I wish Honda would bring back the Element! What a mistake to have discontinued it!
Same here! I honestly feel like they wouldn't be able to make it the same or at least with all its features. I can see it come back as a electric car but I'm sure it would have a hefty price tag lol
Thanks man! This was very helpful. Subscribed. Just bought a 2004 AWD Honda Element EX a week ago. Love it. It's in mint condition. Looks new. Just exploring the different elements of it. I'll be watching some of your other videos.
Thanks for watching makes us happy to know our videos are helpful. I am currently working on a video about our bed platform should be coming out soon.
Dude! Such a great video! Back to basics is where it's at. Nice to hear how much you enjoy your E and appreciate it for what it is!
Hey Stephen 👋
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words. I m bummed my wife and I can't make it to the camp out yall having. Definitely will try for the next one want to work more with you guys 😁
@@ReadySetElement No worries! There will be more events! We'll get together eventually.
Me too! Felt I needed it all! I pack 3 different ways for camping: car camping, climbing, backpacking. It’s a money pit for sure, but in a good way
I did a lot of the same mods. I keep the roof net, tailgate net, hood deflector, and I added a heavier rubber floor which makes it much quieter on the highway. Also did a dash cover, but did the backup cam style to keep it discrete.
I like your tip on the heavier rubber floor mat to make it quieter on the highways. How are you liking your dash cover and back up camera ? I've been wanting to get a dash cover.
What products did you end up using for your floor? I would love to quiet mine down!
I ended up here as I was reminiscing about my previous cars including the 2005 Element and all the versatility. This video is just great, you seem like a great person and I enjoy how much you appreciate and love your car. Cheers!
One of the nicest comments I have ever received. Thank you I wanted to be honest and I am glad you enjoyed. I'm sure you had great adventures in your Honda Element.
If you fold the rear seats and push the front seats forward, you could put a twin mattress. I bet that is the reason you have the rear moon roof
We have put a twin mattress in the back and it fits perfectly lol 😆
Looove this car, such a nice job you've done with it
@TimGowTV thank you so much! You have no idea how happy we get to hear messages like this. You know at one point we almost sold our element when I was financially struggling.
So very clean!
You keep it looking so good.
Thanks Brian! It's been inside the garage alot lately.
@@ReadySetElement I’m still looking forward to the next time we can work on mine.
@Brian Thompson I know hopefully soon we can plan something out again. We are kind of far from each other, otherwise I would detail your E all the time 😊
Our 2004 Element is perfect for moving the kayak and other small boats and for taking dogs to the beach. Easy clean up inside.
Can’t wait for the next one bro! Keep it in this was a dope watch
Mine is a 04’ EX in orange. Bought used with 140,000. I swapped out the stock gauge lights for LED in ice blue per Element Lifestyle. Big difference! Also the dome and map lights. Then I got all exterior LED lights. The headlamps are tricky not to be aimed too high. I got the Element seat covers, like yours, expensive, but nice. I had to buy an Amazon roof rack for my canoe, cheap, the rubber boots don’t fit perfect, but it’s solid and works fine. I removed the plastic roof garnish bits, underneath was full of pine needles and crap, gave it a wax and reinstalled. Even the skylight drain holes were plugged. I saw a video where the guy pulls out his rear seats, and swapped right for left and installed them to face backward, for lounging. Alex Kolipinski on TH-cam. Fun cars, I can’t believe I didn’t buy one sooner. Cheers from Chicagoland!
Nice video. I have been deciding whether or not to get a hood deflector. I will be definitely getting one now.
The AVS brand was very easy to install in my opinion its definitely worth it. I wish I could of done it sooner. My poor Hood has so many dings from the road 😢
Love this info. I’m wanting to get seat covers for the front seats but don’t won’t to lose my back pockets and bungee cord area. Can you please let me know if those accessories can still be used if I get those seat covers you have installed? Thanks.
I am so sorry I missed this comment! To answer your question yes you can still use the back pockets it won't effect it. Hope this helps 🙏
I'm here for the tailgate part.
Simple living
Imma get one for myself next year!!
How awesome! Enjoyed this😊
Thank you so much!
