I had heard Perry had been complaining over the last several shows about being drowned out by the guitars. Perry stated that he couldn't even hear himself sing. At this particular moment it's been said that Perry was fucked up & blew his stack because he was once again drowned out by the music. But it may have been Dave's decision to do that to cover up his bad vocals. It's hard telling what really went on. But Shane's take is always creative & funny. He also covers history too. Smash that thumbs up! 👍
@@thebluesrockers I understand the “I can’t hear myself” complaint but that wouldn’t be directed towards the band… they have a team of sound engineers and monitor people… it’s clear from all the clips I’ve watched from this tour that the band still rocks but Perry is having a very tough time pulling it off, consistently
@@ryanwade2you That's true. it's not like Dave Navarro is setting up his gear and plugging it in. But he may have told the engineer to bump him up...wtf knows
@@MB-oc1nw I’d argue that the sound engineer (mixer) is burying the vocals to mask the poor performances… the stage monitor mix is a different story, but you direct that to the crew, not the band! Dave had probably been telling him to “get it together, dude” and Perry doubled down instead… sad
Nothing’s shocking anymore 😢sad I was going to see them in a couple weeks but I agree and fear that was the last night they’ll ever play together. Perry notorious for chugging 1/2 bottles of wine before and during shows, combined with Perry admit a week before that something was wrong with his voice and that he couldn’t sing anymore. Still a boneheaded regretful move and glad that he apologized to Dave, the band and fans, but it’s too late baby now it’s too late.
I like Janes Addiction but only a hand full of songs. Ocean Size, Mountain Song and a few others of the first album. They really changed the scene when they came out I couldn't tell you one song after Porno For Pyros which I didn't think much of it. That first record is a killer though.
Geez, the bad blood I witnessed live onstage at the Monsters Of Rock Tour in '88 between Don Dokken and George Lynch was absolutely nothing compared to this shtf spectacle. George basically acted like Don wasn't there (unfortunately he acted like the crowd wasn't there either and didn't give a wave, thumbs up, or even a smile to the audience). Dokken sounded great as a whole and George shredded like a guitar god, but the writing was on the wall and they broke up less than a year later. I would think the odds that Jane's Addiction ever plays another concert are slim to none, and it's a distinct possibility that Perry Farrell isn't long for this world if he doesn't get his demons under control.
Perry isn't looking too healthy. He needs a good meal and perhaps a IV drip or something. Dave looks stunned as heck. He was genuinely shocked you can see it on his face. His eyes are as big as saucers enhanced by that goth makeup. Perry needs a break. His mind is gone. He even sounds off. This is bananas! That dude is too old to be all aggressive. He is gonna break a hip. Come on Perry!
The 2nd guy to grab him was the bass player… Perry’s vocals were terrible… flat on most notes… this had been building over multiple shows… in another video Perry was singing the wrong parts and Dave had to signal him to get him to realize where they were in the song… the wine is definitely affecting him… nothings shocking is one of my all-time favorite albums and definitely changed the landscape (for the better) as it ushered in alternative music to the mainstream, or at least to those of us who were paying attention and ready for it in 1989
Yeah , that was Eric. Perry yells F You at him before going after Dave. Eric started punching him the gut also. I remember seeing them on their final tour back in 1990? They can’t get along with Perry.
Never been a fan of this band or genre. But I have been curious what let up to the headlines. From what I have seen, If this band is to continue, then they will be looking for a new lead singer. CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG
Let's get ready to RRRRUMMMMMMBBBBBLLLLLLE! 😹🤘😵💫 The very second I heard about this story, the first thing I thought was: "hide is turning over in his grave!!!" At the risk of sounding unladylike...hide had a hard-on for this band - there is honestly no other way to put it. I am certain that had he lived, he would have made it a career goal to collab with them, tour with them, or both. And he may very well already had that in his mind, considering in one of the last magazine interviews he did before he passed, he talked about having Zilch tour with/open for Nine Inch Nails as a career goal. Any bets on it coming out that this fight was staged for the sole purpose of putting an early end to the tour and/or the band...OR just to get a huge social media buzz??? I don't trust anything these days....
Dave and Perry had some good brawls back in the ritual era of janes, they really need to retire, I love them but they play the same set every tour, Strays and escape artist are good records but really overproduced,

Yeah OK Whatever....Is no one going to talk about why Perry looks like that old man from Poltergeist II?
he looks a little bit like the son (in the face) from Sleepwalkers right as he's changing to a cat or werewolf whatever it was.

I just heard that Corey Feldman is now the new Jane's Addiction guitar player.

I wonder what the problem is? This is just an unfortunate embarrassing situation.
This is really sad actually. They had big plans as a band that was really exciting for long time fans and that is now all over. 💩
