As much as I love her, Rodion is second to Heathcliff for me, but once we get another Canto for her (here's hoping for 34 total just like the original Dante's Divine Comedy) she'll pop off for sure
Hot take: canto 1 and 2 aren't meant to be judged by themselves, but as part of a package with canto 3. All three of the cantos are short, and both cantos since then have had 3 parts to them. Rodion's canto has so much comedic relief and gregor's is so depressing because both of them were supposed to be part of the same reading experience, along with sinclair finally being our first pseudo-win being a good ending note for hope in the future. People mock baba yaga for being a bad "final boss," but honestly I think golden apple is even worse in that regard. But neither of them were supposed to be "final bosses" anyways. Both of them were just there to prepare us for kromer. I kinda hate how many people dunk on canto 2 (and apparently, canto 1?) because it's not good or dark enough compared to the others. It exists for a purpose and does it well, it doesn't sacrifice anything because it wasn't meant to be a true chapter for rodion anyways. Rodion, Sinclair and Gregor are all going to be fixed emotionally over time later, they just needed to have their seeds planted first since we can't just start the game with a fourth of the cast reaching enlightenment.
And also, baba yaga's "fight" kinda fits in the narrative. Instead of facing the problems head-on, rodion just runs away from them. Perhaps, Rodion and also Gregor to a lesser extent cantos are still unresolved.
Even taken as a whole i can say the middle part was ass. I don't care if it's supposed to be funny I want to be entertained and it overstayed it's welcome. Then you have the fact that compared to Gregor and Sinclair her sin story was just not that interesting. Honestly it's a testament to how bad it was if it feels like a blip in my memory other than the end. I'm not exagerrating But most importantly i completely disagree all 3 cantos are meant to be taken as a whole because they were released at the same time. Reverse 1999 did the same thing but every chapter blurs together because the previous chapters never end on a conclusive note. Canto 1, 2 and 3 all have a beginning, middle and conclusive end
It's funny to realise I'm the minority in a fandom. My two favorites are Rodion and Canto 2 but they aren't linked. Heck, my friend had to tell me that Canto 2 was supposed to be the same thing for Rodya that Canto 3 was for Sinclair or Canto 1 was for Gregor. I can kinda see it but a large majority of Canto 2 was the casino "heist" and I loved that part to the point that nothing comes close to me. I love silly stuff and Canto 2 up to the actual dungeon was just a fun time from the soundtrack to the story to the fights. I also didn't really think Rodion was robbed that much? Don't get me wrong, the dungeon was a nothingburger and 100% the worst dungeon in the Cantos, but Rodion is constantly in the spotlight during the story of the game. She always has something to say or others have something to say to her or about her. I also feel like comparing Canto 1 with every other Canto is a crime. Canto 1 is basically the tutorial Canto pretty much just setting up what the game is going to be for new players and quizzing them on wether they relied on the ingame tutorial (fail the canto 1 dungeon) or watched outside tutorial sources (finish canto 1 dungeon). I'm sorry to dunk on the in game tutorial but it has waaaay too much emphasis on affinity resonance and not enough on how to even clash properly or resistances.
What I think most people don't realise is that the story tab is labelled Inferno, and if you know anything about the Divine Comedy, it's followed by Purgatorio and Paradiso. Needless to say I think Grgeor and Rodion will have their chance again in a future canto after XIII
As a Yi Sang fan, I am VERY happy to see from this poll how much the fandom loves him. Him having the #2 and #3 drippiest ID was a delight to see! (I voted Spicebrush)
@buttmuncher-cm5tl man did you not see him in the credits for canto 3 😭 he's a competent chef i don't think he'd just eat a bean as funny as it would be
@@buttmuncher-cm5tldude, in book, Meursault would feel awful because he didn't ate any dinner and decided to go sleep, that is one of the few things he would care about
My theory is not that Rodion is not the least liked sinner, just the one who is considered the favorite the least. Like if you had people rank all 12 sinners (Plus Dante I guess), and then averaged all of those scores, I can practically guarantee Rodion would not be last. People like her, she's just not many people's favorite.
