I've been doing MT for a long time - late 70s when I was in secondary school in Southeast Asia, then paused for several years before picking it up again in the mid-80s, this time in California with Kru Puk. What I love about MT are the nuances, regardless of whether one is a Muay Khao, Femur, or Mat type of fighter. I love all your videos, as they inspire me to continue working out. I subscribed to your Muay Thai Library Project on Patreon. Lots of gold nuggets for MT practitioners. For those of you who have yet to subscribe, I highly recommend it.

Its so cool to find techniques that are cutting edge in mma meta having existed in other styles, even identical in their usage against jab. This low low kick, is so similar to the mma variant really highlights something i love about martial arts and the beautiful fact that nothing is new!

Hi sylvie what % would you say pros do hard sparring and playful sparring in thailand?

Hard sparring is with pads an it isnt hard because they have to save themselves for fights, they train harder individually then they do spar.. when they spar is them trying to utilize their fav techniques or moves an what they think will match the other fighters techniques.. in thailand they really dont get to see the other fight until the weigh in or days before the fight ..