I still have my ‘08 SC, low miles, all stock OEM and i love it. Two things i don’t like: 1. Gas mileage sucks 2. It’s getting hard to find parts. Even Honda doesn’t make a lot of them anymore. I may have to sell my Element simply because i may not be able to maintain it if there are no replacement parts.
I feel you on that! We went to the American Honda Hall Collection and Honda heard us out by our concerns on lack of parts. Hopefully thry can consider making more parts.
Less is always better. So difficult to do. Kudos for minimizing!
Nice video if you don’t mid me asking what size of tires did you put your 16inch rims ?
Great question I have the Falken Wildpeaka All terrain 215/70R16 they look big and don't suck up your gas. No mods needed.
Dude your intro music was top notch.
Best comment ever thank you 🙏
Mine is the same color but I have rear sunroof and AWD. The console is necessary and so is a rear camera.
I can't find the table on the side door anywhere on element driven site.
elementdriven.com/products/flip-up-swing-out-e-window-table-shelves-rear-quarter-window-for-2003-11-elements
As a new Element owner I agree with you. Not to knock anyone's build at all, but I just love how these these elements look stock
Glad to know I'm not the only who thinks that way. Thanks for watching by the way we appreciate you taking the time out of your day to leave a comment it really helps us out.
I have some time off in August. I plan on taking the BENTOBOX on a nice road trip. Maybe there'll be a meet or something I can attend
For those who have families, how do you utilize your Honda Element for travel or camping purposes?
For travel I ditch the unused seats, and got an oversized rubber floor mat I trimmed to fit. Keeps things from sliding around and makes the cabin much quieter on long highway drives. Thinking about getting some 17's from an accord next to help the gearing a bit without a huge sidewall. I've slept in the back seats or on a foam mattress on top of em, or a blow up when the seats are out.
@@nobodynoone2500 Thank you for sharing, this is so helpful. I always wonder what other people do when traveling. I had bought some 17 inch wheels from a 2015 accord EX but had trouble with the fitting I had them on the element for a few months but the ride was more rough. I ended up going back to the 16's and got the wildpeaks instead. I should have gotten wider tires like a 235 instead of the 215s but they are still good.
I have a daughter who still needs a carseat. We make sure we all pack a bag each. Husband, my daughter and myself. To sleep we fold the seats up, put her car seat in the passenger seat with our bags on top. If any other big/bulky items need to be brought they go on top of the car as we have a rack. We have padded mats we lay down, then covers. We sleep comfortably.
Does the back seat recline back? Not meaning flat. But like 180 back
Yes it has different adjustments, so you can recline it to your liking 👍
Where did you get the back window shelves ?.
Those are from Elementdriven they have different colors and options 😁
no center rear seat for US version plus sized
How you do table for read in back seat...?
I will have a ebook pulled up on my laptop or tablet and use it as my desk.
I was considering the Element as a choice over a mini van, to use for mobile knife sharpening.. got any ideas?
I got it when I was doing mobile detailing and it's perfect. The only thing is mpg isn't the greatest but it can be converted so easily for your needs.
We have this and a Toyota van. Donating our wonderful Honda van to an animal rescue group. Of the three, any would work for your business. You’d have more space in the mini van but the Element might work. I need to point out that parts are an issue with the Element. Parts are readily available for both of our vans. I believe our friend’s animal rescue will be better off with the Honda Odyssey for that reason, although the floor is carpeted. It can be covered. You need to consider that in your future use.
In 06 I bought a new ElementEXP. No I didn’t try to modify of live in it. It was always a Unh when ever I saw one.
I guess I talked myself into it but I bought one. To me it was a SUV with a Civic trim level. Very basic. Get a light tap on the front bumperetts and the bracket will poke through the rubber. It had a very , yes very soft ride. Mileage was that of my 08’Caddy that I bought next. Very very basic interior, perhaps to basic for me. It is what it is.🏖️
Same it's nice for the space nothing special inside or out but has definitely been a reliable car. I think it's the better boxy car out there I'm my opinion.
Have others encountered the problem of desiring more but never feeling content?
You mean being h*rny?
New sub here, what year is your Element? Awesome video btw.
Thank you for joining our adventures 😊
It's a 04 and now has about 180k miles I am the second owner been a great car.
Gasoline is not kinda expensive, it's unnecessarily HIGH...you know why.