I'd recommend letting people vote in a way that lets them rank their favorites/least favorites from long lists. Rodion might not be as many people's favorite character, but she could very well be a surprising number of people's third favorite. This can happen with characters that are widely likable but don't have something that deeply resonates with someone as often.
Yeah, nobody dislikes Rodion, it's just that her character type is hard to be favorite. Gregor's more down to earth. Hong Lu is more carefree. Mersualt provides more comedic straight man. I think Limbus narratively definitely would not be as good without Rodion taking care of the other Sinners. Every end of Canto, she's the one celebrating its end.
Mirror Dungeon Hard doesn't give more Battle Pass XP on subsequent runs but I believe it does still give more Starlight, that's why people would do more than one a week.
for me, little sister don being my favorite has little to do with the fact that she's the first attempt at sin synergy. The mechanic is fine, it works as a trigger, but its more about how she's one of the only units in the game that revolves around *taking hits* and actually being able to do it. Her counter is hype as fuck and pulling it off is satisfying, but using it often requires you to build a team thats able to sustain her while fulfilling the conditions for her to get the counter of consistently in the first place. And since the number 1 way to get big heals without relying on luck is ego resources, it makes resource management much more important. Basically, it adds several layers of thought to the game beyond just "hit enemy with big clash number" or "apply more status before status run out" and I think its a pretty cool step forward from the average gameplay.
• Honestly really surprised that Queecliff didn't get as high as it did. Obviously Der Frey Outis would take first, but I feel like when Queecliff was released everybody was hyped over +3 coin power and +99% damage and more envy synergy and the first mention of Cathy in the story of Limbus. I really thought it would beat Cinqclair at least, since Cinqclair's got Nclair to compete with and his poise isn't really consistent, and P(irate)regor as well, since he was the first season 3 id to be released and is a little stale now. Just hoping that Capshmael lives up to the hype now!!
If this polling was done soon after he was released, he would be #1. It's just hype- that's the only reason why Frei Outis is #1. ESGOO didn't think this through.
@@user-ky2hg7fg4jwouldnt be suprised if frei outis remained relatively the same, unlike heathcliff, freischuts was already exetremely memorable in previous PM games, and theres clearly a larger that came from at least one of the previous that took part in the poll
I don't quite understand the logic of Pequod Heath beating Cinqlair by competing with Nclair given Pequod Heath also competes with a top 3 ID in the game (with the most coins to boot), Rabbit Heath. Even after Season 3 and Pequod Heath's release Quick Suppression is still in best skill in the game. That being said I did agree that I thought the rankings were surprising, personally I think Cinq Outis is the best designed 00 ID in the game by a sizeable margin so having her at second last on the Season 3 ID was unfortunate, though understandably Outis fans would gravitate to Der Outis in all likelihood
You gotta do one of this every mid-season from now on. To compare results, if recency bias in Magic Bullet Outis still prevails, and if Heatcliff can overtake Ishmael's place and so on.
I was someone who started PM from Lobotomy (in the period when they got scammed by the eng translators). The only place to discuss the game was /v/ and I mildly understand the frustation of that last response. When the majority of suggestions now has to filter out shitposts/memes (not that I'm innocent of the occassional gag) to have a genuine discussion. I do think there has to be a place to talk constructively/theorycraft. Lobotomy had so much mystery that left speculation about the world. But few people now theorycraft about it as much. I was also mildy disappointed to hear PM is solely focused on Limbus and isn't currently working on another game. I'm not defending their bad attitude but I understand where its coming from.
Don has been my favorite since before the game dropped she's just so silly, also helps I read Don Quixote years ago so I understand all the references.
Sorry guys, ESGOO swindled me and forced me to youtube donate. I truly hope this heartless bastard stops swindiling us kids (I am 22) of our Limbux. Also, thanks for the pizza. I licked the screen just to make sure i got my share.
for the next poll i propose a question for favorite songs, one for the Mili songs and one for the in game BGM. i think there would be some interesting results from that.
