I'm impressed ! It's not easy to impress me. When I clicked on this I suspected trash, but even as limited equipment you have to work with, you have done an exceptional job.
Right on dude buying your own house is awesome. No more rent, can do whatever you want in your garage, tear it apart and leave it apart for how long you need.
Hello !.. New subscriber here just letting you know I'm a big fan of your build philosophy.. you Sir.. Have a GIFTED MIND , looking forward to new content " you're pretty awesome dude ".
Great timing that you are buying your new shop (home) and the YoiuTube Gods have blessed you with being promoted, both look like they have been earned. I'm new here and I'm interested to see how this works out for you, it looks awesome and I can't wait to hear it on your first start.
@@BeatUpBuilds I have an 86. I bought as a project and I daily drive it. It’s getting new tires in the next week or so and hopefully changing gears from 4:10 to 4:56 and adding a spartan locker in the rear at the same time. Depending on if my mechanic can squeeze it in. I’m sure he will though because he’s selling me the parts and it was his idea. I upload stupid little shorts with it now and then if ya want to check it out.
I've daily driven this truck since I got it in 2015, I've put close to 50k miles on it so far. I've had a full sized locker the whole time I have owned the truck. The spartan being a lunchbox locker might be a little more noisy/grumpy but really its not bad at all daily driving with one. Offroad is great with one. 4.10-4.56 is a nice change you will love it! I subscribed one more and your at 100! shorts are great, you always have enough time to watch them!
@@BeatUpBuilds I plan on keeping mine but my daughter thinks I should give it to her when she gets her license. She’s also my editor and has a video ready to go for 100 subs. LOL. We keep em silly.
Looks good but it seems like it is gonna need a bigger intake for sure, otherwise, make sure to fill it with water and make sure it doesn't leak, It's amazing work and I'm excited to see how it turns out, wanted to do something similar for a long time
Good work man, it'd be cool if you could do a before and after on a dyno or a horsepower app to see how much the gains are. Good luck with the move, can't wait to see more.
Hey just thinking about my i believe it was a 91 or 92 toyota previa van well i didnt know anything about those vans but i got under the hood (well not really the hood but in the cab ) but i remember finding out that it had a supercharger on i was in absolute shock it was a 4 banger but if u have ever been under the hood of one of those vans u will definitely know what im saying it was an absolute engineering gem i mean it was seperate from the motor anyway u should see them definitely cool and for a 4 cylinder she moved pretty good.
If you need to see crazy fabrication, look up Ray Soto, he puts superchargers that have no business on engines that need superchargers, he is very knowledgeable and does absolutely crazy engineering to make them work
It looks like your polarity might be backwards on your welder . Try switching your positive and negative. For gas they are one way and opposite for flux core. You might already know this but it's worth a try. Years ago I use to cover up my terrible welds with JB weld. Gotta love JB weld, zioties and duct tape.
li added lc engineering cam sprocket added 2 degress and as it werars back to were it was / help top end of mid rage a bit adding that blower to mix yep .card board added drafting love it .C.A.D. if you get aggravated at that get a ebay turbo manifold and a cheap turbo i like them better a small GT28 GT2871 TURBO
Find yourself a stuffed motor to use for the fab. Don't take any advice from people cos half of them don't know anything about forced induction. I just did a m90 on a v6, injectors and f/pump upgrade where very most noticeable upgrade. Stock m90 only puts out 7-12 psi so supercharger won't make that much difference, until, you upgrade fuel, this I've experienced over last 8 weeks. Disappointing performance for all the work. Until I did the fuel system. Keep it up you will get there, worth it in the end 😊
Thanks! I think with my pulley setup I can make around 11-12psi max. I am going to use the bypass valve to attempt to keep boost around 5psi until I get some kind of stand alone efi. Not sure what efi I will use. I assembled and tuned a megasquirt years ago but not sure if I should do that again or try something else.
theres a jeep on the youtube that has a m90 that's inverted. if you go to my page, Look up the playlist "v6 mustangs with nice sounds" find the lime green mustang on the 5th video down. A guy called mustangMan has the same setup, an inverted m112 supercharger where the pressurized air is piped through an intercooler and fed into where the car normally has its air intake. its a crazy setup and way easier to do then what you are doing.
I thought about doing it that way but it would only fit over the exhaust manifold. From what I have read the supercharger runs hot enough to begin with I didn't think putting it over the exhaust was going to be a great idea. I think Richard Holdener did a video comparing supercharger heat to turbo heat and the supercharger ran hotter. I also really didn't want to run a front mount intercooler, there just isn't much room. I also think putting it on that side I was fighting the distributor and brake booster being in my way. So the combination of these issues made me go the direction I went.
Is that a supercharger for a GM 3.8 ltr? I just picked up a nice 70k mile buick Lesabre that was garage kept all its life. I'd love to have a supercharger for it!. For getting rust out of a cooling system try lime away or even the works calcium & lime toilet bowl cleaner. Air pressure along with a garden hose works better when flushing a cooling system.
It’s a ford super coupe m90. Pretty much the same inside but the housing is different. My radiator plugged up and I replaced it with a cheap aluminum. That video will be out soon. I’m saving the old copper I might get it recored.
I’m curious if your welder settings or gas setting, but something doesn’t look right on your welds. Maybe somebody with setup knowledge will post a comment to help you out. It’s been too long for me to be able give you specific tuning tips. Great work tho. Just needs some fine tuning. Cheers.
You won't believe me but I am actually a halfway decent welder. The machine I have is the crappiest flux core possible and the spool doesn't roll so well on its spindle. My dad has a old mig welder that has worked decent in the past but moving it around the garage the wire speed knob got slammed into something so now the wire speed setting dances around while your welding. He got a new potentiometer but I haven't had a chance to attempt to install it with everything else going on.
If it were a gas issue you would see the porosity immediately in every weld. They look like flux core welds, flux core is inherently a pain in the ars to weld with, ESPECIALLY if you're welding thin material (less than 1/4 inch)
I admire you just going for it but don't sacrifice your daily! Focus on your house and finances, get a cheap beater for a daily so you can have your truck as a project. I got a 2001 Corolla when it was time to save for a house 7 years ago and it saved me so much money that I'm now putting into all my Toyota projects.
I have to sacrifice the daily for the youtube dream. As long as the block doesn't gain a window, or the piston walls don't get scored up I can rebuild it pretty quickly. Wish me luck!
Cool project!! No offense, but your welds look like poo.. I would bet you probably have c cheap welder for #1. Not using shielding gad, or don't have it adjusted correctly #2. And obviously are running the welder with the settings off just a bit.
get a russ or my go to solution microsquirt ecu high high impedance injector or resistors i fer get wither it has them stock or not rising rate pressure regulator fer fuel and android tablets can get a tuner mostly pc does that but work as a dash gauges monitor top shelf cheap edis ford ignition is a great cheap system to use or cop all work with it tuning is a must boost retard 1 degree per pound of chooosh. All very simple stuff .1 thing at a time via recipe
I built a DIY PNP megasquirt for my toyota celica, I had initially wanted to turbo the 22re in that one. I got the ecu working N/A and then ditched the turbo idea and put a small block ford 302 and t5 in it. I an considering the microsquirt I have experience with it so that makes it easier.
I'm impressed ! It's not easy to impress me. When I clicked on this I suspected trash, but even as limited equipment you have to work with, you have done an exceptional job.

