I love to clean the inside and outside of the fridge. I mean I take all the shelves out and wash them and wipe down the inside and spend like 40 minutes putting the food back in organized. I know it's weird but I find this so relaxing. Y'all pray for me OK.
Once again, you made me get off my couch and tidy my kitchen. Thanks, Kay. Seriously, you are an inspiration to me. Just the kick in the pants I needed.
My favorite is tidying up. I do that all throughout the day as I am doing other tasks. It is different from actual cleaning (I know), but looking around and seeing an uncluttered space makes any place look automatically cleaner. Without all the crud laying around everywhere, it is always easy to do a 15-20 minute power clean right before company arrives.
I'm not sure what my favorite cleaning chore is...probably when I deep clean something because you get to see the huge difference (like you mentioned leaving things to be a more satisfying cleaning experience) of before and after. So cleaning something very dirty when I am in the mood to do some serious cleaning! 😀😅
I love to fold laundry and load the dishwasher. I think it's because I can pop TH-cam on while doing both, and with laundry it's like re-bonding with my clothes and remembering all my favorite things.
I like to clean my stainless cookware and my CorningWare. A little baking soda and some dish liquid on a soft sponge I scrub them inside and out. My CorningWare is so white and my pans sparkle. Next time I cook my heart is happy :)
Oh how I envy people who love cleaning!! I don't like any of the chores either. However I have to say, because I have dark wood, dusting is the most satisfying thing to push through in my house from day to day.
My favorite thing to clean is the bath mats! Giving them a good shake outside or a wash, it makes the bathroom look so fresh! Especially because I have a cat, litter inevitability always end up in there 😩
I bought a cheap battery operated face washer from the dollar store. I was fairly certain that it would be to abrasive for my skin, but it is perfect for cleaning. I bought an extra one for my kitchen.
Probably laundry is my favorite, folding and putting away is just so satisfying. My fave all-purpose cleaner is Simple Green, we use it for just about every hard surface. Dr. Bronners Castile soap for spot cleaning carpets and couches. Vinegar cleaner for glass. I absolutely concur on the Dyson, just buy one! Mine's going on 14 years old and still going strong!
Melissa Maker and The Laundress are responsible for me being a cleaning junkie, lol. I hated cleaning it was a chore from childhood that gave me bad memories 🤣 now I like cleaning. I love to do laundry and I finally got a washer and spin dryer in my apartment so I'm really happy. I think The Laundress is an elegant and sophisticated line of products and I've used them for about 6 years and I love it. 💕
If you’re going for more eco-friendly cleaning options I would recommend getting a guppyfriend washing bag for your microfiber cloths because microfiber can leach into the water stream and washing bags prevent that

Just recently found your channel after moving into my new home and wanting to get organized. Absolutely love your personality and all your great information. I hate cleaning 😁 but you're making me want to dig in! Keep up the great work! Love your smile.
My favourite cleaning job is to clean the bread maker as there's a loaf there ready to eat. The second is mopping the kitchen floor, bathroom and hall as this somehow makes me feel all is well.
Fun and informative! Have you tried OdoBan cleaners/sanitizers/disinfectants? I am a new fan, especially the linen scent. It’s all-in-one, less toxic, and one gallon of concentrate goes a long way... even for laundry!
While reading other people favorite chrores I really wish delegatin chores through time and space would be possible. :D Cleaning the toilet is the chore I'd do most willingly, washing dishes and vacuuming are my true nemeses.
LOL! I totally gave my Sims self the “neatness trait” too! Love Melissa & Chads cloths they’re AWESOME! Caldrea’s gilded balsam birch” is my “laundress” drug of choice. Couldn’t live without my Dyson… on the fence? JUST BUY IT! I’ve had mine for seven years now and never looked back. Great video thanks Kay! Wishing you good health as you continue to heal.
My Dyson's battery went kaputz at almost exactly one year old, and I had to use the warranty to get a new one. Hopefully it doesn't happen again and it was just a fluke because one year is a travesty for a machine so expensive. I only had it since dec 2018. But luckily it was very easy to get ahold of Dyson and explain that it was a gift so I didn't have the receipt but I did have the manual and warranty card etc. Good customer service.
I complain when I clean and sometimes I curse. My husband will cut on his favorite music, sing, and dance when he cleans. He claims I should clean with a grateful heart. I roll my eyes and walk out the room.