Watching the favorite canto part is heartbreaking for me. The buildup to the end of canto 4 and the themes it explored were way better in my opinion. Maybe it's because I'm familiar with the "source material" being an native english speaker that has read more than 1 version of the story while canto 4 had me on the edge and activated my neurons at every twist.
Yeah, the contents and themes of canto 4 hit closer to home for me as well, but I will admit that the excessive amount of filler fights hampered the experience a bit. I recently watched a friend who more recently started playing go through canto 4 and it made me really notice the gameplay-related problems with it.
my opinion is that while canto 5 is a better gameplay experience overall, with less filler fights and a shorter but still challenging dungeon, canto 4's ending and final fights hit way harder emotionally. it makes it hard to decide between the two lmao, and I hope canto 6 can top both styles~
canto 4 had an absolute peak mili moment that every chapter from here on out is going to be compared to, but I do think that honestly overall canto 5 was a lot better even in terms of story. having an entire story segment basically just be a glorified flashback, while not necessarily terrible, is rarely ever going to be as good as a more active tale where the characters are pursuing something. But more importantly, so much of part 1 and 2 of canto 4 really was just the characters going from point a to point b. Don't get me wrong, there were good moments with them, and we got good lore out of it, but canto 5 felt much more like an actual story was being told than "dongrang teases the sinners and especially yi sang about something cryptic, and then the sinners fought some robots/rebels" on repeat. Most of the good moments from canto 4 came specifically during the climaxes of it.
Particularly for the mobile players, Canto IV also has the worst playing experience due to very frequent crashing during fights, particularly for 4-48 and 4-52. My phone crashed over 40-50 times before completing 4-48 and it was a very frustrating experience since it took a very long time for PMoon to release adequate fixes for it, those being released around MD2 iirc. Beating your head against a metaphorical wall while trying to avoid spoilers for a Canto you're so close to finishing was actually maddening EDIT: I do agree that Canto IV had an immensely satisfying conclusion, and Dongrang is the best written non-playable character by a landslide, I think his arc was borderline perfect. I just wish the circumstances around it weren't so disappointing. No Farmwatch ID was also a part of that, I think
1:20, 4th entry, I GOT INTO AN ESGOO VIDEO! Seriously though this was a really fun activity, more census' would be great. For some thoughts on the results, Rodion being last place is really surprising to me, but after seeing some others perspectives, I can *kinda* see it. Her development in her Canto is really weak, but I do really like her personality, she's a fun character that I hope gets better stuff in the future. As for the "favorite Pmoon game" choice, I didn't realize Ruina swept that hard. It makes sense, I just had real big issues with its difficulty later in the game that kept me from fully enjoying it, but the story is indeed peak, we all worship Roland
27:37 Sadly for the chilean guy, there are two people from the chilean community who like your channel, and I´m the second one, saludos desde Chile Esgoo (greetings from Chile Esgoo)
Just finished the video, I voted my favorite as canto 4 because although 5 was better written I connected way more with Donrang and loved Samjo. Seeing Yi Sang and Donrang fight in the end hit me in a way nothing else has in limbus yet. It just felt like when Yi Sang Flew I was there watching him fly idk how else to explain it other than magical.
Honestly, I feel bad for Gregor and Rodion. They really did have the worse canto's which can be for so many reasons but I think the big 3 are: 1. PM were trying to juggle some amount of charecterisation for the whole gang while later cantos could focus on the actual sinner. 2. The gameplay for later cantos tends to be better, along with the better designed ID that came with them probably causing a bias, cause put it this way, G-corp gregor is essentially the equivelent kind of ID to SPICEBUSH, Nclair (& and Nfaust) and Captain ishmael (not out but if you seen the Limbus community reaction to its announcement... yeah)... with Rodion not even GETTING a yurodivine ID or any other kind of ID. 3. Narratively the cantos were pretty naff, canto 4 and 5 straight up have amazing charecter arcs for Yi Sang and Ishmael, even Sinclairs was pretty good. While Gregors and Rodions came off more as an "introduction" to their charecters/issues, with gregor espically feeling like he didnt change whatsoever during the canto, we learned about his past as a invoulntary war hero who considered a "disgrace" to his ex-comrades, suffering from being the losing side in a war. But we never actually see Gregor change (with the MOST being a tad trauma from the "yuri incident"). I cant help but feel that PJ changed their idea for the charecters/canto mid course from the first canto introducing them, to actually having a charecter stories/drama which was (as we see from how loved both canto 4 and 5 were) the best choice but leave canto 1 and 2 in the dust. I kind of hope they go back and add a bit, the reality is not much funding would be behind it, it would be nice for maybe a bit more dialouge, charecter, even small mechanics like ishmaels "buff" during canto 5. I genuinely think it would be a nice touch if say, gregor had his own version and was required for the apple fight and make it so hes the only one who can do the "skill check" to put more leaning on "failing" said "skill check." (If you played canto 1 you know the skill check im talking about).
