This was a very calming video to watch as it is so peaceful. I have often felt it is Johns mother we should thank for the Beatles, as she taught him to play various musical instruments when he was young. May they all rest in peace 🕯️🌹♥️ Thank you fir sharing this.
Your videos are incredible. All these sights in Liverpool are very sacred, not just the graves but everything. I found seeing Paul's and Mike's mother's grave particularly moving. It got me thinking about how they must have grieved her loss so heavily. I've always heard he was young, but now that I think about it, Paul must have only just turned 14 in the June before she died in the October of 1956, is that right? What a shocking year that must have been for Jim and the boys. We hear a lot about John's grief of his mum, and obviously it had a very turmultuous affect on John the rest of his life, but Paul, by all accounts seems to have grieved very solitarily and quietly, but without a doubt it took a massive toll on the direction of his life. He loves his mum very much and it always touches me when he posts a photo of her on his social media. I heard Mike saying once that Paul was very different after her death and was almost constantly playing the guitar as a way to cope. This sadly, could be how he became so virtuouso like on instruments, by dedicating every moment to it in a way that many wouldn't have time to do, unless you were dealing with some huge life event.. It kind of brings a tear to my eye to think of Paul, July 1957, totally into his music which is comforting him through the loss of his mum just a few months before, strolling around the fete that day unawares his life was about to change, meeting John. John with no idea he was about to lose his mum the following July 1958. Little did they know what fate would become and that they would go on to share all that they did together. Remarkable really.

Beautiful. Thank you for doing this. Very respectful. I was saddened that Paul’s mother didn’t have a headstone. I sang Julia when you showed Julia Lennon’s grave. 💕
I went to Cilla Black grave not longer till she died and didn’t have a headstone. Obviously it took me ages to find her. I had to ask someone to help me and in the end I managed to find her grave. It still had flowers from her funeral on it, and it was just brilliant And I love the headstone that the boys have chosen for their mum?
To find graves is really a difficult job. Often the cemetery is too large (Cilla Black) or there's no name on the headstone (Mary McCartney) or the cemetery is always closed (Brian Epstein) and so on.
How come Paul McCartney , a rich man, did not buy a much more presentable tomb for his mother Mary, than the one that was shown in this video? And isn't it proper that his father Jim is buried beside her? Just asking
Jim, Paul’s Dad, did remarry, but his later wife is still alive: Angie McCartney. She is quite elderly now, but was many years younger than Paul’s Dad, Jim. Not sure if perhaps he bought a different plot, with maybe some future space for Angie, and perhaps Ruth (her daughter/Paul’s “sister” by marriage.
Do you think John should have some say in that? Because he was married to Yoko and talked about death, perhaps he told her where he wanted to be interred and it was right where he is? I think family knows best not us on lookers.

Nice video but it was at least 15 minutes too long. The Stuart Sutcliife video must be years old as now both his mother Millie and sister Pauline are in the grave with their names in-scripted on the headstone.
Not a single mention, on any grave, of the phenomenon that was the Beatles. no glomming on to an association with fame. It's somehow comforting that only the essentials, those they loved and were loved by, that mattered in the end. "And in the end, the love you give is equal to the love you get."
So when they have a headstone with multiple names on them... are all of these people buried in their caskets stacked on top of each other? Or are they all cremated, then the urns buried in the plots? Sorry for the odd question - just not very common to see that here in the US.
In the UK it is possible to have up to three coffins in one grave, perhaps four, it all depends on the ground and the Cemetery but commonly just two, you can scatter as many ashes as you like or even bury them just a few inches under the soil.
Not really common in the U.S. but there are stacked coffins (usually only two) here, typically husband & wife. Don’t forget we have a lot more land here than in the U.K., so side by side graves are the norm. As cemetery prices keep going up, using one grave for multiple coffins will likely become more common.
It is not an easy job to find a grave. Sometimes the cemetery is too large, or there is no name on the grave, or the cemetery is often closed. Anyway the Louise Harrison's grave is in St Wilfrid's Churchyard Grappenhall, Warrington but nobody has found her grave till now. as far as i know louise and her husband were cremated at walton lea crematorium. If you have some more news please let me know.
Surely the local crematorium or ground keepers/ cemetry would have that info on their register. Don't know if they give you that info. You can try to trace through other official records.❤
Does anyone know what address the photo of John & Julia was taken at? Seems to be a grander house than Newcastle Road or the other terraced house she lived in
It was taken at Julias' sisters' house...her name was Anne, known as Nanny, or Nan. Her husband was a professional man and the house was indeed rather grand. It was across the Mersey, I believe in Birkenhead. Johns' cousin Michael lived there.
I cant believe the grave of johns mum the condition and tiny stone is adisgrace . Yoko should put a proper stone there , for john . After all shes rich because of him
With both Julia and her husband John Dykins headstones, its obvious that these small headstones have been added by Daughters Julia and Jackie and perhaps want them to keep them inconspicuous from Fans
If you compare Julia's grave with Bobby Dykins it is possible that originally there was a second stone with her name there before. Maybe it was stolen?
With all the money Paul McCartney has and he never bothered to get either of his parents a headstone. In fact he never attended his fathers funeral. Shame on him.
Several people asked me this question: the place is indicated and illustrated in the book "Liddypool" written by the liverpudlian writer David Bedford. I asked him the same question you are asking me and this was his answer: "We know it is that one because each grave is numbered, and in Mike McCartney’s book he gives the grave number, so I found the layout of the cemetery and worked out which one it was and it fitted with Mike’s description"
