I have zero issues with the camera, even before the option they added to have at the bottom, i already used at the bottom. Camera is behind the soundbar. So now you dont have a camera and now you get a sync-box in view. Camera has way lower profile than this box

Yes you can. Anything that's plugged into it through HDMI will work. I have it connected to my set top box. Also, you can select any colour or scene that are available through the app or download scenes from others and also create your own scenes. The options are endless. I could go on all day about it lol
@troymajors9805 it will work with movies and tv shows but you have to have a satellite / cable receiver connected via a hdmin connection but it won't work with an ariel connected to the tv or smart app on a tv. I hope that makes sense.
No it doesn't unfortunately. That is a bit of a pain. You have to go through the app to select inputs or manually press a button on the box itself but you get used to it. I used to have my ring doorbell connected to my firestick (plugged directly into the tv) so if anyone pressed my doorbell the inputs would automatically switch and I could see who was there. I've now lost this feature with the syncbox.

I know you said the letter box didnt effect it but it looked like it wasnt picking up the marvel banner on the top and bottom? I feel like they should have waited until they can integrate 2.1 and optimize it for tv and not just gaming. I game but I only use the movie mode with my T2 because the game mode is too distracting. Id personally prefer tv/movies to be the priority.
I'd say the brightness levels aren't currently as high as the T2 hence why the bottom didn't show up as well, hdmi 2.1 and VRR support would have been great so should be interesting to see how this progresses.
Would using the t2 strip make it brighter
@@HoodRed69 its the software controlling the brightness and from what I could tell the AI in game actions seemed pretty bright
Can we use this on in tv apps?
No unfortunately not
Bit disappointed they didn’t spend a bit extra so 120@4k and VRR would be supported. :-/
No VRR NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Suprised me too to be honest
I could live with adding a separate streaming device but not with no 4K 120fps Xbox.
I have this box, I get all 2.1 features through a HDMI 2.1 Splitter set up.
Want to see this vs fancy led sync box
I've beliefly shown in th-cam.com/video/-XVQICDCA80/w-d-xo.html
Do you think it can also be used for 45“ tvs?
I have zero issues with the camera, even before the option they added to have at the bottom, i already used at the bottom. Camera is behind the soundbar. So now you dont have a camera and now you get a sync-box in view. Camera has way lower profile than this box
Second, having camera at the bottom also fixes that reflection issue. Other fix could be adding a black piece of cloth on your table to prevent surrounding reflections to bounce to the camera
If I use my HDMI from computer to my tv with sync will it work?
If I plug in my fire stick will it sync the lights when I put on a movie?
is there a earc hdmi port?
Awesome video. Still going to hold out until they update to 2.1 So it's future proof
👌
Any recommendations for setting on the tv? Everything just seems to be shades of white and yelllow for games and movie's
Thank doesn't sound right are the leds ok? Check the connection and make sure you're the max resolution is 4k 60hz. Also what console are you using? And which game are you playing?
@@GeekStreet I've been playing mostly gta de on ps5
Try Astros playroom is that any better?
Still not helping. Also now my TV keeps connecting and disconnecting
@@alexstrejc3004 turn off allm and vrr plus 120hz support
For ps5 which one should i buy as ambiance led? I have 27 inch monitor.
Not available in the uk?
Does this box work with ARC? I have a sonos sound system and want to use this plus my sonos sound system. Would appreciate if anyone has tested this, thanks!
@GeekStreet Would also like to know this.
@@ThePhuture23 hey I bought the one with the camera instead, I don’t think it does but may be wrong
Thanks mate! @@LiamMitchell5294
hello GeekStreet, i hope you are doing well. thankyou for the video .... actually, I have been planning to install lights behind my TV and My PC. as u mentioned the ai box does not support cable tv . but here in INDIA i guess its call cable tv but technically it is not. it is a SET-TOP box system would it sync to it ?? please let me know so i can make a decision ... also is there a option if we don't want to sync it and keep it on warm colors while watching tv ?
Yes you can. Anything that's plugged into it through HDMI will work. I have it connected to my set top box. Also, you can select any colour or scene that are available through the app or download scenes from others and also create your own scenes. The options are endless. I could go on all day about it lol
Does it has dolby sound passtrougth?
I saw that one of the HDMI inputs on the sync box was HDMI eARC. Does that mean I need to plug in my soundbar into it if I want it to work correctly?
That's what I'm wondering too; I've currently got everything running through a 7.1 receiver.
So this product doesn’t display the same effects for movies and tv??
@@troymajors9805 it needs hdmi input to work
@@GeekStreet so no?? Is yes I’m confused brother!
@troymajors9805 it will work with movies and tv shows but you have to have a satellite / cable receiver connected via a hdmin connection but it won't work with an ariel connected to the tv or smart app on a tv. I hope that makes sense.
with no HDMI 2.1 means a no for me, its a shame, I would love to have this
Does anyone know if the Sync Box has an automatic switching feature for multiple HDMI inputs?
No it doesn't unfortunately. That is a bit of a pain. You have to go through the app to select inputs or manually press a button on the box itself but you get used to it. I used to have my ring doorbell connected to my firestick (plugged directly into the tv) so if anyone pressed my doorbell the inputs would automatically switch and I could see who was there. I've now lost this feature with the syncbox.