@@user-ky2hg7fg4j I mean, that was my point, I literally said that they decided to just introduce Gregor and rodions themes, but not do much else in terms of charecter arcs, while the others (especially yi sang) do that AND give a good bit of charecter arc. The point was that sadly didnt happen for those 2, which could mean their charecter stories could still be unfinished but still emotionally compelling. Not sure why your being weirdly hostile over this.
Some interesting results overall. On the Intervallo thing, personally I like Hell's Chicken more than SEA more because I just consider SEA just straight part of Canto V while Hell's Chicken is it's own little side adventure. It's a lower stakes character piece that I feel added some good flavor to a lot of the Sinners in terms of their personalities shown.
What?!? Canto 3 was my favorite and is what got me hooked into the game, I mean 4 has the guy jump into the acid but 3 felt like it showed the true concept of limbus company
8:11 "Spicebush shouldn't be this high, his animations are good... but his drip is uh... pollon" Uh, nononono, his drip is overgrown nature, flower-y, and the contrast of his plain, dreary attire with the branches of bright yellow flowers growing out of him is gorgeous, creepily-cool, and SO aesthetic. ...I'm also just a sucker for nature-y themed characters in general. It probably wasn't intended to consider the illustrations as well, but I just gotta mention when you first pull spicebush yisang from the gacha, that opening animation of the paper screen door sliding open and he flips close his fan... *chef's kiss *
I am one of the people who voted for Hell's Chicken. As someone who has done therapist work before, I legitimately could not vote for any other option. When you strip away the fantastical and funny elements from it, the story of 3.5 is the story of someone's dreams being crushed and having to walk back to that moment where they were founded. It is Canto 4 in miniature, and told in a way that makes it something that normal, everyday people experience. Just wrapped up in funny.
I'm not entirely surprised by Rodion being last. I actually rank her Canto in last place in terms of my favorite Cantos. Gregor's is second, and you know the rest. Her story just felt, meh and even a bit like it didn't matter. Gregor I hope gets a continuation. Considering his mother is shaping up to be Argalia Ensemble leader 2.0, and the fact that his Canto was the only one to end with a somber, unresolved feeling (Only end credits where target sinner of Canto isnt smiling) Gregor will DEFINITELY get more content for him in the future.
I really like using Tremor Teams ever since I snagged Regret Faust from the Shop (I wasnt lucky getting her during Walpurgis Night 1) The only gripe I have with Tremor is that there are no IDs that have Dodge as their Defense moves, which would make it better with me running MD3H than only getting 5-4 Tremors just to bring at least 2 Dodge IDs for every run
One of the people who does more than 3 MD *Hard* runs a week, two reasons - 1. it gives more starlight, since starlight gain is based on nodes completed, but, more importantly 2. it's actually fun. Normal is so braindead easy that I actually actively dislike it, haven't done a single one since Week 2 or 3. I can't put myself in the mindset of just hit winrate, never could get into gachas - but doing Hard runs with wacky, sometimes underpowered teams can be very rewarding. And you actually get extra starlight for it!
Feeling called out for picking Pride as my favorite Sin Affinity... But you're 100% right, LOL. I do hope you do more of these in the future, these kinds of things are always surprisingly fun.
