Thanks for your work of exploring Africa (Ethiopia). Can be a master piece of document for anyone interested to overview Ethiopia in less than an hour. I greatly appreciate your efforts of making my country Ethiopia, visible to the rest of the world only from the point of peculiar historical and political perspectives. I hope that you are also familiar with the presence of so many intact cultural heritages that haven't yet seen by many nations in the globe. Please keep your journey again and again across Africa and show the truth to the world.

I wish you also cover the west evil deed at this moment on Africa. Africa is still under western power. Our politics and Economy is totaly at their hand. Every African origion should be aware that uless we are free to decied on maters that affect us. Trust me unless we become master of our own fate, we and our children all over the world will not be free and live in dignity.

The fact that they were able to stay in power imdicates they earned some popular support, paralleling the history of the Russian Bolshevik Revolution which is their inspiration. The resentment of many poor people powered their revolution. But the Derg began, after the assignation of Emperor Selassie in 1974, a cycle of murder and lawlessness that has not yet abated.

We are white and we were colonised by other whites. And still we preserved our language for 1000 years and our traditions and culture. So we can be proud, too.
You always mention west white colonisators. This was last 400 or 500 years. Before there were no foreign colonisators in Africa? It seems also that you don't need enemies from outside, you can be enough evil to one another 😭 this is sad, such a beautifull people, with amazing landscapes and nature, but too much suffering and man made famine ....

The remnant Rastafarians of Shashamene must really be stubborn. I suspect the other 4700 emigres, upon discovering the spiritual riches of Tewahedo Orthodox Christianity simply became Ethiopian and did shed the colonial identity.
The spirit of Ras Tafari lives in the church he protected from the Italian fascists, the church which worships the Lord God of Israel Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth!

Both, as an Ethiopian and a person who has watched your videos, this episode looks more like a travlog than about the History of Art in Ethiopia. For one thing, a single episode on an entire 3000 years old civilization and its heritage is very ridiculous given you have dedicated whole episodes for individual artists in Europe. Had you done your home work correct, You would have come up with a substantial content.

A different perspective needed about this war the tigrayan and some other nationalities was involved ,but the Amhara's get the credit why ? Before this war during the yohanes reign half of Eritrea was part of his domain ,when he died Menilik granted all those places to Italy exchanging with weapons,
The nationalities who helped menilik during the war get nothing except subjugation and lost their dignity
With Amhara or Abyssinian culture .
