I'm not 100% but I think if you look at the wires going in to the speakers and see what color they are you will be able to see the same color at the wiring harness that hooks to the radio
I haven't yet ... What button would I have to push for that? Then I could try it not aware it had radio like that. I paid $50 on Ebay for it so it was the best deal ever for me
Howcome you didnt have the famous "VIN Loc" after you changed radios? I bought a used impala radio for my 2007 Impala SS and the radio is locked? Any suggestions?
My friends having same issue. Seems from reading if cables are taken off before removing the radio it then locks the radio to that VIN/CAR. And the only way to fix that is taking to dealership or someone/shop who has the proper machine to reprogram ;(
If you don't disconnect the battery it will lock the radio, it's a security measure the radio can't be hooked up once it's locked and has to be unlocked to use it again, and also it's safer if you touch the wiring it won't cause a short
If your Malibu has a security system be sure to get a plug and play radio or you will have to go to a dealer to get it programed, also remove the battery cables first before you mess with it
I got mine a factory radio off E-Bay for $50 and it was plug and play.Go on E-Bay and type your car make model and radio and it will show you everyone that is selling radios that will fit your car, search around to get what is best for you
Did the satellite radio work on the replacement radio? The one you took out wasn't satellite radio capable but the replacement in the video is satellite radio ready. Does the satellite radio work?
No problem. I'm looking to replace the radio that is like your broken one with one like your replacement. I like it better because the replacement radio plays mp3 CDs and it has satellite radio.

I have the same problem with my 2011 Chevy impala LTZ CD player. I just ordered a new CD player from LKQ
What size socket did u use to unscrew 4 or 6 screws when you was taking the old stereo out ?
