Thanks for posting this just recently got one of the corner wall glides and the floor lamp. Had no idea I could sync them all together but now that I know I'm definitely getting this for the TV thanks for posting!
I found it didn't work for the t2, I did that with the t1 no problem. With the t2 it wouldn't calibrate properly, as soon as I used the orange pads it was night and day difference. Not sure if it's just my new tv or what
Thank you for your video. I watched it all the way threw once and now I'm watching it again while I set up my back light 3s. My room is Govee'd out with all the different ones I have and I think this will be the one that lays it out ✌🏼️I have the glide, floor lamp pro, 2 rgbic strip, and 4bulbs. So far!
Awesome just keep the list growing. I've been doing this for a few years now and I must say Govee is definitely in the top 3 in terms of connection, stability, app ease/layout, and certainly personality. I've never had a problem with any devices failing or losing connection so it's definitely a great brand to add to for your home.
I recently upgraded as I got a larger tv, the T2 is much better. I had the t1 dialed in as good as you could, had it for a couple years and used it daily. Its taken me a bit to get used to the t2. I found I had to use the orange pads instead of the TH-cam video I used with the T1, it just wouldn't calibrate properly, once the orange pads were on it literally self calibrated perfectly, the t1 you had to completely adjust them manually. The white balance was harder to get right, after that I find the color to be way more accurate then the t1. Much better orange and yellow, skin tones are light pink. It still really struggles with green though. There's also double the amount of leds so you get a way better seperation in colors, especially around the corners. I do find it very sensitive, if the screen is transitioning quickly alot it reacts very fast and almost flickers as its keeping up with the screen. Id recommend the T2 over the T1. I got it on sale and with a coupon i paid $150 CDN for the 75". The T1 75" version was $130 so it was a no brainer. The T3 is in development, has same amount of LEDs as the T1 but 4 colors per led resulting in supposed very accurate colors like the screen itself.
Many users are wanting to know if you can put a backlight for 55-65 inch tvs on a 50 inch tv.What are your thoughts?I personally think you could np with a little bit of innovation and placement especially at the corners where you looped the cord
Yeah you certainly could. Exactly like you said with the corners just make sure you tape them down otherwise you'll get a shadow on the wall since there's a little extra slack on each corner now. Definitely doable.
Thank you.. )) Yes you can have it match TV colors, bounce to noise, run off of your own scenes, or just leave it any single color. So Yes you can.. ))
That wouldn't work bc the 3m is on the wrong side. You clip the strip in the front and the 3m on back so there's no real good way to be able to hold the wiring down if the 3M is on the opposite side. If that makes sense.. Great question though.
I got mine yesterday, got it pretty good with calibration, only thing I cannot get working in multicolor. Ive tried the color wheel that i see people using when calibrating and the colors follow along with the wheel, so me it goes white. my saturation is at 25% (tried from 1-100), white balance 65%, and brightness is 50%
@@threadchemistry Thanks for replying to an old video. Was just wondering if you may have a fix to why mine wont show multiple colors at once. Like 2+ it will either stay one color or go full white.
Gosh it's been so long I can't even remember the setup. Have you tried Govee? If not you can email them at support@govee.com they should be able to answer best for you!
Thank you. Ya it works with everything. It's the camera capturing the light, so it really has nothing to do with what's on or where it's coming from. As long as there's light emitting from TV the backlight will match it.. hope that helps.
Are you asking if the Govee strip will turn on and off with your tv?? Unfortunately no, but if you use a smart home hub you can create an automation and turn them off by voice.
I do have 1 very small little section that won't cooperate but other than that it's alright. I just constantly adjusted everything till I had it where I wanted it. Or as close to as possible.
Hello. I just got a Govee TV Backlight T2 from a friend. I was unboxing the package and realized there is no stick on orange blocks in it. What should I do? Are the blocks necessary for the set-up?
They are just reference points to be able to spot those corners easier when going through setup. So technically you don't actually need them. If you could find something that you could put on each area of your TV where the orange foam pieces are supposed to go, you would be good to go. Probably something a little brighter so you can see it. Something that isn't going to stick to the TV and ruin it when you need to remove it. Maybe even some of those neon post it notes. The mini ones would probably work perfect. I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.. ))
I think if you have the correct size for your tv with the T1 right now, I wouldn't spend the $ to upgrade. If you don't have either though I'd say get the T2, or if u have the 55"-65" T1 on a 75" or 85" tv I would say upgrade if you like a lot of brightness. The T2 really illuminates out more.
Is that an actual outlet? Or is it a In wall power kit? Im asking because Ive been told that you cannot plug an extension into those kits and the should be plugged directly into a wall outlet not a Power Kit. I returned my Govee T2 because the AC adapter was to large and I couldnt plug the TV and it in at the same time....
All you have to do is go to Home Depot or lowes and they sell those as whole kits to install. They're pretty convenient actually if u are familiar with dunning wire.
So it is an outlet. Just a "dented" mold, for lack of better words. You cut out a hole and instal the mold and run the wiring and it'll be flush with your wall so you can push tv back
I mean you don't leave it on there forever. Just while calibrating. Then they just come right off. Keep that little sheet they came on and you can reuse them
Nope you will be good. When you set it up you have to select a coverage area for the camera. Basically a box aiming only on your TV. Even if the camera can see areas outside the TV it wont process anything outside of the box you build which should be around the edges of the TV. Make sense?
@@threadchemistry@threadchemistry Do you mean that if the camera is set well and only frames the areas of the television, the rest doesn't bother it, not even a few slight reflections?

