I met Chris a couple of times. He's a great guy and certainly knows his stuff about TV history and his technical knowledge is amazing. Around 5:20 he's explaining the process in fascinating detail but the presenters frustratingly step in and stop him! It's a shame that TV has to be 'dumbed down' like this.
Pity they weren't in colour. They will probably end up gathering dust in some cellar somewhere as usual. Why don't they upload them to TH-cam so everyone can see them.

I was just thinking that myself. I was drawn in and then wham, they wanted to move on. Shame.
It's one thing finding these lost recordings, but they will probably never be seen by most of us.
I heard that several previously thought wiped shows were found in the U.S. and Canada throughout the years
If Jimmy Savile was the host, odds are pretty good the episodes will be banned for life. Luckily, the Beatles show was hosted by Pete Murray.
Its the same situation as the Australian show countdown

Then we smuggly sit on them and let nobody else see them.
Almost as big a crime as the destruction in the first place.
The TH-cam channel that revealed them never uploaded again after this.
Clueless BBC presenters referring to the Bangor tapes as audio recordings!
