"they make your feet look like hooves" this is a great god damn video. I just bought some Avignons (a mainstream split toe derby) and am inhaling all the Paraboot vids I can find. Great work Martin
Hey Martin! I’m really happy I’ve found your channel and I feel your review on these are exceptionally well done by myself being a lover of these shoes I find them being true to size I’m a uk8 and have having a few pairs of the Micka (more summer / autumn style) unlined and I’ve just purchased a pair of the Michael’s in a nice whiskey suede which I love particularly for this autumn season just around the corner. Again I agree it’s a hard to break in shoe and not for everyone but they eventually break in nicely for comfort and é personally love their versatility for any types of daily outfits bring casual or smart. Definitely my favourite shoes!
i wear doc martens size 48, they're a bit too big but 47 was too small. i guess i have size 47,5 then... do you think i could get a pair of paraboot michaels in 47? i found gently used pair pair in 47 for 180 bucks, sounds like a steal since they're 475 euros new right now!
i used to wear 43 with docs but found those rather tight, had to break them in! perhaps 43.5 would've been more comfortable for me? maybe that makes you a 46.5 with paraboots then, 47 might be too big
Awesome review. Very thoughtful advice on sizing! Is the stretch enough to say it’s a quarter size stretch? I tried on a 43 and it felt fine like true to my foot. The 42.5 was a bit cramped but if it stretched out a quarter size, it might be perfect. Appreciate any help!
@@martinqui thank you! Man this sucks, really wish there were shops near me with the pair that I want (the collab with EG) but in the States, only a handful have them in 42.5 and it’s final sale /:
@@gnatotto for Michaels i would think half size down is better, they fit wide. i wear US10 for nike and NB too, if your going for reims then half size up better. i am looking to buy another pair of MIchael in noir.. hard to find 41.5 always sold out
I love their shape! I need a wide toebox and they look like they would fit just right. Also, since I have very thick legs, chunky shoes fit my body type better than slim pointy shoes.
They are not ugly. I believe the style is called "Norwegian" and they are sturdy, no nonsense shoes. In particular apt when worn by a taller gentleman. They are informal shoes.
@@martinqui Do you think I got the wrong size? My big toes and long toes are getting jammed in the toe box when walking. Is it normal? Im a size US 10 in NBs and Nikes, US 9 in Converse. I bought a size 42 for the Michaels.
first brown pair was a 42.5 which was comfortable but had some extra room. I went for 42 for my second pair which was more snug but less forgiving with thicker socks
At first, I didn’t understand why dudes would wear that looks like granny shoes, let alone over 600 dollar price. But the more I see it the more I like it. It looks genderless, ugly yet, weirdly cute also classic vibe. I purchased both Michael and Chambord at online. Hope I made the right decision.
@@AlexanderDobinson theyre laced a bit loosely here for convenience. What can i say… i have wide feet and skinny legs. A size down would turn my feet would blue

appreciate it mate! those and the chambords, eventually!!
If one is the devil, hoof foot suits him perfectly.
Size reference vs Birkenstock is what I am searching the internet all this time! I am now confident to order my first pair. Thanks!😊
man this review is amazing! just what i needed. love the look of these shoes :)

@@ricardoparis4845 thanks you, and glad to hear it!! the mickas do have such interesting colors and i’ll definitely give them a shot!
Just finished listening to your first podcast with Sophie….👏👏👏👏
welcome to TH-cam Martin! always asking Sophie what you wear hahaha
I'm a pretty huge fan of Paraboots. I have a pair of Chambords and Avoiraz, thinking of these next...
are those the Cerf noir?

thanks for the comment! i'd say get the 43, unless there's significant heel slippage. it's probably quarter size stretch tops!

hey is that a dark brown or more of a burgundy? im looking into getting a pair but not sure to go for cafe, marron, or bordaeux
@@dumabalrog cafe is more of a dark brown than red. think all are good choices!
@@martinqui thank you!
Hi! In your opinion which size should I take? Usually of trainers (Nike, new Balance, Salomon) I wear 43, which size would be right for me?
my nike EU size is between 44-44.5, so maybe 41-41.5
How did the price of these explode? $700 usd now.....
Beautiful video and shoes. How wide are they in the toe box? They look like they are wider that the typical oxford/brogue dress shoe.
For me a bit tight (i’ve got wide feet and big toes…), but yes, still roomier than most oxfords!

In my eyes they are perfect!
They are ugly shoes

do you reccomend online shopping in cettire? how about the shipping time?
My experience was fine, and i think the shipping was on time!
The putting on of these without unlacing is giving me unexpected anxiety 😮
Are they comfortable?

Heyy thank you for the video. Why do you have two different size ? Does the size differ from the colors ?
Thank you

hi mom
You’re amazing Martin…❤ 🥰
Except it’s not ugly 😂, it’s just complete matter of personal taste and preference. Some people don’t like brogues that don’t mean brogues are ugly …
as they say... beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
If ugly why buy and wear them?
The look to big for you... if you dont need to unlace a shoe to put it on then its the wrong size.