The pizza was delicious thanks And the reason why ryoshu red eyes ego is so high is because its one of the cleanest katana unsheathe slashes I have ever seen, on par with vergils judgement cut imo
7 association is my favourite so of course gluttony is my favourite sin affinity. I'm kind of surprised it's so low despite rupture being the third ranked status team to run. I feel like lust gloom and wrath are kind of missing an identity relative to the support and synergy the other 3 have and I expected them to be lower, though sloth being last makes sense to me. It's kind of just dieci and yi sang.
Let's gooooo 11th place, Sinclair fans stay winning! *sobs* Not gonna lie tho, Canto 4 and 5 definitely earned the love they have for quality but Canto 3 in my opinion set the tone for the game. We went from metaphorically fighting the sinner's past and trauma to physically. It just hits different.
damn, didnt realize base sinclair would be that unpopular, i thought he'd be more popular since i remember he would carry through that first iteration of mirror dungeon when f2p had little to no resources
I tried to play Limbus after filling out the quiz for the first time since beating Canto 1 at launch. It crashed my fucking computer. This is clearly a sign from Ayin. I believe in his plAn.
I just realized hard MD and normal MD have no difference apart from the bonuses My dumbass has been doing hard MD daily when the rewards are the same from normal MD....
Lust is my pick, but that's because I like Whistles. Sloth would have been my second pick, because they did a great job of giving us sloth fragility and sloth power buffs. Now if only someone other than Yi Sang got to use it.
I am happy to admit I am one of the 10 people who said their favorite id is Base Meursault, glad to see he made third place amongst the base characters. But I must admit I’m a little sad that all of his ids ranked low, but a man like me can dream of the day Meursault gets the peak id he deserves, even if he only holds that spot for a week. Though I will also admit that I didn’t put base Meursault as the Best Drip. So who did the inverse, and had him on best drip but not favorite id? Just curious, I think it’s funny.
I was expecting Ryoshu to be the least popular even though she's my favorite since I feel she's talked about the least, she doesn't get that many lines, and PM tends to forget to give her new stuff for long periods of time. Remember when PM gave her two E.G.O at once because she was the only one left with only two E.G.O and hadn't gotten any E.G.O in the 3 months since launch? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Hard disagree on Dieci Yi Sang being well made. He eats so much sinking count that I wouldn't run him even if Spicebush didn't exist. He almost feels like a season 1 ID with how badly he works with the archetype he's supposed to support. Even if you ignore his problems with sinking, he's still just a worse version of Dieci Rodion. The reason to do more than 1 hard mirror dungeon a week is because it rewards more starlight and it can make a nice change of pace from how mindless the normal mirror dungeon is. I'm kind of proud of how far poise has come since launch when it was a 1% chance of doing +20% damage. Obviously it has problems outside of mirror dungeons but it's definitely come a long way. I'm surprised and disappointed sinking is so far down though. I get that sinking is carried entirely by 3 (now 4) IDs and an E.G.O but killing bosses on turn 2 with a 1000 damage sinking deluge is just too fun..
Wait, are there any different between playing Hard Mirror Dungeon first or playing Normal first? I just play 3 Normal MD first and then go play 1 Hard MD each week to get all the weekly bonus.
@@therealESGOO The phrasing here is ambiguous so to clarify doing a single Hard MD run after a weekly reset will allow you to redeem both the Hard bonus and the three weekly bonuses all at once. There is no need to do ever do a Normal MD run unless you are grinding boxes, starlight or just want to dick around, and it also means you can conserve some modules if you would rather spend them on luxcavations
8:42 Nooo I hesitated between Rosespanner greg and magic bullet outis but ended up being blinded by Outis' flashy bang bang nooo my poor overworked chainsawman :(
I blame project moon for hong lu being so low. They’ve barely given us any contennnttt!!! He probably has the least amount of lines out of all the sinners, which is a damn shame to me, he can’t just keep relying on his golden retriever personality! There’s so much more to him.
i just compeltely dropped off limbus company for some reason, in season 1 i actualy grindind mirror dungeons, even got the sub 120 turns banner. but after that i just lost interest in continuing to play the game outside of story updates. have only done like 2 runs of md3 and never completed rr2.dont think im even gonna touch rr3. and like, i play grandblue fantasy. so im not opposed to a mindless grind.
