@@MrPhantom1961 You can attend the many shows that the BFI and Kaleidoscope put on. They mostly have to be paid for - because, although no one gets money from these clips, they take an inordinate amount of time and effort - and money - to recover, restore and present.
what's the point in salvaging these programmes if the public then never get to see them?

A number of long lost unofficial Elvis promo films were recovered amongst the haul.
Tony Blackburn doing a pop show on Sky! don't remember that.

I think kaleidoscope then forgot that modern technology exists for them to upload footage on.
