Amaryllis waxed bulbs, plant in garden, how to plant amaryllis bulbs outside

Amaryllis bulbs don't like freezing temperatures! Depending on your climate zone, only plant amaryllis bulbs in the garden in the summer!

This is my first year having a waxed bulb and it bloomed beautifully! The flowers are short, should I plant it this year or will it still thrive next year if I keep it in the wax ?

What time of the year is that you are planting? Which month? Have you done that before in Virginia?

plant after the last frost, full sun location , give some fertilizer and very little water needed. they will thrive in virginia summers ! you will see that they make a lot of foliage, which is good, they need the foliage to grow and develop new blooms.

Why did you cut the first amaryllis stem off the plant and toss it to the ground? It still had flowers that didn't get to open yet. You had other bulbs that had no stems to show, just leaves. I don't like that. Sorry but I give you a thumbs down for doing that.

I know, he just tossed it like it had no use, or if it was trash. Strange days