Gas just went up in my area at $6.50
@@ReadySetElement high man...unnecessary.
Corporate greed
Why is it so high in Germany, Canada, and countless other countries. China is paying $12+ a gallon…
Gas is $2.90 here as of today in my area in NJ
Beautiful element and color. I should of never sold my 2007 at 130k miles.........Best car I ever owned
I almost sold mine and man I would have regretted it.
@ReadySetElement We inherited a 2004 Honda Element with 130,O00 miles from my father in law. We always loved it. He alone drove it and more than half of the miles were highway. He was extremely good about maintenance. The only problem was a leak which he had silicone sealed around the roof antenna. We took it to a body shop to learn the entire roof and door panel were rusted inside where you can’t see it. Told it’s a manufactured flaw around the seal. I don’t really understand that as my husband spoke to the body shop man. Was told no parts are available. My husband wants to try to do something himself now that he’s retired. Do you know anything about this issue. We love the vehicle and want to pass it along to our grown daughter eventually.
I miss this car
I wonder if Honds could ever bring it back 🤔
I checked out the seat covers over on Amazon and saw this: "Cannot be used with seats with side airbags" Looking at your seats and where the covers sit, I don't see a problem using them. Can you comment on that please?
I've seen so many elements with these Seat covers. I don't think you should have an issue. Almost every element meet up I've been to I've seen people with these covers.
I have 2008 135,00 miles Runs great $7000 OBO
Where do you live ? Maybe we can do a video of your E ? 😁
hey bro what year is this and how many miles did it have on it
Hi @007jjj 👋
It's a 2004 EX 2nd owner and I got it with under 120k miles and currently now has 189k
Pride of ownership is what I would go for. Is your Element lifted?
Hi @LyleZ-j1gu Our Element is all stock 😁
NGL, I kept my old element ugly because It was a target. I did straightpipe it though. That was fun n it was extremely loud. Like too damn loud😂
So, are you planning on getting rid of your roof tent??
Yes we were trying to sell our roof top tent and awning
I want one but they’re hard to find
I would suggest check Facebook market place and offerup. What area are you in I can help look around 😁
@@ReadySetElement I’m in dallas
where you bought the sticker of i-vtec ???
My wife makes them on the cricket machine it came out nice right ?
@@ReadySetElement yeah they look good
Yes we keep the back seats cuz we don't know who's going to COME in our car😂😂😂
Nice one
I want the table attached on the back window.
Should I make a video showing it up close ? It was so easy to install.
@@ReadySetElement Yes,please!
I wish I had a dollar for each time you said Honda Element. Maybe you thought we didn't know what the model is called? lol
Lol it's for the youtube algorithm 🤫
Nervousness??
dont be a hater
Love the post, but you don't have to say "Honda Element" or "Element" every 10 seconds.
Promise I will be better 🤣
Thought my head was going to explode. Otherwise great production.
haters
Rubber floor mats are so convenient because you never know who’s going to “come” inside your car.😉
I've been using the weather tech ones from Costco they work well.
I saw what you did there.
God I miss mine....so much it hurts.
I hear that alot from previous owners. Would you ever consider getting another again ?
Less is more!!!
just living seeing you few times wiping get some 07-11 E midels sets with with set belt on them its simple
and dont have to SC colorway
enjoy
Thanks for watching 😁
Where the seat belts that were connected to the seats comfortable? I used to have an 06 element and the one thing I liked about the seatbelt on the door was that it had the height adjustment. And I didn't mind taking it off to let somebody out of the back I if I wasn't getting out myself.
What were you wrong about?
Thinking I needed all these material things would make me happy. I am happy living a simple life without worrying about buying the next new gadget.
The perfect car for Hobbits
Well then maybe that’s why I like it. Several inches under five feet. BUT my father in law was 6’5 and he and my 6’ husband like the high ceiling. Headroom is important to them. And there’s lots of adjustment for long legs or short ones!
you sit on the headrest of the back seat and your passengers are gonna be sitting in a seat with a headrest that smells like butt. not good bro
So what will you post up now, since you went all out upgrading your car and now back pedaled?? People looked forward to the upgrades.. is the channel over????
Channel might be over but I'm trying to make a big come back.
