I buy the laundress all-purpose cleaner. Because it's concentrated, I spread it out by mixing it with water and white vinegar. Works really well, and the scent is still there.
I use The Laundress by clean my department, washing my clothes and dishes too. It is worth the money! So far yet not bought The Laundress for the bathroom and toilet.
I pour Barkeepers Friend into a glass jar and then spoon it out when I use it, because it's super-fine and goes airborne quickly. During the pandemic, I discovered that wearing a mask for pouring keeps it out of my nose and mouth, so I no longer have the dilemma of getting a white lung disease or having sparkling pans. It's the only thing that gets my All Clad pans clean.
I might adopt this idea! It is CRAZY airborne even though it's AMAZING at what it does. When I use it I feel like I'm back in the Orgo Chem lab though lol
Thank you so much for being scientifically accurate when talking about chemicals! Irks me so much when people talk about things being full of chemicals and therefore bad. All things are made of chemicals!
We use hydrogen peroxide at the hospital to remove blood stains on our scrubs, it doesn’t “bleach” the colors out. I use pretty much everything you presented, LOVE Mrs. Meyers Lemon Verbena Laundry Soap and All Purpose Cleaner; Dawn Dish Soap (original) and baking soda is made into a soft scrub for my bathtub, shower, toilet and kitchen porcelain sink and then after a good rinse I wipe again with vinegar (I make my own scented vinegar with lemon slices - put in a jar with the lemon slices and let sit for a week or two and it smells delicious).
My favorite combo to clean the toilet bowl, bathroom sink , shower walls , shower doors , bathtub is 50/50 vinegar and dawn . Removes all the hard water without harsh chemicals
Get yourself a mesh laundry garment bag and you'll never hand wash sweaters again. I put my even most delicate items in those bags and toss them in the wash (I still use the gentle cycle) and I have never have a problem.
Thank You for doing this video, I use all of these in my cleaning as well, they all work great! I buy a separate spray head and put it right on the Hydrogen Peroxide bottle. I am allergic to bleach, so I never have bleach in my house.
My Favorite cleaning products are, Dawn Dish Soap, Baking Soda, Vinegar, I just need to learn more about Hydrogen Peroxide, but these are my go to and staples!
I just tried the Mrs Meyers bathroom cleaner . It's the first cleaner I've used that I didn't have to open the windows and take a shower immediately afterward. Thank you very much.
HI, Kate, just wanted to share a home remedy for clogged toilets that works for me. Pour1-1 1/2 cups dish detergent (i perfer Dawn since it's concentrated) in toilet, 1 cup vinegar (any type), & 1 cup baking soda.. Leave alone with lid closed for as long as possible. After enough time has passed, pour hot buckets of water slowly. When you see the hot water is flushing through you can use toilet handle to flush. This has always worked for me. Take care & thanks for sharing your tips.
Great tips Kay! Hydrogen peroxide is excellent for removing pet stains. If my cat throws up I clean up the mess and then pour undiluted hydrogen peroxide directly on the stain and blot it up with paper towels. I leave it to air dry and the stain disappears and it doesn't discolor my carpet at all. I've been doing this for over 15 years in several different homes. It doesn't seem to work on other stains, just "organic" stains...what I might also refer to as protein-based stains and plat-based stains.
I didn't know Bon Ami was still around. It was called Jet Bon Ami back in my day. My mom used it for everything. I am a great fan of Mrs Meyers too. Basil is my favorite scent. I get all from Grove Collaborative. Seventh Generation has non-chlorine bleach, if your tired of spending alot of money. I have so many microfiber cloths, I could open my own store. I love using them with my Swiffer. That way i don't have to buy the Swiffer refills every month. Thanks for your tips.
Health Science graduate here, I was literally screaming yes to every point to what you were saying. Organic chem and microbio were my fav subjects, so everything that was said I was like YAS GRL!!!!!!! Thank you so much for uploading this video!!!!!!!!
I totally stocked up on Mrs. Meyers Iowa Pine! I think I have enough to last till summer! As far as I’m concerned, it’s not a Christmas scent, but an Oregon pine forest fragrance which is great all year round.
I love your science behind your products!! One thing I thought I might share, I noticed your candle, and wanted to share that candles release formaldehyde into the air to breathe, so you should never burn it for more than 2 hours at a time, but other methods of smell goods are better for you all together.