Thanks for the support. Can’t wait to get in my new garage!
lol. Ypu can do that at a rental, house too. And just leave the mess for the owner. ………I mean is that wrong ? Oops
Good for you for getting of the couch . Freekn wow man

Your too kind!
I would seal up the welds on the inlet manifold using JB WELD. It would also clean up the look of it.
I had that supercharger on my thunderbird sc. I got a smaller pulley bigger throttle body 🔥
This is an awesome concept! Excited to see how she works out
This reminds me of the projects ive been privileged to join in that my friends have had and you get my sub man
Awsome work subbed!

I’m subscribing for the 1st gen 4Runner stuff. I’ll catch up on old videos this week while I wait for a new one.
Thanks, there will be plenty of videos on the 4 runner. I have a lot of projects in mind for it.

I would love to do that, do you know of any free ones? I am guessing a 20 second quarter mile currently with no supercharger.
With 84hp to the wheels or 21 hp per tire the 22re needs all the help it can get.
The lack of horsepower is the biggest flaw the truck has.

The previa is basically the alien spaceship of minivans.

Good tip but that is the first thing I fixed when I acquired the welder. I'm a certified JB welder by the way.
Alright mister! Good start to a channel. Perseverance will reward you. How far you gonna go with this channel?
I want it to be a full time gig. Not quitting my day job yet though! Just going to keep going till I get there.
