The more time I spend using Samsung DeX the impressed I am with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra; a powerful computer held in my hand.
Dex is very underrated! It can replace 80% light tasks on PC. For this reason, I no longer need a slim laptop. If I ever buy a laptop or macbook again, I will go with the pro version.
That's actually... something that makes a lot of sense. DeX replacing your laptop and not your whole computing system...
You could use a virtual Microsoft Windows cloud computer and avoid buying a notebook computer for those times that Samsung DeX and your smartphone/tablet are not sufficient.
what a setup... since WFH im also turn all of my workflow into samsung dex abd im loving it
In 10 years smartphones with a full fledged out desktop mode (maybe similar to windows 10, or maybe even an official fusion of android and windows 10 with windows 10 being the desktop-mode part of android, everything is possible) could be popular. Imagine a future where classical desktop pcs are only used for heavy computing powers while for everydays normal internet surfing, chatting and youtube-ing, a smartphone in desktop-mode could be enough for many people.

Get a mouse and keyboard that can switch between different devices and you don't have to use 2 of them
Since that video a lot of things changed with my setup. one of them being : Logitech K380 and MX Master mouse.

Most likely there will be a Beta version of Windows On Dex
What would be the advantage?
@@davidcaldera6768 The advantage would be to move all Adobe programs and several emulators, which unfortunately only runs on the x86 architecture
So I'm assuming this Beta version of Windows would keep close integration of Dex? Would you expect it to run in a virtual machine kind of context? Im asking about Dex because I like where the ecosystem is going to Dex and Samsung Devices. It would be nice to still have that close integration with Samsung Internet, passwords and all the apps we use on our Samsung phones.
@@davidcaldera6768 I think so too, but Windows 10 will most likely come in the full version because Apple will launch the Silicon processor and Samsung will not be left behind
It is very likely that you will also be able to tinker in Dex mode and Windows mode, just as you did in Linux on Dex
So all the devices were running on dex at the same time ?
Good morning, first of all your videos are excellent, I follow everyone and use DEX as the main PC in my house. I would like to take a question and make a suggestion, is the Octopus app safe to use? I read somewhere that it could steal data like passwords and etc ... I would like to suggest that you make a list of games that work in DEX mode, those that work with gamepad, keyboard and mouse, would be very interesting. Congratulations for the content.

Has anyone figured out how to use the camera in landscape mode when using Samsung Dex?
I ordered a 4k 15.6 touch screen not realizing 4K is not supported. Was an Amazon lightning sale so only about $60 more than non-touch 15.6 1080p. Should I just return the 4K and go with 1080p? 🤔
I'm looking at doing something similar as I have my macbook as my daily driver but I'm contemplating moving to Dex. What do you think of Dex as a daily driver?

Personally I prefer the Logitech k780 (full-size keyboard) plus the Logitech triathlon m720 since then it's just one keyboard and mouse with easy switching between devices. I actually set device 1 and 3 to Bluetooth connections (phone and tablet) and number 2 to the usb receiver so I can change it from my pc to other devices without having to re-pair

Screensaver is an app called Liquid Simulator. Haven't figure it out how to start auto after idle time. At this moment i need to open it manually.

Maybe we could use a Tasker trigger to launch the app after a set inactive time? Unfortunately not able to in Bixby Routines as I have checked (would have been easiest but we know Bixby is very limited)

hi i recently just realized that i can no longer user resize my netflix in dex mode. i used the dex max app but now longer can. and keeps pausing when i go another window. is there an alternative like dex max ? for resizing and not pausing when doing other things? please make a tutorial thanks
Can anyone get ultrawide displays working on old phones, my S10e won't output to 2560x1080 buty S24 Ultra can(think the Multistar app in goodlock allowed this on the Ultra but not the S10e)

Hello, I liked your video. I have a question and about the virtualhere usb application. I use Dex to play in shadow, whith galaxy note 10 plus, when I use the galaxy buds I can hear but I cannot use the microphone and in the shadow window the bluethooth headphones do not recognize the galaxy buds. With virtualhere usb, can I get it to work?

ShadowPC android app works with Bluetooth devices which are detected as "input device" : keyboard/mouse/controllers ect.
Galaxy Bugs once connected marked as audio in/out device which won't work.
VirtualHere do not support bluetooth over IP.
I've been looking for bluetooth_over_ip software, could not find one ...

is it normal to take some time to be able to start typeing once you click on a text box? or is it my bluetooth keyboard?
On DeX. in some of the places it is normal. Like for example app list search bar at top/right. once i click i give 1 - 2 sec for it to catch up.

Hello, had you ever tried some PC cloud system that has android laucnher? i am a enginering student and there is 2 of 3 most used programns in android, but that 1 that is not supported is very important, so i am serching for one cloud PC windows 10 that i could login in and install my program and work by the samsung dex, there is 2 cloud signature that work like that for me, one is SHADOW, i tried to use it but need a US Credit card (i live in Brazil, next to Venezuela my ping for florida is 90ms) and there is Vectordash that has servers all around the globe (also in Brazil), i will test vectordash in the end of the mouth because is when my classes will be back, i think you should try it too. love me dex. help me a lot as student.

Can the Tab S7+ use 2.monitor but not mirrored?
As far as i know, dex don't support dual screens regardless which device you will use. I do hope that dual screen feature coming soon.
