the most. he was just such an awesome character and I hated him dying so much
I completed the game only twice, yet I have 800 hours behind me. It's so gorgeous to explore that world, see Arthur interact with strangers and simply go hunting or fishing.
In the end we know what happens, but Journey before Destination. It's the best game of all time

best game i have ever played. i could speak about it for hours. it's truly depressing that arthurs character has ended. it genuinely makes me upset.
and the deaths,, they were perfection. the story felt so natural and i loved that. how, instead of there being a goal from the start of the game, there was no real goal. in the end, we don't even know what to do anymore because all we're in is a never ending downfall until arthurs time ends.
i've always felt such a huge emotional attachment towards the game. i can't imagine a game overtaking the love i have for rdr2. i wish that they focused more on what they did in rdr2 and spent time making other games amazing.
What gets me is how if Arthur had wised up just a little bit and ran off with his lady when he had the chance he could have died in peace. Maybe even lived a fruitful life, but he didn't. Instead he wasted his life but in the end, he saw that John was the better man. After all the shit they had gone through together, Arthur saw the life he could have had, a happy one, in John's eyes. So in a last ditch effort he protected John so he could live. So John could have the life he had hoped to have in the end.
Arthur also couldn't just let the rest of the gang suffer in Dutch's hands. Of course he wouldn't leave them, they're his family. He tried his best to help Dutch, but he was too far gone, so he did all he could to help the rest of them live and escape from the gang. From the outlaw life. He wanted all of them to live better lives especially when he found out that his life was coming to an end sooner than he thought. In the end yes he was still a bad man, but he was a bad man who was trying to do better. And he did all he could do be better, to be the best man he could be despite everything he's done. He did everything he could to do the right thing up until his last breath. That's what makes Arthur's character and story so heartbreaking and emotional.
One of my favorite things that developers due is the the "Thank you for playing our game" message in the end credits. Especially when the game was good. I may cry during the game, but I always cry from a simple thank you from the developers of the game. They will never know I specifically bought and played their game, but it means so much more to me when they do something as simple as that.
This especially hit me with Halo 4, my brother and I played through it together just as we had all those before it, but that time it was under 343 industries. They thanked us for playing the game and trusting them with our beloved franchise.
Those Destiny 2 clips hit hard
When Arthur said he was afraid it sent chills down my spine because I genuinely felt the end was near it broke my heart and when he finally succumbed to it all I was never the same I felt genuinely heartbroken because I think we all connected felt like Arthur always labeling ourselves as the bad guy even with all the good we do..
It killed any emotion I had left when Arthur died. I almost physically can't get sad at most things

For along time, I believed the title of this video. That a game was only that, something to be played, to be tossed aside after the campaigns were done and the story was over. But games are so much more than just a story or a piece of hardware taking up space on our hard drives. Games are experiences, moments in time where we are pulled from this sometime horrid reality into another full of amazing limitless potential and possibilities. To some, its an escape, to others a reflection of themselves painted with 1's and 0's. We see games as nothing more than just that, a game, but in reality, they are our stories, our narratives, our tales told thorough the strokes of the quills of masterful storytellers. Games are experiences, and through the highs, the lows, the uplifting and joyful victories, and the tearful goodbyes, gamers push through it all to see the end. That last sunset upon the beautiful and rich land that we treed upon for so many hours. To game is to experience all of this and more.

I had recently played The Last Of Us and Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2. My friends had been telling me that they’re super great and amazing. I didn’t really think much of it, until I got pretty bored and thought to myself, why don’t I just give it a try. I deeply regret not playing them sooner. They are if not the best video games ever created. Especially Red Dead Redemption. Storyline is amazing, gameplay is amazing, and the cinematics are amazing.

I've got something to say to you guys!
Nostalgia of a time gone hits hard, but the fact that these masterpieces will be forgotten with newer generations of gamers hits harder. To think what these games contributed to my personality, my character and who I am as a human being who spend hundreds and thousands of hours sitting behind a screen alone in the solitude, quiet and dark of nights with these seemingly unnecessary games but surprisingly their dopamine storyline slowly growing into unrelinquishable agony and wisdom will be lost one day feel uncomprehend able.
But I also realize,
These games were made for us, 3 consecutive generations. I don't feel sad for newer generations who won't experience this; As I know they will experience the same in some other context, in some other games and they will feel the same one day.
We will keep our love for these storylines and characters among ourselves but will surely convey the wisdom learned to our offsprings; and surely, we all we die one day sharing the parallel fate of these games.
I just hope the game story developers keep doing wonderful stuff that they do. It's a heavy job to unpack their wisdom into a project. I hope the tradition will continue.

Ah wow. Destiny has been the only game I can use to escape the real world. I started in 2014, I hope the game doesn’t come to an end soon. Cayde’s death still makes me break down. He was just the best character, everyday coming home from the horrors of high school and seeing him put one hell of a smile on my face.
