This is brilliant. I have a long boxing background, but I did train extensively in muay Thai for a year solid (nothing special I know). When people say Muay Thai fighters can't punch😂 absolutely love the Muay matt style, your channel is gold.
Love the analogy that "the pad man shouldn't feel how hard you're trying to punch, he should just feel how hard the punch is" makes so much sense.
I currently only get to train shadowboxing and these are exactly the lessons I try to learn from it. Great vid!
Great to hear that the Library project is helping! Thanks for the good words.
As a beginner to Muay Thai, I can't thank you enough for these informative videos.
Great content! I really enjoy how you show the nuances and complexity of striking in your commentary.
Smaransak master ..He now teaching Muay Thai in Samart Payakaroon Muay Thai GYM . Im meet him. Last week.
Special thank to this great video to sad that we are getting older and cannot learn all of this amazing styles
Can’t find the legendary muangsurin gym anywhere. It doesn’t exist anymore?
His attention to detail is impressive and so is yours. good stuff. I’ve had the opportunity to watch and get some pointers from Anuwat train back in the day. A lot of similarities.
Really nice video thank you very much !
Time to visit this gym! I want to learn from him! 🙏🏼
Are you currently in Thailand?
@@8limbsUs Unfortunately not! I want to go back again. Does he have a gym he teaches out of? Thanks again! 🙏🏼
@@Sevensliders he only teaches privates, he's in Bangkok. When you get back to Thailand if he's available I can try to help arrange a session then.
@@8limbsUs Thank you very much! Absolutely appreciated! 🙏🏼
This looks pretty much like what I train at kickboxing. Is Dutch-style kickboxing and muay maat the same thing? ;)
Hi! please more Samart and more Samingnum
Hi Sylvie, I'm really interested in the Muay Maht style since I'm built like a tree trunk, I'm all torso. Do you recommend any specific gyms/trainers in Thailand to if I want to focus mostly on this? Thanks for the informative vids! Always killing it!
Hi mate I’m not Sylvie but I share your question I’m around 5’8 but I’m rather broad shouldered and stocky and have good punching power I’d say if I could offer my opinion you could try Lakhin Wassandasit’s gym he was a terrifying muay matt who terrified everyone with his punching power
she taught me how to stand properly
how much would you say you have been able to implement all these teachings on fight night? you learn from so many different styles does it tend to be the muay khao golden masters whose tips you remember most?
The beat upper master is Juan Manuel marquez look him up
Thanks for share, great content!
Will there ever be a tall Muay maat?
Raktae Muangsurin is pretty tall for a Thai at 5'10" (177.8 cm)
@@8limbsUs yeah just saw his vids , not much videos of him here either
Hi Sylvie, the brother or Friend is name Sep muangsurin or name of camp fight ?
I don't understand your question. Muangsurin is the name of the gym.
@@8limbsUs oulala so sorry i don't know what i mean, i'm confusing when i see my sentence and forget to erase "the brother or Friend is name Sep" and Say the name Muangsurin is a camp ?" Thank you for your response and Always great job for all video thaï boxing krab 🙏
Hey Sylvie what do you think about using the long guard as a shorter fighter is it still useful or not ?
Yes, it is.
Was he trained at the same muangsurin gym which produced saensak
Yes, a gym of heavy hittings.
Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu - Muay Thai real shame what happened to him towards the end of his life, he would have been a great addition to the library
@@maomaoliang saensak the greatest fighter produced by the muangsurin camp
น้าราญ ยังแกร่งอยู่เลยนะ
How to contact him for training tq
Are you in Thailand?
@@8limbsUs sorry Sylvie I'm from north Malaysia .neighbour country to Thailand..Bangkok is just a flight away ..
@@Muniswarannn if you come to Bangkok send me a DM on Facebook or Instagram and I can help set up a private.
@@8limbsUs appreaciate it Champ..
Would love more chatchai videos
This is dutch style !!!
No
Can you explain 7:23? He's telling you to step before you throw the cross? Why? Closing distance?
Exactly. If you don't step, your cross isn't going to land. You have to follow through & bring your whole body towards your opponent.
@@fkin8shyt I'm just kind of confused by this because if you're in the pocket this won't always be the case. You'd stuff your own punches.
I assume this concept only applies to when your cross is outside of the pocket?
@@BootyBot indeed this only applies when you're outside the pocked. when you're in the pocket you only pivot your back leg.
Trigger step from Jack Dempsey...this is the most powerful cross you can throw (it has momentum), when you're already in the pocket you only throw it with the "shoulder whirl", not nearly as powerful...it has different timing (as Sylvie describes it with a similar feeling of a 1-2) and applications
Sylbie have you seen on this video what do you can do better?
😁👍🥊💯
Yo are you the gym in Belmont?
@@ededdison8965 no I’m in SF. This is my other TH-cam channel tho. I have two. And I see what you’re saying tho, that is similar name to that Belmont gym on El Camino real
