They've got reports on their website and they seem to be talking to stakeholders, including the road haulage association about the impact and including costs. I had a defender 90 in London. I rebuilt the thing and loved it. Only sold it due to low emissions crap. What hurt was a guy from outside London bought it. Don't emissions travel in the air ? Yep I think number plates will fall off, get nicked, dirty and even swapped. I guess how they implement it will be a deciding factor. When I consider everyone's comments I don't think they can without GPS tracking on every car.

Not only this but expect “them” to start differentiating soon between “recreational” camping and “residential” camping. In others words they want you in a property being a tax slave.
Basic problem is the UK is a small island with too many people. Politicians make it worse by refusing to control our borders, as a result infrastructure is overloaded & solutions to problems are either more complex or unsolvable. When politicians overuse 'nudge theory' instead of democratic debate to make changes it leads to a distrust in politics. I've entered into a lease hire agreement on an electric van recently and it works for me for the time being. I believe that long term, EVs are a major part of the picture but in the short to medium term it isn't practical for everyone, but it is practical for many people. People ought to be encouraged to go electric with tax breaks and free charging and so forth. There must be more carrot and less stick. The reduction in pollution is off the chart and that should be a major priority. The efficiency of EVs is around 4 times that of ICE vehicles, and the pollution from coal fired electric generation has the potential to be directed and captured. We don't want people, children especially, to be breathing in such massive levels of pollution that normal vehicles emit. The politicisation of EVs is insane. The bottom line is that we need to reduce pollution and EVs contribute to achieving that goal.
5 to 7 years battery life, so the life of the vehicle is around that time frame. Can we really say that's helping the environment ? I've got to question. The battery make up and minning is a concern given its lifespan. I've also got to question the reliability of these as they haven't proven themselves over time.

I've gone from a range of 550 on my diesel car to a range of 175 miles, so I have a new thing to 'worry about' as I go about my day, but I'm giving it a go. One thing I would say, about the 5-7 year life span, is if one were to quantify that in miles, for a light user that would equate to around 60,000 miles. There are many people, especially older folk, and second car owners, who just toddle about town, and for them, 60,000 is more miles than they could ever cover. These vehicles have their place, certainly, and what I'm saying, is the 'constellation of beliefs' let's call it, that rejects everything from climate change to veganism, and vaccines to EVs is such a dull mindset. I have been accurate about it. Sadiq Khan is the head chairman of C40 cities, that includes Europe. C40 is the board responsible for climate change and measures brought in to combat climate change. Other councils outside London and even outside of UK answer to him. He's also repeatedly lied in front of board and been caught.

The PPM charges are likely to be aimed at EV's not at commercial vehicles. I don't think you can blame the mayor of London for ULEZ in other cities he is only the mayor of London. If you're going to do the political stuff fine but at least try and be accurate with it!!
I have been accurate about it. Sadiq Khan is the head chairman of C40 cities, that includes Europe. C40 is the board responsible for climate change and measures brought in to combat climate change. Other councils outside London and even outside of UK answer to him. He's also repeatedly lied in front of board and been caught.

@@Roadshome so I've looked in to this, he is co chair, not chairman, big difference it is not a company. C40 and Khan are not responsible for the other clean air zones this is down to the local councils in each city as London is the only c40 city in the UK. Khan is a member by virtue of being the mayor of London as the next mayor of London will be.