In risk of sounding a bit contrarian, after testing Magic bullet outside of the walpurgis event... meh? I like that she makes burn viable, but I dont really like her reverse ammo mechanic.
Im not sad about Cantos 1 and 2 rating so low- they did exactly what they were meant to. They set the tone for the game. 1 with the darkness, and 2 for the silliness. The climactic character arcs were always going to beat out tone setters, but that has no bearing on their quality
Hey ESGOO! So, I think for the money question, you should ask how much US dollars they spent, since the prices aren’t localised in the game, but is in the actual spending part.
I usually do 1-2 hard mirror dungeons a week but since that wasn't an option I voted 2-3. Only reason I do multiple is because even if you ended a run prematurely on the 4th floor you still get more starlight, and the enemy buffs only become an issue on the 5th floor
I am the sole manager to vote Don for best drip/animations. I feel truly blessed by this revelation. Thank you Esgoo for stroking my E.G.O. May Sir Ayin bless you. Yes, I did vote base Don for everything. She is perfect.
I still think Canto 3 is the best solely for the fact that the dungeon felt like exploring a dungeon with twist and turns unlike Canto 4/5 that both are just straight lines.
Army in black is my favorite about, but flame gun men is up there Edit: Still on a challenge run for Lob, I will finish it relatively soon. Probably before I catch up in Limbus lol. I am still in Canto 1
I could imagine there was a drop in new players between July and the release of Canto V for uh. Reasons. (I personally started in May-ish bc one of my twitter friends was Gregorposting and the hot bug man got me by the neck.) The rosespanner vibrator comment made me choke omfg. Beautiful, whoever left that comment. This is also the first video of yours I've seen; it was on my recommended tab and I love me some pie charts. I am now subscribed!!
I'm one of those people who do multiple MD3H a week and the reason why is simple: It's just a more fun version of MD3N. Yeah it takes longer cause of the extra floor, but honestly, once you get most of the starlight buffs, you might as well switch to doing MD3H instead of normal since it's more rewarding (the 1.5x starlight multiplier is massive for starlight farming) and also it just gives a reason to actually boot up limbus for more than like 10-20 minutes once a day just to do the dailies.
for the MD hard question I answered 2-3 a week mostly because it was vastly more efficient on starlight gain and I'd cycle teams for even more efficient starlight only 2 of those teams being MD hard viable and I did about 8 mirror dungeon runs a week
Pizzaaaaaaa! Anyways. Rodya (and a lot of Rodya peripheries (Pursuance, Rime Shank, Rosespanner, hell, even What Is Cast), at least for me, are generally something like runner's-ups. I like her character a lot (and though the book was interesting but dear god, keeping track of the names), but I like some other things (Rish, Sunshower Outis, etc), just a bit more, such that I didn't really get an opportunity to vote for her. I'd be curious to see how she (or other lowly ranked options) would have done if we could have picked more than one option.
I do 3-4 Hard Dungeons a week. It's way more engaging then normal and you end up with a lot more ego gifts during a run. I end up with the benefit of a 50% more starlight for the trouble at the very least. It's not more efficient time wise, but if I cared about that; I would simply do one fight. Then get the dungeon rewards for starlight. Rinse, Repeat. Not efficient either for different reasons but it is what it is.
I do more MD3H runs than Normal ones because... I just like it more. Really. That's it. Unless I'm doing a gimmick run and units of said gimmick aren't leveled up enough, I'll go for Hard. It's more fun, and it gives one extra floor worth of reward. Bite me.
As a Canto 4 person, it just clicked more with me. I am a fucking dumbass, so although Canto 4 was absolutely very drawn out, it did give me enough time to actually digest the story as it happened. I didn't even register what Canto 5 (great as it is and objectively better made) was actually about until I watched the Tsunul vid. Sort of seeing Yi Sang's entire story from beginning to end in sort-of-real-time really got me to connect with the theme and, personally, as someone who's done research, who's followed technologies as they are developed and then used to exploit people, who's seen how people and politics and influence affect the lives of researchers and the progress of learning, the backdrop for the overarching theme hit way closer to home.