@@threadchemistry no I mean what if I install it on my current 55. I have to cut the cable a bit to make it fit, and I will purchase a 65 one later. Now the cable is too short. You need to buy a new set or something then?
I'm not sure what you mean. They only make 2 versions. 1 for 55"-65" TVs and 1 for 75"-85" TVs.. And btw you shouldn't cut that led strip. The camera records the color and sends it to the full strip so what you're cutting off should be part of the color otherwise it might not look right.
Technically you could make it work, but the LED strip for the back of the TV is a certain length. The largest being for 75"-85" TVs. So if you were to apply that LED to the back of the screen you could only place it in a square as big as the strip is. So the bigger the screen the smaller area the LED strip will cover which would block some of the color that reflects out.. So yes it could work. Would I do it? Prolly not.

As long as you have the t3 installed also. Then put it in dreamview. Then any of the wall lights will work
the camera goes in the center of the TV. Does it need to be attached to the 3m tape, or is it just sits there?
It just sits there kinda. It has a folding back to kind of move the center of gravity back and rubber for grip. Hips very well actually

I usually do. Must have forgotten a few. My bad.
Лучше бы сделали два модуля с камерами. Один сверху, а другой снизу. А лучше было бы если в каждых углах по камере😏. А так это нестоит даже 50 долларов!
I have no idea what that says. Ha
@@threadchemistry так всё логично)) ты даже толком не разобрался с эти устройством)) ужасный обзор
What are you talking about dude. Leave your bs somewhere else.

It would be better to make two modules with cameras. One is on top and the other is below. It would be better if there was a camera in each corner(. But it doesn’t even cost 50 dollars!

That's where you're wrong. TV placement is a personal preference ultimately. And ultimately i like it where it is. Ergo you are incorrect sir. Lol
my god man.....lay off the coccaine....whew
Bah.. Dude your jealousy is so transparent you even waste time commenting ridiculous sh*t like this. I understand you obviously know how pathetic you are, but can't do anything about it. As much as you try to be "cool" you know it'll never happen so you troll online for self-assurance.
You should've just written that. The comment says everything about you. All you are is just a simple negative mistake. I feel for ya man. Wish u the best. Hope you can find the help you need.
Hey, thanks for the comment though. Every comment helps. Much appreciated. Good luck.