Be careful using tea tree oil around puppy. I think it can be toxic to dogs. Probably in large amounts, but I wouldn’t try to clean dog toys or dishes with tea tree oil or tea tree oil added to the cleaner. Someone claimed ( but might be a coincidence) that tea tree oil in their diffuser made their dog sick ( small dog). But ingesting tea tree oil ( like licking toys that have been cleaned with it) is not good for dogs.
Thank you for mentioning essential oils around pets. I'd like to add that you should never use any essential oils around birds or small rodents. It can be a deadly situation for them.
You said you love microfiber clothes, just saying check out Maker's microfiber clothes. You can get them online they are absolutely amaizing and the maker of them is also a you tuber. Melissa Maker from clean my space.she also has microfiber dish towels
I love Dr. Bronner’s and Mrs. Meyers products! I use Woolite for delicate and wool hand washing. It’s cheaper than many others and more importantly, gets the job done!
Mrs Meyers love their products:) I'm probably going to buy some new microfiber cloths. Where is a good place to buy good quality not expensive? Love ur channel
jewelz white Home Depot carries a pack of blue microfiber cloths, which do the job quite well. Also, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods tend to have a nice selection as well.
This was very informative. Currently, I confess I have very harsh chemicals for cleaning. But, as soon as I'm done using them up. I will start my Cleaning Arsenal with a majority of the products you mentioned here. I have suffered with eczema from using harsh chemicals along with latex gloves. So, it will be a Very Nice Change to start using more natural types of cleaning products. Hugs to you and the Bean. Will let you know how my newer way of cleaning works out.
bon ami is the least abrasive yet cuts grease from any hard surface or dish or pan, use it dry to polish aluminum sink and then rinse. I don't know why it works better it just does. mom was born in 1914 her mother used before mom was born. weirddddd
Great video, I use a few of these products too, Bon Ami Cleanser is great, love Mrs. Myers too, I did get the Iowa Pine, and love the other scents. Thank you for sharing all this information. Will look into Freshwave Laundry Additive.
My favorite by far are the ecloths for kitchen, stove and dusting. They work wonders! I also was in love with barkeepers for my tub, but will try the bon AMI thanks for explaining the difference. The other thing I do is pour baking soda in a pot add a little water let sit and any burnt on stuff comes right out. Great video!!!
Great video! I'm curious about the clean and then disinfect. Is that because there's no point in disinfecting the grime being taken away so less disinfectant can be used just on the surface? Wondering why it's better than combining the products. I like that you gave the cheap and expensive options. Sometimes it's nice to get the fancy version to give ourselves the feeling that cleaning is somehow part of a lux lifestyle :) Getting a nice bottle and some essential oils to have that feeling more economically is a great idea too
I've had pretty good results with just water and a microfiber cloth, but I do it fairly often. I'm always surprised at how much stuff gets on there all the way from the stovetop!
I buy the laundress all-purpose cleaner. Because it's concentrated, I spread it out by mixing it with water and white vinegar. Works really well, and the scent is still there.
Also, I am a disorganized tenor!
I love baking soda for cleaning.🧽
My first job after high school was in a hospital kitchen. We used alcohol to disinfect all the metal surfaces.
I use The Laundress by clean my department, washing my clothes and dishes too. It is worth the money! So far yet not bought The Laundress for the bathroom and toilet.

I'll have to try it.

I’m looking for a recommendation for cleaning tile floors. Do you have a suggestion? TY 😊
Bona makes awesome hardwood and tile cleaner as well!

which essential oils and what brand do you use that is safe for pets. I have 3 dogs
I use Aura Cacia and avoid any of the "hot" oils (cinnamon, clove, garlic) but talk to your veterinarian above anyone! They will know best!
The Organized Soprano Thanks Kay I appreciate you getting back to me ❤️

Bingo! I just got a couple of Microfiber cloths at Marshall's from Casabella that are AMAZING! They are fuchsia colored and such great quality!
Auto parts stores are excellent places to buy them and they are a bit bigger in size usually. I use them for kitchen wash cloths as well as cleaning.
👍👍👍😍😍😍 goingto check out your ideas. Thank you for sharing. Have a warm and safe weekend.