Storytelling wise, Canto 5 is Peak. However it isnt my favorite Canto because it has my 3 most hated boss fights in it. I fucking hate GasHarpoon Ahab. Ifucking HATE Dream-Devouring Siltcurrent. And most of all, I FUCKING HATE THE PEQUOD CREW FIGHT. QUEEGQUEEG, STARBUCK, I LOVE YOU BUT GOD DAMN DOES YOUR FIGHT SUCK ASS.
If Magic Bullet is the most popular because it's from the second most favourite Abnormality, then I wonder what the reception to getting the QoH Lobcorp EGO will be.

Rodion being last place is a crime.
its her punishment
just wait till we revist her character arc; greg and her feel kinda unfinished
She deserves the world
As much as I love her, Rodion is second to Heathcliff for me, but once we get another Canto for her (here's hoping for 34 total just like the original Dante's Divine Comedy) she'll pop off for sure
She really doesn´t get anything of value story-wise. But I am sure that will change.
I'm not exagerrating
But most importantly i completely disagree all 3 cantos are meant to be taken as a whole because they were released at the same time.
Needless to say I think Grgeor and Rodion will have their chance again in a future canto after XIII
but like baba yaga didn’t kill the sweetest character in the game
As a Yi Sang fan, I am VERY happy to see from this poll how much the fandom loves him. Him having the #2 and #3 drippiest ID was a delight to see! (I voted Spicebrush)
i need whoever the 2 other Zwei Rodya fans are to announce themselves. we shall take our loss with pride.

@@scruffles3838everyone should love a nice mysterious girlie…
To the starlight mines we go!
I just find it more fun. My funny damage numbers have a better chance to pop off on floor 5
for me, little sister don being my favorite has little to do with the fact that she's the first attempt at sin synergy.
Sorry to be nerdy, but didn't N Corp. Heathcliff also mention Cathy? I just checked and he does indeed mention her too.
@@BrevnoPolenovich • Good catch!
Don being 1st place feels both disturbing yet right at the same time
LIMBUS COMPANIIIII!!!!

Numbers! How fun! (Unironically) Hopefully this becomes a recurring thing at the end of every season.
Don has been my favorite since before the game dropped she's just so silly, also helps I read Don Quixote years ago so I understand all the references.

ZWEIGOR IN 13TH ZWEIGORBROS WE WERE SO CLOSE TO GREATNESS
@@mra7081fighting all those tough robots when you don't have a lot of strong blunt units is a pain
my opinion is that while canto 5 is a better gameplay experience overall, with less filler fights and a shorter but still challenging dungeon, canto 4's ending and final fights hit way harder emotionally. it makes it hard to decide between the two lmao, and I hope canto 6 can top both styles~
canto 4 had an absolute peak mili moment that every chapter from here on out is going to be compared to, but I do think that honestly overall canto 5 was a lot better even in terms of story. having an entire story segment basically just be a glorified flashback, while not necessarily terrible, is rarely ever going to be as good as a more active tale where the characters are pursuing something.
Beating your head against a metaphorical wall while trying to avoid spoilers for a Canto you're so close to finishing was actually maddening
EDIT: I do agree that Canto IV had an immensely satisfying conclusion, and Dongrang is the best written non-playable character by a landslide, I think his arc was borderline perfect. I just wish the circumstances around it weren't so disappointing. No Farmwatch ID was also a part of that, I think
HOLY RECENCY BIAS
Tremor is the only thing in mirror dungeon that can stack 30+ defense level down alongside couple of fragile. I love tremor! I live for tremor!