Recently, I’ve been into vacuuming. I also like to clean/disinfect surfaces at the end of each night..very satisfying! Thanks for this update to your cleaning routine!
I am a new subscriber. I have been watching several of your videos today and will be binge watching the next few days. I used to love to clean, but I have major chronic pain and have a hard time doing much of anything. I also do a lot of crafting and have a tiny apartment. So, I have accumulated too much stuff for too little space. I need to hire you to come organize my apartment for me! I'm not too far from boston lol. New Hampshire!
Great vid. My favourite cleaning combo is baking soda with Dr Bronners Castille liquid soap as a paste for degreasing the bath, kitchen hob or underside of the kitchen washing-up bowl. Am wondering if hubby or Clover are on cleaning duty while you recover ! My grandma's neighbour had a super smart collie dog who could sweep the yard with a broom. Although given the Bean's stature, am thinking it most likely he takes charge of the robot cleaners and rides them round your condo :-) xxx
I like vacuuming because of the cool lines the vacuum cleaner leaves on the carpet after you have cleaned an area. Otherwise, cleaning sucks, but I do LOVE a clean home so I clean and clean again.😜
My favorite part is cleaning the island and kitchen counters. I just feel like looking at it, sitting there and taking a deep scented breath of apple cider Mrs Meyers (Right now). I can’t wait to try the laundress cleaner ✨#cleaningaspirations 😂
Love this video. I’ve switched over to the O Cedar mop and I LOVE IT! Showed my mom and she went out and got one also. My dads still old school...mop and bucket🤣
I had that vacuum but it ended up breaking. We had it repaired but it did not last long after that. It was a bummer. My Husband did a bunch of research and found a shark pet vacuum and I actually love it more. It is the best vacuum. I was very pleasantly surprised. After my remodel is done I want to get a roomba.
My favorite cleaning activity is vacuuming - it makes a noticeable difference, freshens up the whole house, and I can just put on headphones and listen to a podcast while I work 🙂 Also excited to see those OXO brushes on your list, I've had them on my wish list for a while but couldn't decide if they were dumb or not 😂
I really, really, really dislike cleaning but love a clean home. Once you do it, then you have do it over and over so in essence cleaning is never ending 🤷🏽♀️. However, My favorite chore is making the bed because there is not much more delightful than fresh, clean sheets. Btw - love your tshirt! Where did you get it?
My favorite thing to clean is the kitchen sink. The feeling I get from a clean, EMPTY sink is wonderful. Don't forget to take out the garbage disposer's rubber splash guard. The side you can't see gets slimy, smelly, and gross.
Love to mop floors, makes the whole house feel clean. Also have you tried The Pink Stuff, I just ordered it (it's on back order). My friends swear by it to remove stains and to clean your stove top and oven.
Hi Kay! Great video today. I clean as a side gig and have been wondering if the Maker's Micro Fiber towels are worth the price. Are they hard to use and care for? Special laundering or can you use regular detergent? I bought Norwex and they scare me to death! LOL "do this, don't do that, wash them only the 3rd full moon of the year!! (jk) I just want a good reliable cloth without all of the madness. Thanks in advance for your input.
I'm wondering the same thing! With cat/dog hair, I find general microfibers super hard to keep "hair/fuzzy" free. I still find hair on the towels even after laundering. I'm wondering how this brand and the different weaves hold up being thrown in with regular cotton cleaning towels.
Just wanted to let you know that you can actually wash the swiffers in the washing machine. The shape changes slightly but they still work great. Don’t use fabric softener on them!
Cleaning helps me feel good afterwards, but I am not always in the mood to clean. I like to do little bits of cleaning each day, so I do not feel overwhelmed with big tasks. I must clean my bathroom sink every morning after brushing my teeth. Yes, I am weird about that. That is just me.😊
Can the Maker's cloths be tossed in with regular wash or do they need to be run separate (like Norwex)? I'm so tempted to give Maker's cloths a try. I feel that you or Melissa would not steer me wrong!
I love to clean especially early in the morning, but my issue is the piles of put away later issues..... so annoying. Every room has a pile. I just want to throw things away.
I’ve recently made a habit of picking up my house and putting things away before I go to bed. It puts me in a better mood when I get up in the morning and makes the actual cleaning chores easier because nothing much is out of place..of course, I live alone so that makes the job much easier.
