MAP SENSOR CAN BE LEFT ALONE ON THE THROTTLE!! NO NEED TO CUT UNLESS YOU WANT THE ECU TO SEE BOOST BUT WILL CAUSE ISSUES IF IT SEES MORE THAN 1-2psi BEST TO LEAVE IT ON THE THROTTLE

@@fefefirecrackers There are a few piggyback options. Aem Fuel/Ignition controller, Link has a piggyback, the Apexi neo he picked up, there's a few universal tuning options

You are ligit a life saver! I have a 03 honda pilot and have been searching for a good year now trying to find a good kit and way to supercharge my pilot! You just made my night as now I have a foundation to now get what I need for my honda pilot! I got the J35a4.

Is your 03 FWD or 4WD? the pre-06 models have much weaker transmissions that usually fail much earlier. If you do this, let me know how that auto holds up under load! I'm looking for a good trans option for my 06 because the updated 4wd version of yours still isn't enough for me to run 10psi without ridiculous slip. I think the 4wd version is too complex to properly tune it or turn it off completely at my level of skill.
@@billspangler2685 mine is a AWD I have over 170,000 miles currently and she is holding up strong and has done towing as far as 400 miles one way and 400 miles back. Haven't had many issues but I'm not gonna promise that it's the best. But when I can get the super charger and all done I will be sure to comment a update

Swap a cl type s manual
For the NSX you might be able to get it a 1/2 inch lower by face milling the plates and the bottom of the supercharger. You could prototype the plates in wood if you know someone with a planer. Remaking that top plate with countersunk bolts should get you a bit more if that's where it's hitting. Also you could face down the tower that the plate bolts to. Lastly maybe motor and trans mounts.

I just want to give you a big thank you. My wife and I were discussing buying a camper and we were concerned about needing a new vehicle to pull it. With my Pilot being paid off that was a shame, but with the work you put in here, I should be alright with just adding an M90 and there's going to be almost no guess work. Much appreciated.

bought stuff from Prank Parts for my J37 manifold swap I recommend. J32A2 with a j37 manifold 6 Speed Swapped 00 Accord. For this supercharger mod you will have to cut your hood like many accords, civics, tegras, TL/TL-S/CL-S ect. But if you don't want to cut your hood and want to go supercharged for your J-Series, go with competech Super Charger or hit up Gerzy Bear Performance which supply rotrex supercharger kit but will lose A/C.
I didn’t lose anything and have hood clearance but that’s the best part of the pilot plenty of room but good info nonetheless

Use the mini tec m90 adapter on the NSX. It deletes the intake manifold.

I need to know where to buy the supercharger.
This is an Eaton M90 off of a GM 3800. There's a ton of them out there for dirt cheap online and scrapyards. They're very easy to get a hold of. There are two different versions of it which the 3800 following refers to as Gen 3 and Gen 5. Any series 2 3800 will have a gen 3, a series 3 3800 will have a gen 5. The gen 5 is better but gen 3s can be modified to perform close to a gen 5 though.
Edit: The adapter is for a Gen 5 it seems. They're harder to find (04 - 08 Pontiac Grand Prix GTs ONLY) then the Gen 3s but still relatively easy.

How much space between the top of the engine and the hood? Wondering if it’s the same as the 07 MDX also maybe KTuner come up with a tuning solution for the pilot since they offer for ridgeline and mdx.
yea I looked deep into it and only certain years of ridge lines and mdx but I’m sure someone will figure it out.

Yes, but is a slightly different variant. 05 and older has the j35a4, and 06 is the j35a9 and sometimes the j35z1. Pretty similar though so all this stuff should bolt up.

Interestingly enough, Saturn used the j35 v6 in at least their 2005 models as an option.

Are you going to get the transmission build because I heard thos automatic Trans are extremely weak??
They aren’t weak like people think. They just need transmission coolers and fresh good fluid. It’s actually the “fix” that Honda recommends to the “weak” transmissions. Also you get these young kids out here revving in neutral and slamming into drive and that’s what really screws them up and flushing them because they are low flow transmissions so they require a drain and fill method only. I have almost 200,000 miles on our pilot in our transmission is never giving us issues as long as it taken care of properly and you get transmission cooler installed the last of very long time I have plans to do way more videos stay tuned.