Just finished the video, I voted my favorite as canto 4 because although 5 was better written I connected way more with Donrang and loved Samjo. Seeing Yi Sang and Donrang fight in the end hit me in a way nothing else has in limbus yet. It just felt like when Yi Sang Flew I was there watching him fly idk how else to explain it other than magical.
no... not dongrang why would you say that lol 😭
Honestly, I feel bad for Gregor and Rodion. They really did have the worse canto's which can be for so many reasons but I think the big 3 are:
I genuinely think it would be a nice touch if say, gregor had his own version and was required for the apple fight and make it so hes the only one who can do the "skill check" to put more leaning on "failing" said "skill check." (If you played canto 1 you know the skill check im talking about).
..Or maybe it's because they obviously aren't finished yet lmfao?
@@user-ky2hg7fg4j I mean, that was my point, I literally said that they decided to just introduce Gregor and rodions themes, but not do much else in terms of charecter arcs, while the others (especially yi sang) do that AND give a good bit of charecter arc. The point was that sadly didnt happen for those 2, which could mean their charecter stories could still be unfinished but still emotionally compelling. Not sure why your being weirdly hostile over this.
yeah, we should've got a rodion id, similar to g corp greg, n sinclair, ego yi sang, and the upcoming ishmael id
@@wha32423 I think the intent was for maybe the baba yaga ego thing to be that, but idk.
8:11 "Spicebush shouldn't be this high, his animations are good... but his drip is uh... pollon"
Uh, nononono, his drip is overgrown nature, flower-y, and the contrast of his plain, dreary attire with the branches of bright yellow flowers growing out of him is gorgeous, creepily-cool, and SO aesthetic.
...I'm also just a sucker for nature-y themed characters in general.
I really like using Tremor Teams ever since I snagged Regret Faust from the Shop (I wasnt lucky getting her during Walpurgis Night 1)
The only gripe I have with Tremor is that there are no IDs that have Dodge as their Defense moves, which would make it better with me running MD3H than only getting 5-4 Tremors just to bring at least 2 Dodge IDs for every run
One of the people who does more than 3 MD *Hard* runs a week, two reasons -
1. it gives more starlight, since starlight gain is based on nodes completed, but, more importantly
2. it's actually fun.

*sobs*
Not gonna lie tho, Canto 4 and 5 definitely earned the love they have for quality but Canto 3 in my opinion set the tone for the game. We went from metaphorically fighting the sinner's past and trauma to physically. It just hits different.
damn, didnt realize base sinclair would be that unpopular, i thought he'd be more popular since i remember he would carry through that first iteration of mirror dungeon when f2p had little to no resources

Huge props for making this. Your dedication is truly incredible, and I hope you keep it up. As always, quality content.
Hard Mirror Dungeon Weekly Bonus is better, so it's best to do 1 Hard Mirror Dungeon before doing any Normal once Weekly Reset happens

In risk of sounding a bit contrarian, after testing Magic bullet outside of the walpurgis event... meh? I like that she makes burn viable, but I dont really like her reverse ammo mechanic.
As some one who voted for W Yi Sang, I just gotta say one thing
But that backflip tho 👀
I want to grind out starlight, and I like going for the Huge Bloise Numbers, so I do a decent amount of MD3H.
Im not sad about Cantos 1 and 2 rating so low- they did exactly what they were meant to. They set the tone for the game. 1 with the darkness, and 2 for the silliness. The climactic character arcs were always going to beat out tone setters, but that has no bearing on their quality
Very enjoyable to watch the Stats unfold and finding where I belonged in the mess, Yessss
The only reason why I read all dante notes is because of the annoying red ! icon :)
I totaly did not spend 50+ euros on shrimplu 😭🙏

That's a lot of opinions, it is fun seeing people have different views on stuff, I find it interesting

Esgoo eri un conchetumare lmao
I do 3-4 Hard Dungeons a week. It's way more engaging then normal and you end up with a lot more ego gifts during a run. I end up with the benefit of a 50% more starlight for the trouble at the very least. It's not more efficient time wise, but if I cared about that; I would simply do one fight. Then get the dungeon rewards for starlight. Rinse, Repeat. Not efficient either for different reasons but it is what it is.
Yey, new ESGOO video. Lovely.