2006 Grand Prix GTP is the exact one I have on mine. Make sure it’s rectangle not triangle throttle body

I wanted to do this to my Odyssey and have it tuned but EVERY shop I called that specialized in Honda tuning laughed and told me it wasn't worth it and that the trans wouldn't hold up. I literally called 10 different shops. Bummed and disappointed I sold my Odyssey and supercharger kit. Too bad nobody makes tuning software for the older J series, it's DBW or nothing.
They laugh because they don’t see the potential we do. It is possible especially an Odyssey and just gotta get a piggy back until they come out with a Hondata or K tuner hardware/software
Old pilots are the most durable, rugged, and badass cars ever. My old family car Pilot is sitting in the yard collecting rust right now, someday I want to widebody it and slap a supercharger in the thing and take it rallying.

Yes all j35 have the same intake manifold.
You can even upgrade to j37 intake with throttle body just have to change location for intake sensor

As a h5 owner I’ve ripped the torque converter up before the the actual trans itself needed to be changed
I hope he lowered it for better center gravity because suv's have a reputation for turning over .

Didn’t measure but removing the tq spacer would give added clearance for most vehicles except accord

Lol so I can put it on my four door Civic e.g j35a4. went 2 Pull-A-Part got my supercharger from a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix. Bro! Im a san antonio transplant and my honda fit got shot up in a gang related thing a few months ago. Im having a bitch of a time finding my electrical short (one round went through the rear main harness). I rewired it a but still cant keep my turn signals on. Do you have any advice?

@@GloStiq Yes it does, but instead of buying the kit I ended up opting for a project car and kept the accord as my daily driver. However, I also ended up dropping 1k on brand new Enkei EDR9s for it.

That The Biggest HP Limiter On Those Engines (I Think The World Record On A M90 3800 Is 400WHP). Now Start Taking The 4T65E-HD Transmissions From Them hahaha JK. It's Crazy How They Are Making Adaptor Plates And Stuff For This SuperCharger. To My Knowledge It's This Engine And The 3100-3400 GM That Companies Are Making M90 Adaptor Kits For.

Do you realllllly think adding forced induction to a modern computer controlled j-series honda motor wouldn't require a tune?
You could run an M65 supercharger it is about 1.5" shorter, but smaller overall. This would make more heat, but the it is still plenty of displacement for the J series.

Yes, take out back seats + spare + back assembly and save 500 lbs. 2800 lb curb with the J35 supercharged you'll fly past just about everything

It does block flow but still a cool concept and bolt on design. Ima definitely upgrade in the future but this setup is fun and I already put 1,200 miles on it and it’s doing great 👍🏻

Super SC install video for a one-of-a-kind Pilot. The Pilot has zero performance aftermarket support so you are definitely onto something here.The EGR pathways in the intake looked like they could use some clearing but since you're EGR-less it may be a non-issue.
Well ya EGR is blocked off now due to adapter plate but it the pathways were cleaned up recently but oh well I’ll figure a solution out

I bought my m90 for 340 so depending on the price of it it can easily be around 1-1.2k
What year is this pilot? Is the J35 the desired engine?
I think the J35 with J32 heads and j37 intake manifold was the ideal setup if I remember right. Mine is a 2003
2 to 3 psi you will probably be making about the same power with extra losses

Definitely adjustable fuel pressure regulator and crank the pressure or ghetto way just clamp off return line for sure and watch your a/f reading if you have a scan tool that does so will help for a couple psi of boost so it doesn’t lean too bad. Very neat though . Also a infiniti q45 throttle body bolts up to a k series and the wiring for tps will match don’t know if it will work for j series but it’s cheap from a scrap yard you just need the pig tail for tps

Pump is already a walbro 255 and injectors will be getting upgraded but if you have a Honda Pilot computer that’s live tuneable please point me in the right direction.
